Text re the notification of our case, by Lambros B. and Panagiotis B.

I know how the newspapers lie,

because they wrote that they shot you in the foot.

I know they never aim for the legs.

In the mind is the target, your mind, huh?

Katerina Gogou

On Tuesday, September 20, a bunch of plainclothes cops (of various services according to their statement, led by State security officers) accompanied by a prosecutor entered the house we live in to conduct a search and at the same time notified us with a written summons that we are accused of a case from last year, for which both our comrades and friends Fotis D. and Jason R. are accused with ridiculous and fabricated evidence and have been held in custody for almost 11 months.

During their stay in the house they destroyed everything and took with them our personal objects of museum character, all the electronic devices that existed in the house and books/brochures/things that they themselves considered dangerous (the books in particular were what was in our library from comrade Dimitris Koufontinas and some other foreign revolutionary organizations, because apparently revolutionary memory gives the cops and the State nightmares)

Athens, Greece: Taking responsibility for a placed incendiary devices at the Mercedes dealership in Acharnon ave, by Anarchists

Athens, Taking responsibility by Anarchists

On 8/9 we placed incendiary devices at the Mercedes dealership in Acharnon avenue street, the result was the destruction of the store’s facade and at least four burnt luxury cars.

Mercedes is the oldest car company in the world. From the very first moment, the production of cars has been a disaster for the planet. A large percentage of the world’s oil production is used to run cars. Their production poisons the water and air and destroys large areas of the natural world.

The car industry has changed our lives enormously. Roads and railroads have been built everywhere. Trains, buses and cars are used primarily so that they can, in a short time, travel long distances to get people to the sweatshops of wage slavery.

EN/IT : An update on the situation of anarchist Ivan Alocco (France, October 5, 2022)

An update on the situation of anarchist Ivan Alocco

October : anarchist comrade Ivan, arrested on June 11 and accused of six arson attacks against vehicles, was brought before the judge of freedoms at the Bobigny courthouse. Vice-president Claire Vettier, the same one who had ratified his imprisonment on June 13, renewed the comrade’s preventive detention for four more months.

In the meantime, his correspondence seems to have unblocked. Although old letters continue to gather dust in the examining magistrate’s office, the comrade received two postcards and a letter, sent in the last few days. They gave him great pleasure and he thanks those who thought of him.

Let us not forget the imprisoned revolutionaries.
Solidarity is the attack!

The address of the comrade:

Greece: No cover-up for the torturers of Vassilis Mangos

No cover-up for the torturers of Vassilis Manggos

On October 21 the trial against three police officers for the beating of the comrade Vassilis Manggos (which took place two and a half years ago) will take place in the court Volos. Vassilis was beaten and arrested by the MAT (anti-riot police) and the OPKE (anti-terrorism unit) during the attack on the demonstration in solidarity with the arrested of the long march the previous day, against the construction of a new plant designed to convert commercial waste into fuel.

Taken to Volos police station he was insulted, humiliated, beaten and tortured by the guardians of the law, who late at night released him in a semi-conscious state with six broken ribs. Three days later he denounced in a text the torture and beatings he suffered that scarred him for life and led to his death a month later.
After two and a half years the local judiciary finally decided to send three accused police officers to trial, but for one minor offence, that of grievous bodily harm. In addition, it took no account whatsoever of the request submitted by Vassilis’s parents, and the testimonies of dozens of people present at the scene of the arrest. This shows that this trial is a farce, whose only purpose is to unmask a few of those responsible for the beating of Vassilis, and cover up the torture he suffered. This is yet another case of judicial mafia, hatched by the judiciary against its own people, a judiciary that supports LaFarge’s colonialist plans – AGET and at the same tinme has declared war on the inhabitants of Volos.

At the local level, the imposition of commercial activities at the expense of people and the environment is evident, with the municipal authority of Beos, and their respective governments, completely subservient to the dictates of capital. The privatisation of public social elements, such as water in Stagiatis, is one of the great scourges of our region. Officials chosen from the ranks of cops and businessmen, with the support of the judiciary, undermine with every means and downgrade the region’s water to sell it to unscrupulous private entrepreneurs and monopoly giants. Through the use of mafia practices, the municipal authority is seeking to suppress the local community’s struggle against privatisation. A thorn in the side of their plans is the organised resistance of residents.

The horizon of events. Incendiary thoughts scattered over the last drops of fuel of capitalism

Here the english translation of the article by Lunanera, “L’orizzonte degli eventi. Pensieri incendiari sparsi sulle ultime gocce di carburante del Capitalismo” (published in “Bollettino”, no. 7, Biblioteca dello Spazio Anarchico “Lunanera” and Archivio di Documentazione “Franco Di Gioia”, Cosenza, Italy, March 2022). The translation, made by “Act for freedom now!” (which we thank very much!), has been revised and corrected in some passages by some comrades and re-published online in “La Nemesi”.

