Chile: Interview with Espacio Fénix EN/ES

ES: (Chile) Entrevista a Espacio Fénix

Opening the tensions of dialogue, we present the following section of interviews with individuals, collectivities and related spaces that make up the anarchic body in different parts of the world.

The interviews are a valuable contribution to the observation in detail and depth; they come, in a certain way, to broaden the view to give us feedback among comrades and to debate with perspectives and projections, that although they may be different, they converge in the ideas and practices of freedom against all authority.

Without further ado, we have in this first venture of dialogues the comrades of Espacio Fénix.

1-How and when did Espacio Fénix arise, and what projects converge in the space?

Facing a Covert Life Sentence, Action is Always Worth It: Words of Francisco Solar

Facing a Covert Life Sentence, Action is Always Worth It

Did you expect anything else from Power? Although the 86 year prison sentence has provoked surprise and a certain consternation, Power acted accordingly. It has punished forceful actions aimed at its defenders and representatives, the boldness of open rebellion that struck its spaces which it believed were unassailable and also the blatant and unambiguous vindication of these attacks, demonstrating that it sees the danger that spreading ideas and action implicitly carries.

The State has acted how it is and this shouldn’t surprise us.

It proceeded how it has historically when it’s been directly attacked, when they have really felt the threat of seeing their lives at risk and when, further, it found no submission nor repentence.

“Words from the confinement, necessary letters” by Marcelo Villarroel

On December 16, 2009 I was expelled from Argentina after 21 months of confinement in different units of the province of Neuquén to be at the disposal of the Chilean state and it has been 14 years since then.

In 2014 I was sentenced to 14 years for two bank robberies. Strictly speaking, I am serving this sentence in its entirety, from beginning to end, without any benefit and it ends today December 16, 2023 and still the state keeps me behind bars.

According to the gendarmes, I must serve 12 more years of imprisonment to be able to apply for some intrapenitentiary benefit only in 2036. According to their retroactive modifications of the illegal Chilean law, in 2056 I will definitively expire my sentences, all of them from events that occurred more than 30 years ago.

Berlin : fire at the antenna of a technology park

Relay antenna arsoned in Berlin-Wuhlheide
From de.indymedia, August 7, 2023

Often, certain actions seek a media echo and are therefore planned accordingly. We don’t know why none of the media have reported on our act so far. It’s puzzling, and it would be interesting to know whether there is some kind of silencing imposed by the forces of order or politics (?) to prevent the dissemination of such opportunities for action (?). It’s doubtful that acts of sabotage attract no media interest, but we can only speculate in this regard.

Our real motivation for our project, however, is not media attention, but concrete attack and destruction. That’s why we placed three time-delay incendiary devices under the cables, the computer cabinet and the electrical distribution cabinet of the antenna. This happened on the night of August 3, 2023.

Spain: One Less Naturgy Car in Complicity with Monica and Francisco By Insolent Indomitables Provoking Anarchy

One Less Naturgy Car in Complicity with Monica and Francisco

13/7/23

The early morning of July 13, a group of insolent people stopped daily time for a few seconds to place an incendiary device in a car belonging to Naturgy in the neighborhood of Horta.

Naturgy unlimitedly exploits the resources of the earth and drives the machinery of the capitalist system creating rivers and rivers of blood; Blood of the people of the plundered villages, the workers – those who protest and those who do not – even those who pay them unbearable prices to amass their wealth. For every euro they earn: one car less! It only takes a few household materials and arming ourselves with our well-deserved thirst for revenge to go out one night to cause damage.

Cochabamba, Bolivia: Claim of arson attack against patrol car of the Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra la Violencia (Special Force to Fight against Violence)

In the early morning of September 12, at 2:40 a.m., we placed an incendiary device composed of four half-liter plastic bottles with gasoline, tied with adhesive tape, which were set on fire by means of a wick that we assembled with 5 matches and 3 incenses tied with rubber bands.

We placed this rudimentary device behind one of the front wheels to ensure that the main damage was in the engine area.

Although all of their cars are incendiary, the choice of a Special Anti-Violence Force van is not random. There is no exception, every police force is the enemy and we don’t buy their song and dance about fighting against gender violence. The patriarchy will fall when the last stone of this prison society falls. We abhor their gendered capitalism. We abhor its State spawn forced on unfathomable differences to satisfy the needs of post-colonial oligarchies. We do not demand anything from the institutions, we do not want any police in our neighborhoods and communities with the story of women’s security. You, murderous cops, are the phallus (now scorched) of patriarchy!

Direct Action Cells – Responsibility claim for a barrage of incendiary attacks in Athens and Thessaloniki
Revolution or Barbarism
In recent years our days have been filled with news of deaths, with numbers of dead, with the words of “experts” who command arrogantly and boastfully from the power they have been given. They are filled with unreasonable orders and outrageous government impositions. We do not intend to extensively analyze positions on the health crisis. The tragic shortages of medical personnel, equipment and infrastructure, the “stain” of 100 deaths a day, i.e. the dire consequences of decades of privatization of public health care. The provocative strengthening of the private sector, exemplified by the big pharmaceutical companies and health giants, whose profits have reached historic highs. The re-emergence of the ‘strong’ state model to restore capitalist equilibria. The strengthening of centralised powers and the emergence of a new caste of all-round technocrats, with the role of abdicating and covering up the responsibilities of the state apparatus and shifting the responsibility for the spread of the virus to the individual. These are just some of the points that shape the management of the pandemic by the capitalist states.
Throughout the pandemic, the key issues that have dominated the public debate have been around public health, mental health and the effects of incarceration, the social exclusion of increasing segments of the population, growing class inequalities, the wider capitalist division of available resources, the role of science and technology, civil rights and the diminished role of bourgeois democracy in emergency situations. Greece, Athens: Responsibility Claim for Arson Attacks by Direct Action Cells – Cell ‘Mauricio Morales’

The decay and ugliness of the present is not hidden behind theoretical embellishments. Instead, it relies on the transparency of habit and the power of acquiescence. There is not the slightest reason to face the war of the increasingly authoritarian bourgeois-democratic order against those who are left over or who rebel against its multidimensional existential cheapness in search of new life perspectives. They struggle anxiously for our annihilation or our political mutilation and this is revealed by their repeated repressive moves against movement activities, against our spaces, against militants.
Consciously or not, they understand that the unification of the institutions of oppression and the maintenance of the hegemony of capital implies the corresponding possible unification and strengthening of the revolutionary forces. They fear the prospect of an acute social war setting fire to the bowels of the capitalist world, as we are already seeing happening in various corners of the planet.

Chile: Hunger strike of prisoners transferred from the High Security Prison to Rancagua ends

During the last days of June, the hunger strike ended of most of the prisoners transferred from the High Security to Rancagua, in Module 1 (the High Security prisoners) and in Module 2 (Maximum Security prisoners).
The mobilization allowed for a few more hours of yard time, the regularization of an internal and the more or less stable entry of a minimum amount of food, necessary to cope with the decadent diet imposed by the concessionaires (companies that profit from prison food).
