On Wednesday, November 30, a rally was held at the Italian embassy in Chile in solidarity with comrades Alfredo Cospito and Anna Beniamino, on hunger strike since October 20 and November 7, respectively.
During the rally, banners were displayed, the embassy walls were graffitied, leaflets were thrown and words of solidarity were read. The rally ended with the arrest of a comrade who was later released.

With a small (but not unimportant) gesture of complicity we show our solidarity with comrade Alfredo Cospito, kidnapped in the maximum security prison of Bancali. Demonstrating his firm conviction and fighting against this extreme measure of annihilation, he has turned his body into another trench of combat, maintaining a hunger strike since October 20 to break from the 41 Bis regime, which he has been in since May 5.
Unsurprisingly, the state and capital will try to break the fierceness and indomitable spirit of any subversive comrade, but solidarity is our greatest weapon, let’s wield it. Let’s continue to generate actions to get Alfredo out of isolation and strengthen the anti-prison struggle.

Commemoration on 15th Anniversary of Matías Catrileo’s Murder

On Tuesday, January 3rd, the 15th anniversary of the murder of weichafe Matías Catrileo was commemorated. Matías was killed in 2008 by carabinero Walter Ramírez while armed confrontations were taking place during a territorial reclamation on the ex-Santa Margarita ranch (property of the Luchsinger families).

Not only does the Strabag company build prisons. Ever since the struggle for the Dannenröder foresti² they were also often attacked for their active role in the destruction of the natural world. The other night we decided to strike an ATM of the BPER [Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna] and an Amazon collection point with hammers.
A small gesture of solidarity with Alfredo on hunger strike since October 20th against 41 bis and life imprisonment without appeal. Solidarity with Thanos, Ivan, Juan, Anna, Toby and all revolutionary prisoners and anyone who finds themselves behind bars.

On January 12th, the 85th day of the hunger strike to the bitter end against 41 bis prison regime and life imprisonment without possibility of parole, the antagonist radio station Radio Onda d’Urto broadcast a third speech by the doctor who is regularly visiting anarchist comrade Alfredo Cospito, imprisoned in the Bancali prison, in Sassari. As for the updates on the 71st (December 29th) and 78th day (January 5th) of hunger strike, we report a transcript of the speech and the recording of the broadcast (in italian language):
“He has lost even more weight, and significantly more than last week: he lost another 4.50 kg, so he weighed 80 kg today. So for his height of about 1.93 cm, he is about 10 kg below his target weight. The musculature is getting progressively smaller […]. He was a bit angry because today four members of parliament from Partito Democratico [Democratic Party, PD] went to visit him [in Italy parliamentarians can, by their own decision, visit prisons at any time] and he reiterated that his struggle is not just for him, but is for all those who are imprisoned in 41 bis.

Ivan on 16th day of hunger strike!
We hear from France about the new hunger strike that anarchist Ivan Alocco has been on in solidarity with Alfredo since last December 22 [the comrade went on a first hunger strike, which lasted 35 days, between October 27 and December 1].
Ivan is fine, he takes sugar in his water instead of meals and also a little salt in the morning, which prevents his tension from dropping too much causing him great dizziness (however, the lowest blood pressure he has reached so far is 50 minimum and 80 maximum). Glucose is okay, toxins some days are a bit high, but nothing to worry about.

Affinity: In the desert, hell
Life can be a parody of itself or simply a choice. When banality creeps into the guts, horror is always at hand, lurking, to make everything seem normal. If we were to think of the world today, in addition to the ongoing massacre of war and the genocide of consciences in the last two and a half years in the age of contagion, we could, without euphemism, think of the desert. In the desert, everything tends towards the identical, and the most distressing thing is that one never sees the end of it, even when thirsty for oases of shelter.
On the night of 3 June, an entire section of the prison of Cremona goes up in revolt. That place catches fire, the cages are one with black smoke. A few days earlier a prisoner attempted to strangle a screw. The revolt is put down in a great hurry also by cops and firefighters who’d rushed to protect authority, i.e., the segregation of those bodies. About eighty prisoners are evacuated. Who knows how long that section will remain unusable.
