Ampelokipoi Case – 3rd Hearing – 04/03/2026 (detailed report)

The day began with the examination of the remaining witness for the prosecution. The witness is the owner of apartment C7. In response to questions from the presiding chamber, he estimated the total damage to his apartment at between 5,000 and 10,000 euros. He also stated that the issue of structural stability may have been raised by TERNA, without them having been provided with a copy of any technical report. The witness does not know who commissioned the TEE report or who handled the procedures for issuing the building permit. The witness confirmed that there are open shops on the ground floor of the apartment building and expressed the opinion that, theoretically, there is a structural stability issue in the event of an earthquake.

He also confirmed that the crew working on the restoration of the apartment building is small. Continue reading Athens: Brief updates of the first day and the 2 day and detailed report of Ampelokipi Case – 3rd Hearing – April 3, of the start of the “Ampelokipi case” trial. (Greece)

Thessaloniki : Attack responsibility upheaval by Anarchists (Greece)

In the early hours of Monday, February 9, we smashed the window of the Protergia store at 183 Gr. Lambraki Street. The reason we chose this particular target is obvious. Electricity bills are getting higher every month, so that energy barons (such as Mytilineos) can get rich off our backs, exploiting our needs. The price of energy has become an economic game on the stock market over who will make the most, while the poor live in destitution, battered by the rot of this system.

The successive crises (real or fictitious) of the state and capital are taking their toll on the social and class base. It is no coincidence that during “critical” periods, as the state labels them, companies like Protergia increase their turnover and profits. The high cost of supermarket prices, rent, and electricity makes daily life a struggle for survival.

Hanging a solidarity papers banners for Community of Squatted Prosfygika and the fallen comrades in Rome. (Athens,Greece)

On 19/3 in Rome, during a preparatory action, the anarchists Sara Ardizone and Alessandro Mercoliano lost their lives. As a minimal sign of honor and memory to the comrades, the first banner was hung with reference to them. Also, as a sign of solidarity with the struggle of the Community of Squatted Prosfygika and the hunger strike of Aristotle Chantzis, the second banner was hung with relevant content. (Greece) If We Are Afraid Today, We Will Be Afraid Tomorrow and Forever – Dimitra Zarafeta

If We Are Afraid Today, We Will Be Afraid Tomorrow and Forever

It took 512 days for the authorities to finally decide that it was time to try our case, the Ampelokipi case. Just one breath before the end of the 18-month period. Not because the investigative process was truly endless, nor because new evidence was constantly emerging in the meantime. From the very first moment, the facts were more or less the same.

The choice, however, to set the trial at the last minute was neither accidental nor procedural. It was a purely political choice, a conscious method so that the process would run on a fast track and the desired decision would be produced, with the same speed. Nevertheless, in this last text of mine before the trial, I will not dwell in detail on the practices and methods that the judicial authorities employ against us. These are already known to anyone who wants to see them.

Claim of responsibility for incendiary attacks on cops’ houses by Anarchist Cell ‘Lambros Fountas’ (Athens, Greece)

We claim responsibility for the incendiary attacks on the homes of the MAT unit (riot police) at 12 Athanaton Street in Sepolia, on February 9, where Andreas Poligenis resides, and at 4-6 Teas Street in Kaisariani on February 24, as well as at the home of a cop from the OPKE unit [Crime Prevention and Suppression Unit] at 18 Deligianni Street in Exarcheia on March 7. We dedicate these actions to the memory of our anarchist comrade and member of Revolutionary Struggle, Lambros Fountas, who fell fighting in an armed clash in Dafni on March 10, 2010. Lambros was a exemplary fighter who advanced the multifaceted struggle with social revolution as its goal. He participated in every aspect of anarchist action, from assemblies, marches, and clashes with the forces of repression to revolutionary armed struggle.

The reasons why we carried out the above attacks are self-evident: we are striking back at those who trample on our dreams. To those who rape people at police stations, to those who mercilessly beat up migrants, to those who protect crooks like the “illustrious” Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, who has dismantled the National Health System, to those who crush strikes and marches, such as the one on 10/31 in honor of the anarchist, armed guerrilla Kyriakos Xymiteris. There must be no truce with those who suppress our lives.

Asphalt plant of VINCI/EUROVIA on Fire – for a black spring, for the prisoners in the Ampelokipoi case

A circular economy of death and destruction

Faced with climate crisis, extractivist devastation, and imperialist aggression, a burning asphalt mixing plant owned by one of the world’s largest construction and infrastructure companies actually speaks for itself. Nevertheless, we would like to say a few words about our motives and the company that has been attacked. Because VINCI/EUROVIA is much more than just a producer of asphalt and concrete. This company embodies pretty much everything we despise and that makes this world a place full of oppression, suffering, and misery: highways, airports, dams, (deportation-) prisons, nuclear facilities, military equipment, oil and gas pipelines, mining, and much more…

Everyone who wants to know already knows – the biosphere is suffocating under the gray burden of civilization, and in the near future, many regions of the planet will be uninhabitable as a result of our imperial ways of life and economic practices. Battles over living areas and resources on an unseen scale seem unavoidable, and the current escalation of military conflicts and the relentless war against migrants on the streets of US cities or at the EU’s external borders are already grim signs of what this will look like. Since long we running out of time. The late capitalist world system is in the midst of profound upheaval, and war is becoming the new normal, while the remaining natural world serves only as a source of raw materials to be plundered before others do. FIRE TO PRISONS, STATES AND PALACES – DOWN WITH PATRIARCHY (Athens, Greece)

