Metz, France – Boris hospitalised: call for action and solidarity
via: lille.indymedia Translated by Act for fredom now!
25 August 2021
Our friend and comrade Boris has been in an induced coma in the burns unit of the Grand Est hospital in Metz since the morning of Saturday 7 August 2021 following a fire in his cell. His condition is life-threatening, his respiratory tract being highly damaged by smoke and ash. A first skin graft operation will be carried out as soon as his state of health allows it.
Right away, a journalist from Lorraine Actu, Antony Speciale, rushed to take up the version of the facts provided by Fadila Doukhi, regional delegate of the Force Ouvrière prison union.
Priority was given to the vultures of the media of course, the prison did not even bother to inform the family until late in the day, long after publication in the news columns. Not surprisingly, the guards were congratulated for their responsiveness to this event, which had been directly produced by a year’s imprisonment.

Montreuil,France : Smoke signals of solidarity
via: attaque
Last night, we wanted to send a message of solidarity to Boris, an anarchist comrade who is in coma because of a fire in his cell in the Nancy-Maxèville prison.
In Montreuil gentrification is advancing by leaps and bounds with new buildings for a more affluent population attracted by the extension of the metro. We’re no admirers of the poor slums and traffic-ridden neighbourhoods, a simple form of capitalism, albeit illegal. But the labyrinth of alleys between the small self-built houses has its charm and allows other relationships between the people who live there, less dictated by money. A different relationship to the State too. The winding alleys make video surveillance less effective, which is also advancing in Montreuil (as everywhere in Paname).

Paris, France: Eiffage on fire
via: attaque
On the night of 21-22 August we set fire to an Eiffage van in Paris (rue des Maraîchers)
Prison destroys lives, inside and also after release. It also looms as a threat against the choices of those outside. A threat to those who rebel against this order of things. It is the last bastion of this world against those who fight it, by necessity or choice.
Saint-Sauvant (Vienne): direct action against industrial agriculture
Deux-Sèvres/Vienne: the burning of a construction machine reignites tension on the reservoirs
Centre Presse, 13 August 2021
via: sansnom
On the night of Wednesday 11 to Thursday 12 August 2021, a 23-ton excavator was set on fire on an archaeological excavation site linked to the reservoir project in Saint-Sauvant, a commune in the Vienne department located about four kilometres from the commune of Avon, in the Deux-Sèvres. The excavator belonged to the 2 Sévrienne Service company, located in Saint-Gelais.
The gendarmerie has opened an investigation for criminal damage. The Volvo machine was rented by the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP). The site had started on Monday 9 August 2021. The archaeologists were intervening before the construction of a water storage facility for agricultural irrigation: Saint-Sauvant is part of the project of 16 “reservoirs” to be built along the basin of the Sèvre Niortaise, a project that has been the subject of controversy since 2017.

Protests and repressions in Belarus from anarchist perspective – online presentation

27 august 2021 19:00 (Minsk time)
News from Belarus hardly make headlines of the english speaking media and if something comes it is mostly about some new crazy move of dictator Lukashenko. The protest for now is not happening anymore, but the struggle continues. Massive network of solidarity is supporting thousands of repressed among them dozens of anarchists and antifascists. Some spontanious decentrilized protests are happening on regular basis.

