ANTI-POLITICAL  ★  INDIVIDUAL REVOLT  ★  INFORMAL ORGANISATION  ★  ATTACK

London is a disneyland for the world’s dominators. The scientific and economic elites and their armies of technicians rule here unopposed – without having to fight against any idea which could challenge the foundations of this society. For this reason, they are free to use this city as a stable base to plan, launch, and profit from one-sided slaughters which subdue the lands where ‘critical resources’ are to be found, whether in Congo (cobalt), Yemen (Saudi oil fields) or Gaza and the West Bank (water and land).

But London is not spared from the relentless sacrifice of life to the economy. The bosses and their enforcers have us exactly where they want us: our time and life sucked dry in forced pointless activity called work and school, made sick by toxic materials in order to sustain addiction to useless objects. This city of exploitation and control is an endless ‘opportunity’ for anyone with money and power and an upgraded, high-tech hell for the rest of us.

The latest ‘upgrade’ here in south London is the proposal to expand the tube network of hyper-speed exploitation down the Old Kent Road to Lewisham – a dirty deal between TFL and finance capital which is already yielding luxury developments, springing up like a rash. Rent, energy, food-price hikes which sow desperation and abject dependence on charity… The oppression of passing the days in mouldy, pest-ridden, flood-prone, flammable boxes… Limitless police-state controls on the neighbourhoods… These are just a few of the attacks being deployed.

Not everyone wants to accommodate themselves, fit in, bow their heads, conform to all this. And among those who want to fight back, not everyone wants to put their trust in political parties, trade unions, pressure groups, activists, university career-critics, community leaders, official organisations, federations, large social movements.

Some make the choice of individual revolt which can spread. These ideas and acts of rebellion have nothing to say to those in power, but instead speak directly to raging hearts. Each one in struggle to unleash their own freedom, breathing life into a self-organised struggle for the freedom of all.

This is what we want to explore in the South London Anarchist Bookfair – with discussions and publications, delving into ideas which are outside of time, outside of measure and popularity, out of control. We want to share and explore our choices in the struggle against power in all its disguises, here and now.

Greece: 10 years later, the memory of Spyros Dravilas is our strength and pride! (Greece)

10 years after his last battle on May 29, 2015 in N. Anchialos, the memory of Spyros Dravilas remains vivid: opening paths to freedom from prisons and fighting his tormentors, expropriating the property of the legal bandits and attacking their structures and their uniformed protectors.

Without any back-up, “dancing on the shark’s wing” with that unparalleled boldness and weapon, that unforgettable smile of his soul, with which he flew forever, breaking the circle of his persecutors, defeating them again!

Spyros, we will remember you forever. Your memory is our strength and pride!

Spyros Christodoulou (Chania Prisons) and comrades

Translated by Act for freedom now!

Actforfree notes: Just like Spiros Dravilas… He had tasted it from the age of 21 when he first came into contact with the harsh reality of incarceration. Since then, with many years on his back as a prisoner, escapee and fugitive up to the age of 34 when he consciously rejected the lengthly deprivation of his freedom.

He refused, like very few can, to see himself walking
through those miserable corridors and cells of the correctional
hell-holes, leaving the last years of an unsubjugated youth in the
modern galleys.

Mauricio Morales & Kyriakos Xymitiris Forever Alive in the Social War (Thessaloniki,Greece)

Banner hanging in Thessaloniki for the 16th anniversary of the death of Comrade Mauricio Morales in Chile

No one will save us from the desert.
Only this promise to ourselves
how we will die enemies
an oath to life.
As long as there are those who are lost
for the purposes of that
which others said was a cause
we too have ignition.
For the conspiracies that died at birth
to those who are missing
to those who were captured
to those who have not forgotten the colour of fire.

In the early hours of May 22, 2009, in Chile, anarchist comrade Mauricio Morales died when a device that he intended to place in the Police Guard School exploded in the bag in which he was carrying it. He was a comrade who gave his life to the anarchist Cause, spreading propaganda, supporting imprisoned activists, and participating in every aspect of the struggle.

At noon on October 31, the anarchist armed fighter Kyriakos Xymitiris lost his life in the battle for social and class liberation when an explosive device detonated inside an apartment on Arkadias Street in the Ampelokipi area of Athens.

