Bryansk : On the night of 18 April, Yevgeny Rytikov, head of the design bureau of the Bryansk Electromechanical Plant, was liquidated in Bryansk. He was responsible for the development and modernisation of REB and electronic intelligence systems for the Russian army, including the Krasukha complex.
His car was blown up with an IED. The explosive device under the bottom of the car went off as the man was getting into the cabin with his colleague. Both died on the spot.
Samara region
On the night of 18 to 19 April, unknown persons set fire to the administration building of Koshkinskiy district, Samara region.
The fire started in the office of housing and communal services and construction – furniture, equipment and documents were burnt. The resulting fire was extinguished for 1.5 hours. Gloves and a plastic cover were found on the spot. Despite the fact that there were surveillance cameras on the building of the district administration, it was not possible to establish the identity of the arsonist, as he knew about their ‘blind spots’ in advance.