Italy – Operation Scintilla: a letter
https://roundrobin.infoTranslated by act for freedom now!
Letter
In February 2019 I signed the declaration that I submitted at a review trial for operation Scintilla. My responsibility for writing the text is entirely my own. The piece in question presents numerous problems, the most serious certainly that linked to the refusal of the alleged indiscriminate nature of certain practices which unquestionably belong to the history of the anarchist movement. The phrase in question is: “the idea or the will to harm ‘an unspecified number of people’ such as could be office secretaries, employees or passers-by, does not belong to us in any way”.
At the time of elaboration of the text I firmly believed that I was capable of expressing myself, that I was able to take a stand about my life, accept or refuse the accusations and profiles constructed upon me by the prosecutor. I expressed what I thought sincerely, as if I could do that without any problem. As an anarchist individuality I don’t belong to any group or court category, I have my own way of thinking and, reasoning superficially, I said to myself: “why can’t I express it?”.
FUCK THE ELECTIONS!
via:scheissaufdiewahlen.blackblogs.org/
The federal elections are coming up. And, as always, there is a lot of hustle and bustle in the election campaign: one party after another tries to attract the attention of the voters with meaningless election slogans and promises us all the skies of heaven.
Some try to pander to the supporters of Nazi parties; they adopt racist prejudices, demand increased and faster deportations to war zones like Syria or Afghanistan or deterrence at Europe’s external borders under the guise of “security”. Others come up with supposedly social election programmes including the promise of affordable housing, more climate and environmental protection or higher incomes for those receiving social benefits. Still others try a mixture of both.

Greece: A statement from the Anarchist Federation in Greece on the ongoing wildfires and the disastrous management of the Greek State.
We’re on the cusp of a major environmental and social disaster. Whole regions of Greece are practically disappearing. Tens of thousands of people are losing their livelihoods, losing all perspectives in their own country and are objectively becoming internal refugees. From the fires in Ilia in 2007, the fires in Mati in 2018 to today’s fires, we have the same pattern of destruction, the same data, the same perpetrators, the same criticism.
It’s all said. Everything is known.
But we can’t ignore the fact that the situation right now is on edge. We don’t know what the next day will be like, and that’s literal. We don’t know what will happen tomorrow, in a fortnight, in two months. The disaster we are experiencing right now may be the prelude to what will happen tomorrow or within a month. We can see much worse things, and what’s at stake is the very nature and quality of our lives before they’re even in the hands of patterns and state. We say this having taken into account a number of factors.
Argentina: Mapuche Communities Block Roads Against Fracking and in Defense of Life and Water
Early in the morning of August 11th, the Mapuche communities Campo Maripe, Wirkaleo, Kaxipayiñ, Fvtaxayen and Newen Kvra decided to completely block the accesses to their territories in the Fortín de Piedra, Loma La Lata, Tratayen and Puesto Hernández oilfields “in defense of life and water”. The measure is because they are “fed up with waiting for answers presented in every way to stop an environmental disaster that affects life, territories, water, clean air and future”, their sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters.
There is police presence at the roadblocks. Simultaneously, the confederation carried out a protest at the Neuquén headquarters of YPF. There, Jorge Nahuel, from the Mapuche Confederation of Neuquén, in reference to fracking and hydrocarbon activity, denounced: “There are seismic movements, oil waste that accumulates by tons without being treated, contaminating the air and everything around it, and lately the water crisis as well, caused by an industry that consumes millions of liters of water for each of the drillings. There are 1,100 wells in Vaca Muerta and each one of them consumes between 10 and 30 million liters of water per well, so imagine the mistreatment that the whole ecosystem is receiving”.
Italy- Ethics wanted – or – a fairy tale at times anarchist
Almost two and a half years have passed since, after only 19 days’ prison – I’m telling you – 19 days, you decided to leave a declaration in a review trial, it was 26/2/19.
When I got to know of your decision at the time, sorrow and anger resurfaced as they did when the texts entitled “dotting i’s” and“I burabacio” made their appearance.
I ask myself and ask you: you declare you are anarchists and revolutionaries, you practice conflictuality in the neighbourhoods in daily life, you live in or frequent squatted places, you organize or take part in gatherings outside prisons, detention centres for migrants, benefits; but what do you talk about on those occasions?!

people behind bars. You may not know these people, you may not speak their language, and you will most likely never meet them. But by your actions, you show that they are welcome in this world. They are more welcome than prison guards and judges, more welcome than presidents and kings. So let your solidarity flow through the walls of the prisons and fight until all are free!