Athens, Greece: Taking responsibility for the incendiary attacks on the houses of the politician Maximos Charakopoulos and the cop Giannis Meidanis

We take responsibility for the double attack with low-powered incendiary devices at dawn on 14/05/25 at the entrances of the apartment buildings where the MP of the New Democracy Maximos Charakopoulos and the uniformed scum of the Greek National Police, Giannis Meidanis, reside.

Our moves were not at all accidental as they are a first sign of aggressive solidarity with those arrested for the events at the DAP-NDFK event at the Law School. Our attack had been decided to take place some weeks later. However, we found it necessary to bring it forward because of the events, redefining the climate of fear that Chrysochoidis in unbridled collaboration with the media wants to imbue us with and returning fear to the eyes of those who should be blooming. Because for every visit you make to the homes of your comrades and comrades-in-arms, we will make a visit to yours.

Portland Hillsboro, Oregon (USA) : FIRE AT HILLSBORO DATA CENTER

On Thursday, May 23rd, a thick cloud of putrid black smoke rose over Hillsboro, OR. The smoke was from an early morning fire at one of the massive data centers based in the city. According to local media, the fire originated from batteries inside the Digital Realty (PDX 11) data center. Unfortunately, the flames did not spread to the rest of the data center and the damage was minimal. Firefighters let the fire burn itself out for five hours. The fire caused major disruptions on the web, including big outages to X/Twitter, which was reportedly one of the companies leasing space at the data center. There is currently no public information about the cause of the fire.

Hillsboro, Portland’s Western neighbor, is home to several major data centers that are the engines of digital control and technological domination. Incentivized by tax breaksand lax regulations, Hillsboro (AKA the Silicon Forest) has become an important international hub for the tech industry. Data centers and chip manufacturer like Intel have expanded their footprint there in recent years, and the AI boom is likely to bring in more new construction. This rapid expansion requires hugely increased power supply; the upgrade of existing transmission infrastructure, the installation of new “green” energy facilities in Eastern Oregon, and even proposals to construct nuclear power plants along the Columbia river. Portland General Electric (PGE) planned on clearcutting several acres in Forest Park to make way for new high-voltage pylons. From Against the Silicon Forest: “These power lines are designed to bring power to the Silicon Forest, most notably given the timing of this expansion, to Intel, whose largest operating hub lies just a short distance west of Forest Park.” The project is currently in limbo, awaiting the next action from PGE (PGE can choose to appeal the land use ruling and win approval from the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals).

EDITORIAL

We have entered a condition in which the war rhetorics, actions and policies are proliferating and presented by the dominant groups as a ‘natural’ outcome – for some of its actors inevitable and for others legitimate – of the immediately preceding era, that of fear and imperilment. Now, the economic plunder, the strategies of customs tariffs and inflation, with all the techno-scientific controls at their side, are expressed in warlike terms.

URGENT CALL FOR SOLIDARITY WITH COMRADE PAOLO TODDE ON HUNGER STRIKE (Sardinia,Italy)

The Sardinian comrade Paolo Todde, already struck by repression in the first half of 2000 in the investigation against the old anarchist social centre FRARIA in Cagliari, remanded in custody on a robbery charge since 23 October 2024 and already imprisoned a few years ago on a charge of armed robbery, began a hunger strike on 25 April along with other prisoners to protest against the unlivable conditions in the prison in Uta (Sardinia).

The intervention of the prisoners’ guarantors with their empty useless promises caused the collective strike to end after less than a week. Paolo decided to begin it again on May 8 with the clear intention of carrying it out to the bitter end. We point out that Paolo is over sixty years old and started the hunger strike with a body weight of only 61 kg. Paolo shares a thousand dreams with us: a free Sardinia, hatred against jails and the society that produces them and has never been indifferent to the violence and prevarications of the colonial occupation forces.

SAINT-CHAMOND (LOIRE) France : « (A)NTI-TESLA CAMPAIGN: BORNE TO BURN »

Attacks against Tesla cars : at Saint-Chamond,
des bornes calcinées

Le Progrès, 30 March 2025

In the car park of the Leclerc centre in Saint-Chamond, situated on the ZAC of the Varizelle, claims are made by floor-marking: « Anti-Tesla campaign, Borne to Burn ». The dozen Superchargers of the factory of Elon Musk were vandalised during the night of Wednesday 26 March to Thursday 27 March at around 4am.

