Letter from Prison by Comrade Dena a.k.a Apip a.k.a Scoobydoomz (INDONESIA)

Detention Center, West Java Police Headquarter. January 13, 2026.

Greetings, comrades! I hope this message finds you well. As I write, I’ve just been informed that my case has been submitted to the prosecutor’s office. The police investigator told me I have only a few more days left in this cell. I hope to be transferred to Kebon Waru Prison by the end of this month, where I can reunite with other comrades, even if it’s under the condition of being “imprisoned.”

To those of you outside, trust in the fire burning in your chest–it won’t easily fade if you believe in it. This struggle is fated for anyone who stands by it. We didn’t start this war; we’re simply fighting back! We resist the tyranny of the powerful, the violence of the authorities, the massive land evictions, the monopoly on natural resources, the criminalization of those who speak out, those who defend their rights, indigenous communities, and our fellow comrades. We’re only fighting back against all of that!

Indonesian Update 11.29.25 , and letter from some imprisoned comrades from the ‘Chaos Star’ case

11.29.25

Conditions inside police detention:

– From the very beginning, this case hasn’t been handled only by regular police and the Cyber Crime unit, but also by Densus 88 (the special anti-terrorism/anti-makar squad). Makar is Indonesian term for “inciting an action or planning to overthrow the government”).

– Most of the arrested anarchists have already started going through trials and have been moved to Kebon Waru prison.

Eat (Reyhard Rumbayan) still has zero info about when his trial will happen. He’s the only one who’s been interrogated by Densus 88 — they see him as the “mastermind” behind everything related to the anarchist stuff.

– There are basically three types of charges being thrown at the detainees: (1) the brains behind the scenes, (2) the instigators, (3) the ones who got instigated. Of course, that’s because the state can’t wrap its head around the idea that spontaneous actions can happen without any leader — that concept just doesn’t exist in state logic. Updates, repression and solidarity actions for the continuing struggle of anarchist comrades for the Indonesian Insurrection August 2025

14/9/25 – Indonesia repression news

In short nationally there’s 5444 people reported arrested from the uprising. 583 are on further investigations. That is the recent report from the legal aid institution [www.lbhbandung.or.id]. On 3rd September the same leftist legal organisation released info that 3337 people had been arrested, so we can see that the repression is building momentum. Hundreds of anarchists are reported arrested.
