On the 31st of October, anarchist Kyriakos Ksimitiris was killed by an explosion in an apartment in Ampelokipoi area in Athens, Greece.
The only ones who can talk about our comrade are all of us who stood beside him in assemblies, actions, demos, and clashes.

For many years, Kyriakos had been incessantly present in groups of
solidarity to prisoners; in the antiwar-internationalist movement; in
actions to defend the neighbourhood of Exarchia; in struggles in the
universities; in the defence of squats and in every social and class
struggle. He was dedicated to it, always willing to explore together its most rebellious aspects. He wasn’t simply defending the struggle by all means for social liberation from a theoretical perspective, he truly incarnated it.

Comrade Kyriakos chose to fight until the end, by all means, against the world of power, state, capital, racism, patriarchy. He chose to fight on the side of the oppressed and the revolted, for a better world; for a world of solidarity, equality, freedom.
His loss creates a huge void for his family and friends, his comrades
who stood beside him; a void also for the struggle, to which he left his mark by his attitude and words.

Anarchist Kyriakos Ksimitiris was one of us. We will defend and
keep his memory forever in our hearts and in every moment of our
struggle.

“I know you despise them because the Court is so well armed, but let me tell you that they are so confident of their power that they feel their importance. They are come to that pass that they do not value your forces, and though the evil is that at present their strength consists only in their imagination, yet a time may come when they may be able to do whatever they now think it in their power to do.”

Le 31 octobre 2024, l’anarchiste Kyriakos Ksimitiris est tué suite à uneexplosion dans un appartement dans la région d’Ampelokipi, à Athènes,Grèce.Les seul.e.s qui peuvent parler de notre compagnon, c’est nous ;tout.e.s ceux et celles qui ont partagé avec lui des assemblés, desactions, des manifs, des affrontements.Kyriakos a été incessamment présent, pendant des années, dans desgroupes de solidarité aux prisonniers ; dans le mouvement anti-guerre –internationaliste ; à des actions pour la défense de la régiond’Exarchia ; aux luttes dans les universités ; à la défense des squatset dans toutes les luttes sociales et de classe.

Il a été dédié à cesluttes, toujours motivé d’explorer en commun leur aspects les plussubversifs. Il ne défendait pas simplement au niveau théorique la luttepar tous les moyens pour la libération sociale, il en était sa véritableincarnation. Notre compagnon Kyriakos a choisi de se battre jusqu’au but, luttant partous les moyens contre le monde du pouvoir, l’État, le capital, leracisme, le patriarcat. Il a choisi de lutter aux côtés des oppressés etdes révoltés pour un meilleur monde, pour un monde de solidarité,d’égalité, de liberté.Sa perte laisse un vide énorme pour sa famille et ses ami.e.s, pour sescompagnon.ne.s qui l’ont croisé, mais aussi pour la lutte elle-même,qu’il a marqué tant avec son attitude qu’avec ses mots.L’anarchiste Kyriakos Ksimitiris était un parmi nous. The Community of Squatted Prosfygika* was violently raided twice by armed police forces in the 22nd of November, 2022. The first raid took place in the early morning hours and the goal was to capture fellow comrade and member of the community Kostas Dimalexis, whom the state accused of commiting arson attacks on state and capital targets. The case could not stand in court, where, after a year and a half of imprisonment he was deemed non-guilty, since most if not all the evidence was either fabricated or just lacking.

Afterwards, in the evening of the 22nd, the second raid occurred, where a counter-terrorist unit backed up by other militarised police squads broke into one of the buildings of the community, a building that houses a social kitchen, an open political space and families, and arrested 79 people. Among them were comrades who came to express their solidarity to the community after the first raid and families with children. This group stood united and fought valiantly against the police forces in order to protect one another and the liberated grounds of the community.

We call for a gathering in solidarity with our injured anarchist comrade Marianna M., following the explosion on 31/10 at an apartment in Ampelokipoi, Athens, Greece. Our anarchist comrade Kyriakos Ks., who lost his life, will live on in our memory and through our struggles.

