On the night of May Day we chose to attack the new store in the Exarchia area, at 45 Themistokleous Street, called OBA. We broke its storefront and left the political message of our action with stickers saying that since the opening of this store the homeless person who lived in front of its storefront was displaced.
This action was our response to the displacement of the homeless person who had resided for years in the arcades in front of that store and who, after its opening, was forced to seek shelter in another corner of the neighborhood.
How the surplus is displaced to make way for urban and middle class shoppers is also demonstrated by the fact that on the opposite side of the store we attacked there was a squat, which the State evicted a few years ago, sealing the building to prevent its reoccupation.

UK: Communication with anarchist comrade Toby Shone cut off by scum prison authorities G4S
Imprisoned Anarchist Toby Shone who is being held at the private G4S prison HMP/YOI Parc in Bridgend, South Wales, is now unable to communicate by phone with his solidarity group and closest loved ones after the Security Team at Parc, headed by Daniel Hayman, removed these contacts from his permitted phone pin numbers list on Friday 24th June 2022 at 6pm. This together with interference with his post and emails is an attempt to hold him incommunicado in the jail.
He was formally notified of this decision on Saturday 25th June with the following reasons given: giving interviews over the phone, giving detailed information about staff at the prison which has then been published online, and hate speech against some prison staff.
Neither Toby nor his comrades are surprised by this action and Toby remains strong and defiant. The weak and pitiful lackeys that work in the prison camps of capital, locking other human beings up in exchange for a little piece of silver and a small dimension of power over others, are no match at all for the revolutionary spirit and they know it. Neither Toby nor any of us will ever shut up.

It was clear in our minds to give the state a clear message about how things will be from now on if the struggle of the anarchist G. Michailidis is not vindicated.
The comrade has been incarcerated since 2013 in the Greek prisons and already since 29/12/2021 he fulfils all the formal conditions for his conditional release. However, the judges of the Amfissa Magistrate’s Court rejected his application. On June 28, the Lamia Court of Appeal secured for the unrepentant murderer Korkoneas the mitigating circumstance which opens the way for his release for the second time. No thinking person was surprised by this decision, which was the logical continuation of the favourable criminal treatment of the cop-killers by the civil justice system.
A look back at the recent post-communist history of incidents of police brutality confirms our claim. Dozens of deaths from police guns and batons were covered up under tons of media mud, Administrative Inquiries that ended up in drawers, Disciplinary Prosecutions that were withdrawn, court decisions that put them on easy street or exonerated them, political decisions that rewarded their murderous services to the Greek state directly or indirectly.
It must be made clear that we are not faced with the exception but with the absolute rule where civil justice plays its role. The institutional defence of the state monopoly on violence.
The political and historical responsibility of those whose attitude contributed to the depoliticisation of the case is enormous, those who made sure that the events were presented in a way that was detached from the historical and social environment in which they took place, those who with political expediency established in the courtroom of Lamia a climate of confrontation of legal arguments as if it were a simple criminal and not a political case, where criminal laws and legal interpretations will allow developments cut off from the social factor. In the era of the normality of speciesism, of the normality of the exploitation of animals (human or non-human), of the normality of confinement and prisons, of the normality of the culture of deprivation of freedom and, essentially, of life itself, of the normality of poverty, misery, sadness and depression, one does not fight for the obvious but for its reconceptualization.
Confinement, surveillance, lack of self-determination, deprivation of dignity… Prison. Giannis knows that to win the self-evident he must risk everything he has.
To win life he must risk the condition of survival.

YOUSSEF WILL NOT DIE IN INDIFFERENCE.
This letter from prisoners of the Caen prison was sent to our comrades from the anti-prison journal and radio show L’envolée last October. In it, they explain how Youssef, an undocumented immigrant imprisoned there, died within these walls. Knowing no connections, no family, they didn’t know who to call, but refused to let this death go unnoticed.
Prison kills, and this letter from his fellow prisoners reminds us of this: although the death penalty has been legally abolished, detention creates conditions of slow death for many prisoners. Assaults, suicides, accidents and illness are even more common there than outside, subject to the reign of the absurd and the arbitrary; prison crushes as it serves as a deterrent, maintaining the existing order to keep this world founded on exploitation and domination. These are even its essential functions.
This letter was sent to local newspapers, which unsurprisingly did not report it. Far from the eyes of the media, it is only thanks to the prisoners and their relatives that the memory of these prisoners is maintained and that the full responsibility of the State, the justice system and the prison administration in this invisible killing is denounced.
A few posters publishing this legal murder seem to have spread to the walls of the city of Caen and the surroundings of the prison in recent weeks. The least to be done in the face of the deafening silence •

Our fellow prisoner Youssef hanged himself in his cell on Tuesday 11 October. He was 28 years old. This is the third suicide since April. We should rather call it death by imprisonment, but what’s new since the abolition of the death penalty?

Exarcheia, Athens, Greece: 25 June – Day of national and international support for the Exarcheia – Demonstration in Exarcheia Square videos:
Exarchia, Saturday night, around 20:30, 25 June 2022. People are starting to gather in Exarchia Square for the march against gentrification, evictions, political denaturalization and state repression in Exarchia. In front of the astonished eyes of the assembled people 5-6 motorbikes of the police group DRASI are defiantly passing by Exarchia Square. Apart from voices denouncing this provocative move by the police and warning of the response they will get the next time they provoke, there is no aggressive move against the police.
What are the police officers going and doing on their part? They leave and come back with more reinforcements to provoke incidents, about 15-20 motorcycles. The result of this is what is recorded in the video.
During their panicked retreat and after once again suffocating the area with asphyxiating gas, they even left behind radios, according to witnesses.
The march through Exarchia moved dynamically with the participation of hundreds.

My name is Ivan, I am an anarchist.
I was arrested by the SDAT1 on Saturday, June 11, around 3:30 am, not far from my home, while I was returning home.
I am charged with six vehicle fires that took place in Paris and Montreuil between January and June, often claimed in solidarity with anarchist prisoners (in the last one, an embassy car was set on fire the night I was arrested, in the 17th district).
For months, the cops set up surveillance tails, wiretaps, installed a camera in the entrance of my building, intercepted my mail (including letters from imprisoned comrades) and watched my bank account.
Another person (we only know each other by sight, but I hold him in high esteem) has been followed, listened to, etc., but not implicated. Also, but not implicated. Courage, my old friend!

Medical opinion for the hunger striker Giannis Michailidis
On 24th of June 2022, I examined as his personal physician the detained hunger striker Mr. Michailidis in Lamia Hospital, who is hospitalized in the pathology clinic under surveillance.
From the clinical examination, as well as from the examination of his laboratory and paraclinical tests, the following results emerged: The hunger striker Mr. Michailidis, who is already on his 34th day of strike, has lost more than 21% of his body weight and has started to present serious health problems.
Specifically, I must point out that vital organs such as the liver, heart and spleen have already started to malfunction. Hunger striker Giannis Michailidis is already suffering from anaemia, thrombocytopenia, hypercholesterolemia and hypoalbuminemia.
He suffers from tachycardia and haemodynamic instability, severe gastrointestinal disorders and blood clotting disorders.
My medical assessment is that, in a very short period of time, he may develop severe multi-organ failure (circulatory, gastrointestinal, respiratory) as well as severe and irreversible failure of vital organs (liver failure, kidney failure, heart failure, brain haemorrhage), which may lead to “multi-organ failure”, a life-threatening condition for the hunger striker, or to the creation of permanent damage that will result in significant permanent disabilities.
