Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for the arson attack on a company vehicle of UNISON Facilities Management in Exarcheia

Regenaration, development, gentrification. Concepts that have become embedded as spikes in the discourse and action of the antagonist movement, must be seen as another aspect of the attack of the ruling classes against the oppressed class. Capital aims at subordinating the whole of life to its exploitation and reproduction, and therefore organizes more and more aspects of human activity in this logic.
The process of enclosing community/public spaces for the purpose of capital’s reproduction is a process as old as capitalism. In recent decades we have experienced the long deconstruction of social democratic management, with the mediation of the state receding, giving more room for the defensive subordination of activities of social life to capital. In this sense, a concerted attack has been launched in recent years on public spaces, squares, parks in the metropolises, transferring their management from the state to private individuals, with the aim of creating new fields of profitability for capital.
This is exactly the condition of the sale of a series of public green spaces by the Municipality of Athens to the company UNISON Facilities Services, such as the hills (Strefi, Filopappou, Lycabettus, Turkovounia), squares (Protomaya, Victoria, Kypseli, Attiki, Ameriki, Drakopoulos, Agios Panteleimon), parks (Platonos Academia, Kyrpo, Patision, Goudi) and pedestrian streets (Agia Zoni, Fokionos Negri). UNISON (formerly ISS), belongs to a category of a new type of company that, through contractor privatisations, is simultaneously financed by state-taxed, collectively produced surplus value, and at the same time intensifies the exploitation of its workers through miserable wages, flexible working hours and violation of workers’ rights.

Direct Action Cells – Responsibility claim for a barrage of incendiary attacks in Athens and Thessaloniki
Revolution or Barbarism
In recent years our days have been filled with news of deaths, with numbers of dead, with the words of “experts” who command arrogantly and boastfully from the power they have been given. They are filled with unreasonable orders and outrageous government impositions. We do not intend to extensively analyze positions on the health crisis. The tragic shortages of medical personnel, equipment and infrastructure, the “stain” of 100 deaths a day, i.e. the dire consequences of decades of privatization of public health care. The provocative strengthening of the private sector, exemplified by the big pharmaceutical companies and health giants, whose profits have reached historic highs. The re-emergence of the ‘strong’ state model to restore capitalist equilibria. The strengthening of centralised powers and the emergence of a new caste of all-round technocrats, with the role of abdicating and covering up the responsibilities of the state apparatus and shifting the responsibility for the spread of the virus to the individual. These are just some of the points that shape the management of the pandemic by the capitalist states.
Throughout the pandemic, the key issues that have dominated the public debate have been around public health, mental health and the effects of incarceration, the social exclusion of increasing segments of the population, growing class inequalities, the wider capitalist division of available resources, the role of science and technology, civil rights and the diminished role of bourgeois democracy in emergency situations. Thessaloniki, Greece: Attacks in solidarity with the comrades of 8/2/22

On 8/2 in the early morning hours, comrade Thanos Xatziagkelou and comrade Georgia Voulgari were arrested on the occasion of an arson attack at the Foundation for National and Religious Reflection and in the afternoon of the same day, comrade Panos Kalaitzis was arrested with a unique connection between his friendly and comradely relations with the former. In the following days the charges were upgraded to formation and membership of the Anarchist Action Organization and on Friday 11/2 the prosecutor ordered their pre-trial detention.
As a reflexive and minimal response we proceeded with coordinated attacks with hammers on :
1 atm in Agia Sofia Street in the Centre
2 atm on Agios Dimitrios Street in the Centre
1 atm in Triandria
1 atm at the War Museum
1 bank in Neapoli
1 supermarket and 1 atm in Neapoli
For us it is known that the state suppresses the internal enemy when it returns a share of the violence of power and criminalizes friendly and comrade connections.

Greece, Athens: Responsibility Claim for Arson Attacks by Direct Action Cells – Cell ‘Mauricio Morales’

The decay and ugliness of the present is not hidden behind theoretical embellishments. Instead, it relies on the transparency of habit and the power of acquiescence. There is not the slightest reason to face the war of the increasingly authoritarian bourgeois-democratic order against those who are left over or who rebel against its multidimensional existential cheapness in search of new life perspectives. They struggle anxiously for our annihilation or our political mutilation and this is revealed by their repeated repressive moves against movement activities, against our spaces, against militants.
Consciously or not, they understand that the unification of the institutions of oppression and the maintenance of the hegemony of capital implies the corresponding possible unification and strengthening of the revolutionary forces. They fear the prospect of an acute social war setting fire to the bowels of the capitalist world, as we are already seeing happening in various corners of the planet.

Komotini, Greece: Taking Responsibility by Arsonist Faction Commando Mauricio Morales

On 27/2 at dawn, we set fire to 2 ATMs (one of Piraeus Bank and one of the National Bank) in the city centre resulting in their complete destruction. An act of solidarity to the political prisoner Dimitris Koufontinas who faces the maniacal vengeance of state mechanisms and Bakogiannis family who has taken power in the last two years.
We are on the verge of having the first dead hunger striker in Europe after the state murder of Bobby Sands and 10 other members of the IRA in the English prisons 40 years ago with Margaret Thatcher in charge.Dimitris Koufontinas is an unrepentant revolutionary continuing with coherence his active struggle all the years he has been captive in the cells of “Democracy”. As such, he could only be embraced by the people of the movement.
The solidarity activities that took place and continue to take place for him, are a small taste of what awaits you if something happens to him.If you act with vengeance we will also do so for our part.
Hopefully with our incendiary attack we can give him a little warmth and strength to continue his struggle.
YOU PLAY WITH OUR LIVES WE PLAY WITH FIRE AND WILL BURN YOU
Arsonist Faction Commando Mauricio Morales