We know both comrades from their continuous and consistent participation and action in the social struggles. We stand beside them, beside their families, friends and comrades. We won’t allow any police operation targeting their keens, such as those regularly carried out by the antiterrorist section in the past. Against the fear that the cops are trying to spread and the mud thrown by the media, we all stand by their side.

On 31/10, the anarchist Kyriakos Xymitiris is killed by an explosion in an apartment in area of Ampelokipoi in Athens

For our comrade , the only ones who can speak are us. All of us who were with him in assemblies, actions, marches, conflicts.

Kyriakos was for years continuously present in prisoner solidarity projects, in the anti-war-Internationalist movement, in actions for the defence of the neighbourhood of Exarchia, in the struggles within the universities, in the defence of the liberated spaces of the squatters and in every social and class struggle. He gave himself to them, always seeking to discover together their most insurrectionalist possibilities. He did not just theoretically defend the multifaceted struggle towards social liberation, but was its truest embodiment.

The comrade Kyriakos chose to fight to the end, fighting the world of power, the state, capital, racism, patriarchy with all means. He chose to fight on the side of the oppressed and the rebels for a better world, for a world of solidarity, equality, freedom.

His loss leaves a huge void in his family and friends, in the comrades who were close to him, but also in the struggle itself, which he marked both with his attitude and with his words.

The anarchist fighter Kyriakos Xymitiris was one of us. We will defend his memory and hold it forever in our hearts and in every moment of our struggle.

“I know you do not count on them because the Court is armed, but I beg you to permit me to tell you that you must count on them very much, whenever they themselves think that they are all. Here is where they stand: and they begin not to count your troops because the evil is that their power exists in their imaginations and it can be said with absolute certainty that, unlike all other kinds of power, when they reach a certain point they can do whatever they want that they can do.”

As a small sign of solidarity and memory, a banner was hung for the events of October 31st in Ampelokipi, on the facade of the Evangelismos occupation.

 

On 10/31, following an explosion in an apartment in Ampelokipoi area Athens, the anarchist comrade Kyriakos X was killed. In addition, following the same explosion, the comrade Marianna M. is in a serious condition in Evangelismos hospital – guarded by all kinds of cops – while at the same time people have been arrested and targeted from their close friendly environment. Against the terror hysteria that the media is trying to impose, we stand by the comrade M.

Arson Attack on the Offices of New Democracy ( Greek government political party)

We take responsibility for the attack on the premises of the local organization of New Democracy, in the 5th municipal district Agios Eleftherios on Petridis Street, with an incendiary device in the early morning of October 13th. We chose to place the device in front of the metal door of your offices because although we could have broken into them and burned them completely, we did not want to risk the safety of the residents of the apartment building located above your hole. So we consciously hit this target and minimized the damage, because for us it had great symbolic value, clearly proven by the fact that you kept quiet about it.

In its 50 years it has remained and will go down in history for the dozens if not hundreds of scandals with bribes, murders, trafficking rings, participation in fascist groups, etc. This right-wing, patriotic-traditional party, which still gathers a huge percentage of supporters, has been in power for 5 years and with a specific and methodical plan has created the ultimate European paradise for domestic and international capital, as well as for the mafias all over the world, and absolute hell and dystopia for the lower economic and social strata. New Democracy and all its cronies (judges, mafia, businessmen) act shamelessly and cynically without trying to hide their atrocities, sodomizing anyone who tries to take out their dirty laundry or opposes even their own victims.

Taking responsibility in solidarity with the death of 21-year-old foreigner in the youth detention centre.

Once again we bear witness to the absolute inhumanity towards prisoners following the death of a 21-year-old foreigner from “pathological” causes in the youth detention centre of Volos. The just uprising that broke out inside the prison on the night of 26/10 is the least possible act of the prisoners to break the cordon of terror imposed by the humans-guards.

As a reflexive act of solidarity, we broke the ATMs of Alpha Bank the same night as well as burning bins in the centre of Volos.