FIRE TO PRISONS, STATES AND PALACES – DOWN WITH PATRIARCHY

For the past year and a half, our comrades Marianna Manoura and Dimitra Zarafeta have been imprisoned behind the bars of Korydallos, accused of participation in a terrorist organization, awaiting their trial. On October 31, 2024, an explosion in an apartment cost the life of our friend and comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris and seriously injured Marianna. This marked the beginning of the “Ampelokipoi case” and the subsequent witch hunt against anarchists. Despite being severely injured, Marianna was arrested and taken to prison just one day after her surgery, while Dimitra turned herself in to the Greek authorities a few days after the incident (comrades Dimitris, Nikos Romanos, and A.K. were also arrested). The imprisonment of our comrades is the result of yet another poorly constructed scenario by the anti-terrorism police, aimed at targeting anarchist action and thought, repressing solidarity, criminalizing comradely relationships, and spreading a climate of fear and repress anyone who chooses to struggle.

Beyond anarchist action, the reasons that lead women, femininities, trans and non-binary people to prison are multiple, as are the oppressions they face: class, racism, patriarchy, exploitation, and more. In women’s prisons, gendered and class oppression takes extreme forms. Continue reading FIRE TO PRISONS, STATES AND PALACES – DOWN WITH PATRIARCHY (Athens, Greece)

Greece: Update from the Court of Appeals of Comrades G. Karatsolis and S. Toutziarakis from Solidarity Assemblies for the imprisoned comrades G. Karatsolis and S. Toutziarakis (Athens, Patras)

Today, 25/02/2026, at the appeal court for comrades GIannis Karatsolis and Sofoklis Toutziarakis, a solidarity gathering was held by approximately 60 comrades. Our presence was dynamic, with banners, flyers and slogans and remained steadfast despite the constant provocations of the cops, both inside the courts and during the transfer of the comrades.

(Athens,Greece) Intervention at the offices of “Efimerida ton Syntakton” (EFSYN)

This text was published in the course of an intervention at EFSYN in Athens, Greece and translated by the Berlin Assembly in memory of Kyriakos Xymitiris and in solidarity with the persecuted in the Ambelokipi-case.

——

We are intervening at EFSYN’ in order to publicize the following texts. This intervention follows our presence and the distribution of these texts in the area of Ampelokipi and on Arkadias Street in order to show our solidarity with the residents of the apartment building.

At the same time, we went to the spot where our comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris lost his life.

TEXT FOR THE APARTMENT BUILDING ON ARKADIAS STREET

On 31/10/24, my comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris and I were in the apartment at 4-8 Arkadias Street. During the processing of explosive materials, an explosion occurred that took the life of my 36-year-old comrade, caused my own very serious injury, and resulted in damage to the apartment building. Since then, I have been detained in Korydallos women’s prison under horrendous conditions, having to confront the loss of the person closest to me, my own injury, and very serious accusations. Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for coordinated attack in Ano Patissia

The daily grind of medieval working conditions, class humiliation and extermination of the proletariat, employer impunity and terrorism, austerity measures that strangle the social base, torture in the hellhole police stations, the hundreds of murders at the borders of Fortress Europe, the destitution in detention centers, the permanent panoptic surveillance and mapping of every movement, the upgrading of repression and the legal arsenal of the state, demands the intensification of social resistance, the breaking of the omnipotence of the state through the spread of polymorphous aggressive actions of social violence directed against this insatiable system that annihilates human life and treats us as expendable, as numbers.

Even more so when this daily routine is stained with the blood of people from our class, with state-capitalist murders committed in the name of profit and greed, as was recently the case with the mass murder of workers at the “Violanta” in Trikala, where five female workers were buried under tons of rubble after an explosion caused by a propane leak, as well as the murder of 15 migrants by port police off the coast of Chios during a violent push-back.

Thessaloniki , Greece: We take responsibility for the following arsons by anarchists.

We take responsibility for the 6 following arsons:

• The arson at the Alpha Bank ATM in the early hours of December 31st on Artakis Street
• The arson at an Alpha Bank ATM in the early hours of January 7 on Siniosoglou Street
• The ATM arson in the early hours of January 13 on Antigonidon Street

In a world where everything is programmed to work like clockwork for the benefit of the system, there will always be pockets of rebellion. As anarchists in action, we do not want to limit ourselves to clashes with cops on marches (which we obviously consider necessary) but choose to open new dialectics on the street. We refuse to wait for social conditions to mature in order to attack and we propose direct action as a perspective for attacking in the here and now. Slogans, paint in butcher shops for Tsiknopempti (Charred Thursday or Smoky Thursday,. part of the traditional celebrations of Apókries (Greek Carnival) season) by alf

Every Ash Wednesday, Christian patriots and “alternative” petty bourgeois participate in the mass murder and consumption of animals. Animals that were tortured and killed for a ritualistic, religious festival.

As a minimal response, we painted butcher shops in the areas of Gyzi, Kypseli and Agios Panteleimonas.

Patras, Greece: Paint thrown on an ATM in the city of Patras

In the everyday life of capitalist barbarity we look for ways to take a breath of freedom.

Banks play an important role in the capitalist economy and contribute to the impoverishment of the proletariat and the incredible violence called poverty that the social majority suffer constantly.

As a minimal response, on 18/1 in Patras paint was thrown on an ATM, just so those who govern us can see that we haven’t surrendered yet.
