The Trial of Ruslan Sidiki in Ryazan

Tuesday May 13, a panel of judges from the 2nd Western District Military Court began substantive hearings in Ryazan in the case against anarchist Ruslan Sidiki, who is charged under “terrorism” articles for two attacks on military infrastructure

Ruslan Sidiki was brought into the courtroom in shackles, which were not removed even inside the defendant’s cage. There were 10 bailiffs present in the room, some of them armed with rifles. As one attendee noted: “The level of security was like the Kremlin.” Prosecutor Boris Motorin requested that the trial be held behind closed doors, claiming that it would include “methods of conducting terrorist activities” and details about the Dyagilevo military airbase, which Sidiki allegedly attempted to attack. He also argued that investigative techniques might be disclosed. However, defense attorney Igor Popovsky and Sidiki himself objected, stating that the case materials contain no state secrets. Judge Oleg Shishov denied the prosecutor’s request but banned photo, video, and audio recordings.

During the first hearing:
-The prosecutor read out the charges.
-Four representatives of the victims were questioned.
-Part of the written case materials was read.

The hearing ran from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a break for lunch. The prosecutor read out written case materials, and three witnesses were questioned. Two of them were local residents who could not provide any significant testimony.

Anarchist Alexey Rozhkov sentenced to 16 years for setting fire to a military enlistment office

Rozhkov carried out the third known arson attack on a military enlistment office following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army. He committed the act on March 11, 2022, as a form of protest and a way to draw attention to the situation. In an interview Ivan Astashin conducted with Alexey in December 2022 — when he had managed to flee to Kyrgyzstan — the anarchist explained his motivation:

“I just understood that I couldn’t stay indifferent. (…) Any war means death for ordinary, simple people. War in the 21st century seems completely alien to me. Especially with such absurd reasons [they gave]. We annexed Crimea in 2014, and even then I said it was all done in vain. Crimea is not ours and never will be. There will be consequences. And that’s exactly what happened.

Russia: Radical resistance 15.03 – 30.04.2025

Bryansk : On the night of 18 April, Yevgeny Rytikov, head of the design bureau of the Bryansk Electromechanical Plant, was liquidated in Bryansk. He was responsible for the development and modernisation of REB and electronic intelligence systems for the Russian army, including the Krasukha complex.

His car was blown up with an IED. The explosive device under the bottom of the car went off as the man was getting into the cabin with his colleague. Both died on the spot.

Samara region

On the night of 18 to 19 April, unknown persons set fire to the administration building of Koshkinskiy district, Samara region.

The fire started in the office of housing and communal services and construction – furniture, equipment and documents were burnt. The resulting fire was extinguished for 1.5 hours. Gloves and a plastic cover were found on the spot. Despite the fact that there were surveillance cameras on the building of the district administration, it was not possible to establish the identity of the arsonist, as he knew about their ‘blind spots’ in advance. Food Liberated (Hochelaga a neighborhood in Montreal, Quebec, Canada)

Hochelaga, April 30, 9pm

Tonight, people engaged in combative mutual aid. Food should be free, as with all essential items. The scourge of capitalism has made it so that necessities such as food and housing are things to be earned rather than inalienable basic needs.

Today we are making food free in our own way, by liberating sustenance to redistribute amongst the community. And we will do it again. The state apparatus may try to stop us, and in doing so, show its true colors. The government and the corporate interest it serves are not your friends. They will sooner let you starve than sacrifice their bottom line. Eat freely!

Number of the day: a 50% increase of physical attacks on the war economy

The news came to us from a specialist journal that not many read, other than those interested, and from someone who is usually more discreet, but who felt that the time was serious enough to sound the alarm.

In the April 14, 2025 issue of the monthly magazine L’Usine Nouvelle, an interview with General Philippe Susnjara, head of the French Defense Intelligence and Security Directorate (DRSD) we learn about the “radicalization of certain anti-militarist groups”, with the very interesting consequence of “potentially curbing increases in the rate of production driven by prime contractors in the midst of a war economy”. And just to give a few tips to enthusiasts of the topic, another business journalist added the next day on a state radio station that “it’s the SMEs in the sector that are most exposed. They are more numerous, less protected than the major companies, and often ill-prepared.”

Albig (Germany): sabotaging power before the Easter meal

Network operator EWR received an alarm message at exactly 3:59 a.m. on Easter Saturday night (April 20). The legs of a 20,000-volt high-voltage pylon in Albig (Rhineland-Palatinate) had been deliberately sawed off before it crashed into the local vineyards. The power failure affected the villages of Bermersheim, parts of Ensheim, Armsheim, Flonheim, Bornheim, Lonsheim and a wind farm in the Wörrstadt district.

Somme: beautiful like a wind turbine in flames (France)

Fire: a wind turbine catches fire in the middle of the night in the Somme

Flames in the sky, dozens of meters high: it’s a rare and somewhat impressive sight. Around 11pm on Monday May 5, a wind turbine caught fire at Lafresguimont-Saint-Martin in the Somme region. The fire required the intervention of 27 firefighters, but not to extinguish the blaze, as well as the gendarmerie and Enedis teams. The latter cut off the power supply “to eliminate any risk”, as explained by the SDIS de la Somme.

