On 31/10, the anarchist Kyriakos Xymitiris is killed by an explosion in an apartment in area of Ampelokipoi in Athens

For our comrade , the only ones who can speak are us. All of us who were with him in assemblies, actions, marches, conflicts.

Kyriakos was for years continuously present in prisoner solidarity projects, in the anti-war-Internationalist movement, in actions for the defence of the neighbourhood of Exarchia, in the struggles within the universities, in the defence of the liberated spaces of the squatters and in every social and class struggle. He gave himself to them, always seeking to discover together their most insurrectionalist possibilities. He did not just theoretically defend the multifaceted struggle towards social liberation, but was its truest embodiment.

The comrade Kyriakos chose to fight to the end, fighting the world of power, the state, capital, racism, patriarchy with all means. He chose to fight on the side of the oppressed and the rebels for a better world, for a world of solidarity, equality, freedom.

His loss leaves a huge void in his family and friends, in the comrades who were close to him, but also in the struggle itself, which he marked both with his attitude and with his words.

The anarchist fighter Kyriakos Xymitiris was one of us. We will defend his memory and hold it forever in our hearts and in every moment of our struggle.

“I know you do not count on them because the Court is armed, but I beg you to permit me to tell you that you must count on them very much, whenever they themselves think that they are all. Here is where they stand: and they begin not to count your troops because the evil is that their power exists in their imaginations and it can be said with absolute certainty that, unlike all other kinds of power, when they reach a certain point they can do whatever they want that they can do.”

Comrade, we will meet again on the roads of fire where you will live forever…

As a small sign of solidarity and memory, a banner was hung for the events of October 31st in Ampelokipi, on the facade of the Evangelismos occupation.

 

On 10/31, following an explosion in an apartment in Ampelokipoi area Athens, the anarchist comrade Kyriakos X was killed. In addition, following the same explosion, the comrade Marianna M. is in a serious condition in Evangelismos hospital – guarded by all kinds of cops – while at the same time people have been arrested and targeted from their close friendly environment. Against the terror hysteria that the media is trying to impose, we stand by the comrade M.

Strength and speedy recovery to the comrade Marianna.

We take responsibility for the attack on the premises of the local organization of New Democracy, in the 5th municipal district Agios Eleftherios on Petridis Street, with an incendiary device in the early morning of October 13th. We chose to place the device in front of the metal door of your offices because although we could have broken into them and burned them completely, we did not want to risk the safety of the residents of the apartment building located above your hole. So we consciously hit this target and minimized the damage, because for us it had great symbolic value, clearly proven by the fact that you kept quiet about it.

In its 50 years it has remained and will go down in history for the dozens if not hundreds of scandals with bribes, murders, trafficking rings, participation in fascist groups, etc. This right-wing, patriotic-traditional party, which still gathers a huge percentage of supporters, has been in power for 5 years and with a specific and methodical plan has created the ultimate European paradise for domestic and international capital, as well as for the mafias all over the world, and absolute hell and dystopia for the lower economic and social strata. New Democracy and all its cronies (judges, mafia, businessmen) act shamelessly and cynically without trying to hide their atrocities, sodomizing anyone who tries to take out their dirty laundry or opposes even their own victims.

Volos, Greece: Taking responsibility by solidarians in solidarity with the death of 21-year-old foreigner in the youth detention centre prison

Taking responsibility in solidarity with the death of 21-year-old foreigner in the youth detention centre.

Once again we bear witness to the absolute inhumanity towards prisoners following the death of a 21-year-old foreigner from “pathological” causes in the youth detention centre of Volos. The just uprising that broke out inside the prison on the night of 26/10 is the least possible act of the prisoners to break the cordon of terror imposed by the humans-guards.

As a reflexive act of solidarity, we broke the ATMs of Alpha Bank the same night as well as burning bins in the centre of Volos.

