SOLIDARITY POSTER : FREEDOM FOR CLAUDIO LAVAZZA!

Actforfree received by email and distribute :
POSTER PDF
From January 7, 2022, a period of solidarity with anarchist comrade Claudio Lavazza will begin. Claudio was first imprisoned by the Spanish then by the French State, and has already served over 25 years in detention. Although the doors of prison should have already opened last December 11, the prosecutor of Mont de Marsan – the emissary of State vengeance that is following his case – continues to keep him behind bars.
To raise awareness about the solidarity needed for our comrade, a poster with an international scope has been printed (at the moment in Italian, Spanish, English and French). Those who share it and wish to spread it, can request copies and more information at this email address:
inattuali (at) riseup (dot) net
It is very important to not leave Claudio alone in this moment and to not make him look isolated to his captors. We here publish his new address, as we think it is essential that he receives letters:

Update from the gathering at Korydallos prison on New Year’s Eve (Athens,Greece)

On the eve of New Year’s Eve, following the call of the assembly of solidarity with imprisoned, fugitive and persecuted militants, about 200 comrades gathered outside Korydallos prison to bring in the New Year, joining our voices with those of the prisoners.
We stayed outside the prison for about an hour with fliers, slogans, smoke bombs and fireworks, briefly blocking Grigoriou Lambraki street, where we stayed for a long time exchanging words and slogans with the prisoners of the women’s prison of Korydallos.

New Year’s Eve to the Jail (Germany)

For a long time, it has been an anarchist tradition to go to the jail on this day and start the new year with all prisoners and demand their freedom.
Now it may seem strange to some people when we talk about the freedom of all prisoners, because there may also be people there whose actions we deeply despise. This is also true, and yet we are convinced that a critical and solidarity-based approach to prisoners is needed.
The majority of those who spend days, months, years or even their entire lives in prisons are there for social reasons. In other words, their deeds are the result of social misery. They are thieves or burglars who have not physically harmed anyone, but merely wanted to survive in a world that has cast them out. They are people who have been caught driving illegally too often because tickets are becoming more and more expensive. Likewise, refugees are locked away, some of whom have travelled incredible distances to flee political persecution or simply to live a better life. From the beginning of our lives, we are confronted with laws and rules that we never decided or wanted. If we do not comply with them, there is punishment. The highest form of punishment in this State is prison, because this seems to people to be the most humane form of punishment. People look arrogantly at other countries that still carry out corporal and or death sentences. But let’s be honest, isn’t a (life) sentence also just a death sentence in instalments? Prisons are not hotels, life there is neither fair nor free of exploitation and oppression. It is also expensive.

Gathering 31.12.2021, 23:30 Korydallos Town Hall
In times of pandemic, thousands of dead and so many others seeking access to basic goods, in times when the world is increasingly resembling a modern supervised prison, we do not forget the “invisible” of this world.
We express our solidarity with the incarcerated population and join our voices with our imprisoned comrades who are being held because of their choice to fight in the struggle.
UNTIL THE LAST PRISON IS DEMOLISHED

Hands off the Biologic squat! [solidarity week 10-17 of January 2022] (Greece)

We call for a week of solidarity with the squatted, liberated ground of Biologica Squat from the 10th to the 17th of January 2022. We call for this week to be another reason for revolutionaries, individuals and collectives in Greece, Europe and throughout the whole world to show their solidarity by all means possible, with evert way that they consider as suitable for the 34 years of the liberated grounds of Biologica Squat which is now under the threat of eviction. Every eviction has its price. Prepare, beware, solidarity is our weapon.

Hands off the Biologic squat!

On Thursday 18th of November 2021, we noticed some “changes” inside the Biological building and more specific inside the foyer area, from the installation of plasterboard that blocked half of the space by leaving behind a corridor between the two entrances of the building. They even had the audacity to leave some distinct marks on walls, including the wall of the squat by foreshadowing their demolition.

pdf : PANFLETOMARCHACIE IN ENGLISH
AGAINST THE CIES, THE NATIONS, THE BORDERS AND THE SYSTEM THAT PERPETUATES THEM
On May 17, 2021, a geopolitical conflict between the Spanish and Moroccan states led to the opening of borders in Morocco, with the consequent crossing of people under inhumane conditions on the border beaches between the two countries. In response, the Spanish State increased its military presence in Ceuta, carrying out hot returns and other humiliating treatment, reducing people to mere merchandise. On August 30 of this year, due to military and economic interests, an unsustainable situation has been generated in Afghanistan forcing people to leave the country.
These are clear examples of the role of democracy and capitalism in the management of our lives, through the development of infrastructures, control of population flows, treaties, laws and borders. All this generates an important business that seeks to control the oppressed populations and use them for their miserable self-dealing and political games.

Solidarity text by Rigaer94, 34 years are not enough! Solidarity with Biologica squat in Thessaloniki

Biologica squat has been a political and cultural reference central point for the city of Thessaloniki for 34 years. It has been the ground for many political and cultural assemblies, public events and workshops while supporting the DIY culture in every possible way. Through the years it has a space in the university campus that constantly shouts against discrimination, exploitation and every type of authority. It has hosted many open assemblies, collectives and has been one of the places in the city where people of the anarchist, LGBTQ, punk and student scene come together against anti-commercialism, gentrification and organise against the capitalist way of life that the city of the rich imposes on our lives. At the moment, Biologica squat is the home of the collective “Biologica”, a group of people supporting the DIY scene in anti-commercial terms, the Solidarity Fund for the support of persecuted prisoners and Terra Incognita, an anarchist collective supporting the struggle with all means. In the earlier years of Biologica, other collectives were also active while other groups supported the space by organising public events.
With continuous political interventions in the university campus, the Biologica squat and other groups and individuals who are in solidarity with it, create grounds where manifestations, banner-drops, stickers, and other means strike against the university’s sterilized ideas and manage to bring into the offensive anti-sexist, anti-speciesism, anti-commercial and anti-authoritarian ideas.

Report-back from a Rail Blockade in Saint-Lambert (Montreal,Canada)

Anonymous submission to MTL Counter-info
On Saturday, more than sixty people acting in solidarity with Wet’suwet’en land defenders blocked the CN main line in Saint-Lambert south of Montreal for over six hours. It was the longest rail blockade in Quebec since the winter of 2020, interrupting Via Rail service and immobilizing six freight trains. These notes reflect the experience of a couple participants in Saturday’s blockade.
Nostalgia mixed with anticipation as we arrived at the tracks where they cross rue Saint-Georges, with banners ready to hang across the rail crossing and no police in sight. It was a bright morning, temperatures just below freezing and the ground snowless, a contrast with that first night in February 2020, when temperatures sunk to 25 below and snow could be piled into mounds atop the rails.

Down with the EU`s borders!
Against a state of indifference!
For weeks now it has been clear that inhumane conditions also prevail at the Polish-Belarusian border. With the onset of winter, the situation has worsened: Thousands of people are stuck at the Polish border, trying to find their way into the EU through the cold and harsh forests. Poland’s border policy – like the policies of the rest of the Schengen states – leaves no room for doubt: The European Union is building on ever-higher walls. The border is under constant strict technological and military surveillance and illegal push-backs – the deportation of those who do make it across the border – are not the exception but the rule. Journalists and aid organizations are still denied access to the Polish border area. What images are released to the public is part of a political calculation and is solely in the hands of the authorities.