Placed somewhere away from the large surface, under a sun roof, they were subjected to willful damage by fire. Two Superchargers were totally destroyed and the ten others turned out to be unusable having been struck by the flames. This nocturnal destruction – « manifestly targeted action » – is object of a police investigation to establish the technical and scientific findings and relies on video surveillance in the attempt to identify the author(s).

A first in Europe which Saint-Chamond would happily have done without

Right next to some Superchargers of an American company are some transformers aimed at supplying electricity and six other electric charging points of the Ionity mark that had not been vandalised. « This reprehensible act cannot be justified by the crystalisation of the behaviour of the Tesla CEO. These arsons are considered crimes and their authors will have to answer for these misdeeds », adds a police source.

Ambérieu-en-Bugey and surrounding area (Ain), France : Night paint action

 Rebellyon / Sunday 4 May 2025

Night paint action near the Bugey nuclear station.
Stop the relaunch, stop the new EPR.
No nuclear here or anywhere else!

This week of April 2025 we expressed our opposition to the construction of 2 additional reactors at the nuclear power plant of Bugey on walls and bridges of the Ambérieu-en-Bugey region.

Anarchist prisoner Marianna Manoura : Those Who Fuel Violence Are the First to Condemn Those Who Struggle. (Greece)

On 9/5, the extension of my pre-trial detention and that of my other co-defendants has been officially received. However, the decision was made months earlier, on 31/10, when the anti-terrorist police instructed the investigator to attribute the maximum charges to a highly inflated indictment.

Nevertheless, I will not focus on the decision of the Athens Misdemeanor Court Council – what council would take responsibility for releasing a defendant of the anti-terrorism police? – as well as the proposal and argumentation of the Athens Misdemeanor Prosecutor, Sotiris Bougioukos, who even rushed a whole month before the end of the semester to prove his obedience to the anti-terrorism law by assembling and proposing an abortive report, both for me and for the rest of the co-defendants. By rehashing the words of the anti-terrorist police, he simply repeats its position, revealing his indifference and the predetermined strategy followed by the dictatorship.

On the case of the bomb explosion in a bank in Thessaloniki where my former co-defendant S. Paraskevaidou lost her life – Fotis Tziotzis (Greece)

“Lies were told that even they themselves were ashamed, since they were not ashamed of the mouths that told them.”

All these days I have been watching the vile and unsubstantiated ridiculousness from the media slugs.

At first I thought that because of their low intelligence, I thought that these people could not put the facts in the right order. But now I now realize that some higher ups in the system are using them to shape-distort the truth and facts. It is a very dangerous and standard tactic used by the government media to mislead the public and impose their political agenda. Without of course in any way comparing cases, it is the same people who dare to slander the relatives of the victims of Tempi and cover up the case. It’s us they think we’re easy targets they’ll stick to; but are we?

On the 3rd of May 2025, at 5 am in the morning, Snizana Paraskevaidou lost her life because of the premature detonation of an explosive device she was placing outside a branch of the National Bank of Greece in Thessaloniki. The tragic death of this comrade lead to a widespread media terror-lust and so far, two arrests and the search of the cell of imprisoned anarchist comrade Fotis Tziotzis. We recognise and remember Snizana as a fighter and a heroine who died in battle, whose name and life is not forgotten.

Re-Opening of Meuterei – in memory of Kyriakos Xymitiris (Berlin,Germany)

By reopening Meuterei one more time we want to bring to the present those collective momentsthat brought closer the idea that other worlds are possible. Also we choose Meuterei becauseKyriakos was part of this collective. One of our spaces that got evicted 4 years ago. A placethat was not only a bar, it was a place of collective meeting and sharing; a place where social and political events where organized; a place to celebrate our friendship and comradeship.

With this action we want to commemorate that for a long time Kyriakos walked together with us in the struggles of Berlin. Together we defended our selforganized spaces and we fought against the process of gentrification that consum this city and changes it social geography benefiting some, while expelling the poor and marginalized people. Through Interkiezionale we confronted this process fighting together with other collectives against evictions. We stood against the establishment of, so called, danger zones that only pretend to secure while oppress those who don’t fit in the standards of a hipster- and touristified city We fought in the streets to reclaim our subversive and political ideas through the defence of Liebig34, Syndikat, Potse, Meuterei, Kopi Wagenplatz and Rigaer 94. We remember those times with nostalgia, but also with the powerful thoughts that if one time we were able to confront the State and his mercenaries with fierceness, we can and we will do it again.