“On this type of fire, we just set up a safety perimeter to prevent debris from injuring anyone, but we don’t go up, because we can’t access it”, explains the SDIS de la Somme. This is advice from the Ministry of the Interior.

IAATA / Saturday 10 May 2025

Wednesday 7 May, at around 10h30, some plain clothes cops were seen hovering around a car parked in the street.

The name connected to this vehicle is that of one of the 8 people arrested mid-April and sentenced for « introduction into a living space » (Kasbarian law) and « refusal to sign ».

A white van (3 cops inside) was parked right next to the vehicle, another 2 were walking on the pavement.
When they saw that they had been spotted,

Already energy-hungry, data centers have redoubled their appetite with the recent development of generative AI, which requires colossal computing capacities to process the information accumulated in gigantic databases. In 2024, these infrastructures will only account for around 1.5% of the world’s electricity consumption (415 terawatt-hours, TWh), but this has already increased by 12% per year over the last five years. And there’s more to come.

“Electricity demand from data centers worldwide is expected to more than double by 2030 to around 945 TWh, slightly more than Japan’s total electricity consumption today,” according to a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) published on Thursday, April 10. Locally, “a 100-megawatt data center can consume as much electricity as 100,000 households” annually, but tomorrow, “the largest data centers under construction today will consume twenty times as much”, equivalent to the consumption of two million households.

¡Punky Mauri Presente! In memory of Anarchist Mauricio Morales, 22 MAY 2009 -22 MAY 2025

“Arm yourself and be violent, beautifully violent, until everything bursts. Because, remember that any violent action against these promoters of in- equality is plainly justified by the centuries of infinite violence they have subjected us to.
…Arm yourself and combat their terrorism, burn, conspire, sabotage, and be violent, beautifully violent, naturally violent, freely violent.”
Mauri

Mauri, you’re present in every attack in the social war, in every attempt to destroy this society and in every beautiful act of prisoner solidarity….

We won’t and don’t want to forget you.

Your memory pertains to incandescent revolt and to us who hold fire in our hearts and hands.

Switzerland/Germany : Sabotaging capitalist normality – Attack on the railway infrastructure (Border zone between Switzerland and Germany)

Sabotaging capitalist normality – Attack on the rail infrastructure

During the night of 9th April, we set fire to railway signal and electric cables with a number of incendiary devices in various places near Basel.

The cops and the media have kept quiet about our action up until now.

Situated on the borders between three countries with maritime links going as far as the North sea, a highly developed rail and motorway network as well as an airport, the town of Basel is a central logistic node for the flux of goods that keep capitalist normality functioning. Given that we have a very low opinion of this state of affairs, we attacked its infrastructure to put a stop to it, at least for a moment.

Our attack was specifically aimed at the transboundary rail transport of goods and people and the rail link to the port of Kleinhüningen. One of the most important north-south links in Europe passes by Basel. The line between Rotterdam and Genoa belongs to the program Trans-European Transport Network and is constantly under expansion. The three Rhine ports of Basel carry out 10% of Switzerland’s foreign trade. About a third of its imports of petroleum products is loaded on to trains and lorries here. One container in four going to Switzerland passes through the ports of Basel. Loaded with merchandise made starting from raw materials plundered from all over the world or construction material with which more and more motorways, banks and jails are being built, the ground is sealed and everything living is buried under a thick layer of concrete.

(Greece) FOR THE ATTACKS AT VOULIAGMENIS AVE. ON DAFNI AREA IN ATHENS

Small acts of revenge for the murdered people of our class.

Rich people don’t travel by train

Two years after the State – Capitalist Crime of Tempi, two days
after the February 28 uprising, we chose to attack some prominent
representatives of the dictatorship of the capital.

The branches of Elpedison and NRG, “alternative” providers of
electricity and accomplices in robbing the lower classes
through overpricing electricity, saw their storefronts shatter.

Munich (Germany): the beautiful fires of April

Map of the series of “unsolved” incendiary attacks in the city of Munich from 2019 to 2025, published by the local press (Sueddeutsche Zeitung, April 22, 2025)

The wave of repression (searches, summonses and arrests) against the anarchist milieu in Munich at the end of February has not succeeded in putting an end to sabotage against the city’s critical infrastructure, as demonstrated, for example, by the two incendiary attacks carried out in the course of last April.

On Tuesday night, April 9, at around 3:20 a.m., the emergency control center of Deutsche Bahn alerted the police to a cable fire in a manhole in Obermenzing, a district to the northwest of Munich. The arson attack caused extensive damage to the cable systems running alongside the tracks, with 8 of them going up in smoke: three copper cables, three fiber-optic cables and two cables used for train signalling. Rail traffic was severely disrupted throughout southern Germany, and the Nuremberg (Bavaria)-Erfurt (Thuringia) high-speed line in particular had to be closed, as the damage caused all signals in this area to turn red. Deutsche Bahn also had to cancel around 96 trains and divert 16 others.