The horizon of events
Incendiary thoughts scattered over the last drops of fuel of Capitalism

If it is true that States and governments are ‘groping in the dark’ with regard to the pandemic, now of secondary importance compared to the new emergency priorities, on the other hand the bosses are showing great efficiency in safeguarding old privileges and no scruples in grabbing new ones. War and imperialism have become the new parameters of collective security in a matter of days.

On the one hand, the scientists of the pharmaceutical companies are revealing failure concerning the plan of action against the virus: the nanotechnological product, the new miracle commodity commonly referred to as the ‘vaccine’ is not so effective in realising expectations that it would stem the pandemic. On the other hand, the political world must declare that something good has been done and that institutional bodies are still necessary. They serve to say, for example, that ‘everything will be fine’.

La Nemesi: a new website in support of practices of attack and international revolutionary solidarity

La Nemesi is a website run by anarchists and dedicated to publishing texts about the conflict against the state, capital and all authority. With the opening of this website we intend to go beyond the characteristics of so-called counter-information, giving more space to texts and contributions that more often than not, in the counter-information spaces that populate the virtual world, end up being buried in the vagueness generated by the telematic tool.

La Nemesi was thus created with the aim of publishing and spreading claim or informative texts concerning actions and sabotage, as well as articles, reports and correspondences from uprisings and insurrections all over the world. It is a kind of ‘bulletin’ of the anarchist revolutionary struggle and more generally of the social war waged by the oppressed.

Equally space will be dedicated to the publication of statements and documents written by anarchists imprisoned in state prisons, as well as updates on the prison situation of comrades, mobilisations and initiatives in solidarity, past, present and future anti-anarchist repressive operations, and in general the repression against the movement.

Solidarity message to the revolted peoples in Iran, and to the anti-war movement in Russia, from captive anarchist guerrilla Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis (greek prisons)

My sisters and brothers,

you who today in Iran are fighting against patriarchy, theocracy and class oligarchy, you, who by uncovering your faces, by your blood on the streets, are taking that common struggle one step further up the way to global liberation from authority,
together with you I declare and rejoice over the death of terror.

No one experience of tyranny and servility can be be compared with another. The tortures you have been subjected to by the iranian state, throughout its history, are inconceivable. But the struggle unites us. In Greece, day by day, femicides are multiplying. The priests justify rape through their official statements. The impoverishment of the exploited and the excluded, the killings of migrants and the military repression are dressed with the cloak of nationalism, like everywhere. All the states, the iranian, the greek, the russian, the turkish etc, portray social resistance as the “external enemy”.

The people have no borders. All together we will change the world. History has taught us that only through social self-direction and self-defense can we build popular power. Solidarity, that leads to equality through con-federalism within and on either side of borders, this is our way. For this reason, I salute again the Kurdish Movement of Freedom, for its contribution -with boundless self sacrifice- towards the construction of the internationalist, intercultural and borderless revolutionary movement in the Middle East, and especially towards the global women struggle.

About Orwell and the case of Mónica and Francisco

That every metropolis fulfills all the criteria of a panopticon, well, that is not really saying anything new. The question becomes, which city has a higher density of surveillance technology at its disposal and how intensively is it used?

Therefore, it is obvious that Orwell’s ideas of a completely monitored society were accurate, but not in the dimension that he imagined, or the foundations for it. In particular, dictatorship is unnecessary, which for him would be an important basis of this complete surveillance, to bring it about. Complete surveillance is therefore not an expression of a specific system of capitalism, but it is inherent to its political administration and articulation, namely, the state. So it is a false dichotomy to think that complete surveillance would only be the result of a more “authoritarian” system. Such a way of thinking only feeds on the desire and ideology that the state in better hands could wear a friendly mask. We see this also in the midst of the debate about the corona virus, where leftist groups, but also anarchists, see the saber-rattling of the repression, the introduction of curfew, of quarantine, etc., as a protofascist development and do not want to understand that the state, no matter which – whether democratic or other varieties – always carries such mechanisms and powers (as a monopoly) to guarantee its survival. The political administration and the organization of the State always remains the same, only the criteria and the ideologies of the political forces in power change, this would no longer be a false dichotomy. The State has historically used all the means at its disposal to guarantee the smooth running of its business. The nation-state is therefore the logical consequence, as well as the class society, of capitalism and not the other way around.

We consider this important to say yet again because we never get tired of wanting to understand the basis of the state and capitalism in order to be able to destroy it in real terms. There are far too many foolish historical examples that show us what paths are taken when this is not clear from the beginning.

Now to the case of Mónica and Francisco

On July 24 [2020], Mónica Caballero and Francisco Solar were arrested in Chile. We have extensively dealt with their detention trial, which was broadcast live on television. This detention trial is in no way comparable to what we are familiar with in Germany or other EU countries. If we think about the fact that such a detention examination here lasts about 10 minutes, simply to clarify whether an accused person is to be remanded in custody because, for example, there is a risk of flight or a risk of collusion, this is apparently different in Chile. It is not clear to us if there is always a live broadcast on television, or if it is due to the covid measures.