Some things don’t surprise us and for sure the recourse to judicial options I find distasteful but expedient. Anarchism is either illegal or it is not anarchism as our dear comrade Gustavo Rodriguez reminds us. Nevertheless, over the past few months my lawyers were able to obtain a Security Intelligence Report (SIR) produced by the prison’s anti-terror bureaucrats. This disclosure occurred in the course of a parole motion, which was denied in any event. The Secretary of State opposed my release and used a non-disclosure application to prevent me from seeing or being able to respond to “evidence” used against me on grounds of “national security”. The Parole Board disagreed and granted me access to a scant eight pages of intelligence reports.

These cover the time period September 2023 – January 2024 and show an incomplete snapshot of the surveillance and censorship of my correspondence and books, the gathering of information on those that I am in contact with and the intel received about the fireworks solidarity demo at Bristol prison last year when I was detained there. The report revealed the collection of all the names, addresses and personal details of all those who communicate with me. For example, it is noted that one comrade writes that he works as a postman, another comrade “has a daughter in prison”, etc. Also listed in the entries are any personal connections and any details related to affiliations to any groups or tendencies. Geographic analysis using Google Maps has been made to view their locations. The Star and Shadow Cinema in Newcastle upon Tyne is designated a “potential meeting point” and BASE in Bristol described as “a heavily graffitied possible squat or commune.

As the Felipe Ríos support network has already communicated, through communiques on the counterinformation networks, for the past month our comrade has been receiving continual harassment from the gendarmes of $hile. Concretely, he is being transferred within the CPP Bío Bío from one unit to another, placed in isolation cells, denied his belongings and under constant threat of punishment, all for not bowing his head to each arbitrary order of the cops.

Pipe has been imprisoned for more than 4 years, after spending almost two years in clandestinity. Through his communiques we’ve been made aware that being in prison has not bent his firm beliefs against the State and capital, and that he’s remained critical to the prison dynamics that pit some prisoners against others, promoting codes that are different from the authoritarian ones reproduced in the wretched prisons. The comrade’s stringent belief implies an enormous challenge, because it’s not the same path of the majority of the prison population. Therefore, it is mediated by a large share of solitude, which he has always confronted with dignity and with his head held high.

Sardinia (Italy): green capitalism under fire again

On September 9, on the occasion of attacks on industrial wind turbines in Mamoiada and Villacidro, we published a short summary of mobilizations against “energy speculation” in Sardinia, with some details about the two sabotages at the end of August.

As it happens, the series didn’t stop there, as a third occurred shortly afterwards against one of the countless “green” nuisances being installed on the island. On the night of Monday to Tuesday, September 11, at around 4 a.m., in the Garganu area near Tuili in the south of the territory, two thousand photovoltaic panels were completely destroyed after being sprayed with petrol and then set alight. The panels had been stored at the site for use by Polish energy multinational Greenvolt Power.

Sardinia (Italy): the price of green capitalism

In Sardinia, as in many other parts of Europe, energy projects to feed green capitalism have been proliferating for several years. In these sunny and seaside regions, already infested by mass tourism, these are mainly solar and wind farms.

On this Mediterranean island off the coast of Corsica, monsters of steel and cement must be built at all costs, even if it means uprooting olive, apricot and almond trees by force, to be replaced by huge industrial wind turbines with masts up to 200 meters high. Nearly 800 new “renewable energy production” projects are officially being studied, some of which are symbolic of all the others, such as that of the Chinese multinational Chint, which in April 2024 purchased over a thousand hectares in the north of the island (at Nurra), in order to build the largest solar farm ever conceived in Europe. Faced with growing citizen protests, ranging from local committee demonstrations to picketing the port of Oristano in an attempt to block the arrival of a shipment of wind masts, and arguing in particular for the landscape and the fact that Sardinia cannot continue to be ravaged in this way just to export so-called “green” energy to the mainland, the region’s president soon found herself faced with a dilemma.

