At midnight on Friday, May 22, we set up burning barricades with bins in the main streets of Exarcheia at 8 different points, in Benaki and Dervenia, Kallidromiou, Spyrou Trikoupi, Economou, Zoodochou Pigi, Botasis and Charilaou Trikoupi.
From the smallest spark that lights up the night, at every roadblock you set up – from Greece to Chile – we honour our fallen comrades. The aim of this action is to disrupt the consumer fiesta of Exarcheia, creating a disturbance on the main streets of the neighbourhood even for a moment, disrupting imposed normality. At the same time, we express our solidarity with the occupied Refugee community (Prosfigika) and the hunger strike of Aristotelis Chantzis from 5/2 and Suzon Doppagne 1/5.
