My name is R, British citizen, militant in Calais in solidarity with exiled people and involved in the opening of squats last February. I am currently under house arrest in a CAES 45 minutes drive from my home,being subject to an OQTF [obligation to leave French territory], an IRTF [prohibition to return to French territory, a re-entry ban] of one year and a withdrawal of my residence permit. I have been “free” since Monday after spending 3 nights in the CRA [administrative detention centre] of Lesquin and after having been detained by the PAF [Police Aux Frontières] in Calais for 15 hours (they transferred my to Lille to separate me from my comrades).

The authorities targeted me because I had been a militant for two years for the rights of exiled people in Calais. They targeted me because we opened a place where our administrative situations do not matter, a place belonging to exiled people and spared from violence of the State and because we began to create bonds of solidarity between all those who struggle for the rights of the exiled people in France and elsewhere. The State wants people to be isolated, tired, homeless, without any legal resources; they do not want people with papers to support them. So they withdraw my residence permit, they lock me up in CRA and expel me to England. They haven’t understood that it won’t change anything except to give energy, motivation, and rage to the militants in Calais and elsewhere because, with these repressive acts, we are told “your activities threaten the smooth running of our violent policies”.

THE ITALIAN STATE SENTENCED JUAN TO 28 YEARS IN PRISON.

On July 9th, our comrade Juan was sentenced to 28 years in prison, with another three years of supervised release, on charges of an explosive attack with terrorist intent on a Lega Nord headquarters, in Treviso (Italy).

A few days earlier, the Court had reclassified an attack on a Carabinieri barracks in Fossano (Italy) as a ‚political massacre‘ (a crime punishable by life imprisonment) for which anarchist comrades Anna and Alfredo had been convicted on appeal. In the meantime, Alfredo was transferred to 41 bis, in Sassari, Sardinia (Italy): a prison regime of total isolation, a form of torture aimed at bending the prisoner to abjuration, repentance, dissociation, and the renunciation of his own identity and revolutionary path.
The disproportionate sentences (essentially for life) and the application of 41 bis constitute an unprecedented attack on the anarchist movement.

They represent the attempt of the Italian state to end the game with an area that has remained subversive and revolutionary, which decades of investigations and arrests have failed to break.

Ihar Alinevich , an anarcho-partisan sentenced to 20 years for participating in the Belarusian uprising, went on hunger strike. Members of the Anarchist Black Cross collected the latest information about Igor from the Facebook of his mother Valentina Alinevich and from his close friends. Here’s what we were able to find out.

On October 5, Ihar’s lawyer tried to get to him, but did not. He will try to get to him next week. According to unconfirmed reports, Ihar is still in the penal cell, where he was visited by the prosecutor. It is very difficult to get any information about Ihar. With the progressive realization of the CIGÉO atomic waste disposal center project, the militarization of the area around Bure is becoming more and more concrete. In the direct vicinity of the ANDRA dump, a huge Gendarmerie barracks is being built, with the objective of controlling massive interventions in the future. (The reactivation of the Montiers-sur-Saulx barracks failed in 2018, after the building was completely destroyed by fire).