According to reports from several State media and the police, in the night of 27th September, 50 to 100 people caused riots in the Kreuzberg district near the Schlesisches Tor. In one of the videos entitled “Berlin rise up” on Tiktok and Instagram, you see many people spontaneously demonstrating in the streets and shouting slogans against the genocidal war of Israel – supported by the Western accomplices – against the Palestinian population and the recent extension of the killings to Lebanon. The crowd passes by burning materials, including a chemical bath, and spilled construction material. Several fireworks are set off.

According to state media and the cops, during the “riots”, stones and bottles were thrown at the police officers who arrived on the spot to keep away this crowd of German pro-Israeli “state reasons”. For example, the windows of a police vehicle were broken, forcing the policemen to retreat. The imperial war is being built here in Europe. Transport infrastructure is an essential base for its development.
As part of its European military mobility programme, the Transatlantic Security Initiative (TSI) produced a report in April 2020. The aim is to increase freight capacity and digital connections within and outside Europe. This relationship results in new agreements between railway companies and military companies.
This is what is currently happening in Italy between Leonardo (an arms company) and RFI (the Italian Railway Network).L

In France, the SNCF [Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français – French national railway company] boasted that it was the first industry invited to the parade on 14th July, in honour of its participation in the nation’s rearmament effort and logistical support. But it is not the only one: many others are taking advantage of the devastation in act, from the arms market to that of reconstruction. The area southwest of Toulouse is home to SNCF, Thalès, Airbus, Safran and other war beneficiaries. Symbolically, at least for a day, their workers had difficulty getting to work this morning – we are sorry for those who just wanted to take a walk.

Munich (Germany): the rail-mounted factory didn’t make it through the night

Some don’t appreciate anonymous attacks on power, to say the least. On one side are the narrow-minded of the revolutionary movement, who see nothing but “recuperation” when comrades highlight and defend acts that speak to them. At the opposite end of the spectrum, for example, are the Munich cops, who in 2023 had to set up a special investigation group called “Raute”, under the State Protection Service (Staatsschutz), to try and solve some 30 arson attacks that left no textual clues. These included sabotage of communications, energy, logistics and war infrastructures*, two of which were the subject of raids by German police on comrades in Brussels and Amsterdam last May

After a few months’ respite, the lackeys of Bavaria’s good order were hoping to finally bask in the summer sun, if not for the return of the ghosts that haunt their sleepless nights. In Oberhaching, a small village to the south of Munich, a 200-meter-long ballast cleaner machine was parked to replace the track ballast between the S-Bahn (suburban railway) stations of Deisenhofen and Solln. A fine civilizational undertaking that was ruined at around 4am on Wednesday July 31, when several incendiary devices were judiciously placed to devour it in flames. The damage caused by the sabotage is estimated at around 500,000 euros, or “a six-figure sum in the middle of the range”, as they say in the bureaucratic language of uniforms. Not least because the expensive steel snake consisting of two excavation chains and three screen systems is now out of action, and part of it had to be dismantled on site.

Reflective gathering today by Anarchists Tuesday, October 29, in Eleftherias Square of Korydallos at 20:30, for the hanged prisoner in Korydallos prisons. Athens,Greece

On the evening of Friday 25/10, a 22-year-old woman prisoner was found hanged in a temporary detention area of Korydallos prisons, with the news announced by the media of the system four days later on the morning of the 29th. On 24/10 she had been transferred to the special health centre of Korydallos prisons and then to a psychiatric hospital, as the prison officials had judged her behaviour “criminal”. She was then returned to her cell with the same pattern repeating itself next morning. Even if forensically this is considered suicide, the distinction is meaningless as a large number of previous incidents prove the uniformed officers’ contribution. This particular case is another state murder, reminding us of the punitive and inhumane nature of the prison system.

A system that not only does not care about them, but annihilates the personality of each prisoner. A system that not only does not respect mental illness, neurodiversity and the experiences of the incarcerated, but that creates countless psychological traumas and not only.
