PRESS RELEASE 15/4/2026 FROM THE MEDICAL TEAM MONITORING THE HEALTH OF HUNGER STRIKER ARISTOTELIS CHANTZIS, who has been on hunger strike since February 5, 2026

Hunger striker Aristotelis Chantzis, who is on his 70th day of hunger strike, presents with low serum urea levels, hyperuricemia, and symptomatic hypoglycemia on blood tests, findings consistent with starvation.

Clinically, both established paresthesias (numbness) in the lower extremities and diminished tendon reflexes are observed due to malnutrition and muscle atrophy, while on 04/03/2026 he was transferred to the emergency department of “G. Τόσο από την ανακοίνωση των εκεί μπάτσων, όσο και από την κατάσταση που βρέθηκε η σορός του συντρόφου Sandro, φαίνεται ότι είχε προηγηθεί πρόωρη έκρηξη. Support and participate in the defense of the Community of Squatted Prosfygika in Athens and the self-organized restoration of the neighborhood (Greece)

In the heart of Athens, the  Community of Squatted Prosfygika has hosted, sheltered, fed, and supported thousands of people over the past 15 years. It is one of the largest self-organized and liberated neighborhoods in Europe.

The Community is becoming stronger, but so is the repression. Currently, Prosfygika is under threat of attack and eviction. Over the past decade, this is the fiths time that the state and the region have attempted to evict and loot Prosfygika. This time, the threat seems the most serious and is about to be executed immediately. Once again yellow envelopes fly into the mailboxes of anarchists in Munich. This time without the spirited ramblings of our favorite General SA employee Firoozi (or rather we seem to be her favorites). Instead this time it is the association “VRIOLG Dr. Stoll” & Co., from the higher court of Munich, that has honored some anarchists with their text. More than three months after the judicial association Himmelstoß & Co. declined to reopen the “Zündlumpen” case in the Staatsschutz (SS) chamber, due to a lack of evidence connecting one of the accused to the publishing of “Zündlumpen,” and after General SA Firoozi appealed the decision, the higher court of Munich has finally graced us with their decision. About the raids at the anarchist library Kalabalik and the widespread wave of repression in Berlin

Early in the morning of March 24, 2026, the time had come once again. The doors of 17 buildings in Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Kyritz were kicked in by a squad of masked figures who descended upon the people sleeping there, or, as in our case, upon bookshelves and newspaper archives. Reason for the violent wake-up call by the Berlin LKA, this time, was an arson attack last September on the power supply to the Adlershof Technology Park, which resulted in a widespread blackout. They’re looking for evidence to finally prove all the mental acrobatics of the investigation team “Spannung” [tension] to back up their hallucinated theories. This is at least what can be inferred from the search warrant presented, which was approved by enforcement judge Jacob. The places targeted were Infoladen Scherer8, L5 Späti, and several private apartments, and, as has happened several times in the past, the Anarchist Library Kalabalik in Kreuzberg.

You might remember back in 2018 government snoops were already after something big. It was reported that folks wearing reggae hats had put up posters asking for help tracking down the politicians responsible for the 2017 G20 summit in Hamburg, as well as some of their particularly eager goons. They were also on the hunt for posters featuring photos of plainclothes cops.

In central Athens, there is a squatted community were over 400 people from 27 different regions, speaking 20 different languages live together. They have managed to create their own self-organized reality building more than 20 infrastructures to take care of their health, education, culture. In June 2025, this community received new threats of eviction. However, what the extreme right wing government of Kiriakos Mitsotakis does not understand is that inside these 8 buildings there is so much more than walls and property titles.

On 31/10/24, the anarchist comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris lost his life,
after an explosion in an apartment in Ampelokipi during the manufacture of explosives. The anarchist comrade Marianna M was also in the apartment and was seriously injured.

For this case, the injured comrade Marianna. M, the anarchist comrade Dimitra Z. and comrade Dimitris (for the delivery and collection of the keys to the apartment), as well as comrade Nikos Romanos and A.K. for half their fingerprints on a plastic bag, were remanded in custody. I would like to state to the residents of the apartment building that the explosion was not due to an organized plan. It resulted in the death of my comrade, Kyriakos Xymitiris, and my own serious injury. We never wanted general people to suffer, nor to cause damage to people whilst social conditions are already very serious. When our political space wants to attack it evaluates, and the logic of collateral damage is in no way consistent with its values. We use our means against the system alone.

Ampelokipoi Case – 3rd Hearing – 04/03/2026 (detailed report)

The day began with the examination of the remaining witness for the prosecution. The witness is the owner of apartment C7. In response to questions from the presiding chamber, he estimated the total damage to his apartment at between 5,000 and 10,000 euros. He also stated that the issue of structural stability may have been raised by TERNA, without them having been provided with a copy of any technical report. The witness does not know who commissioned the TEE report or who handled the procedures for issuing the building permit. The witness confirmed that there are open shops on the ground floor of the apartment building and expressed the opinion that, theoretically, there is a structural stability issue in the event of an earthquake.

We are putting together and publishing some short texts and images from the initiative of domenica 29 marzo a Roma [Sunday March 29 in Rome] in memory of the anarchist comrades Sara Ardizzone e Alessandro Mercogliano. In spite of the attempt to block the morning’s appointment, a demonstration was held in the early afternoon leaving from the Quarticciolo. All those arrested in the morning (at least 91) were taken to the immigration office of Rome police station and released in the evening. Yet again, the day of Sunday showed the attempts of the repressive forces to isolate Sara and Sandro – first by unleashing a mass-media campaign aimed (in vain) at undermining their integrity, then systematically trying to block the moments and initiatives in their memory – but did not obtain the desired effect. Soon we will also be publishing other texts and images of 29 March in Rome.

Hanging a solidarity papers banners for Community of Squatted Prosfygika and the fallen comrades in Rome. (Athens,Greece)

On 19/3 in Rome, during a preparatory action, the anarchists Sara Ardizone and Alessandro Mercoliano lost their lives. As a minimal sign of honor and memory to the comrades, the first banner was hung with reference to them. Also, as a sign of solidarity with the struggle of the Community of Squatted Prosfygika and the hunger strike of Aristotle Chantzis, the second banner was hung with relevant content. If We Are Afraid Today, We Will Be Afraid Tomorrow and Forever 

It took 512 days for the authorities to finally decide that it was time to try our case, the Ampelokipi case. Just one breath before the end of the 18-month period. Not because the investigative process was truly endless, nor because new evidence was constantly emerging in the meantime. From the very first moment, the facts were more or less the same.

The choice, however, to set the trial at the last minute was neither accidental nor procedural. It was a purely political choice, a conscious method so that the process would run on a fast track and the desired decision would be produced, with the same speed. Nevertheless, in this last text of mine before the trial, I will not dwell in detail on the practices and methods that the judicial authorities employ against us. These are already known to anyone who wants to see them.
