(Chile) On the Demo for Comrade Mauricio Morales and the 81 Prisoners Killed in the Fire at San Miguel Prison

10/05/2025:

Against all odds… In memory of anarchist comrade Mauricio Morales and the 81 prisoners killed by the state in the fire at San Miguel prison.

Without leaders, nor managers, without fear of rain or police snooping, with anarchist pride high, we gathered different individuals in front of San Miguel prison to remember Punki Mauri. Remembering it right there, in front of the jailers, spreading its memory and continuing to sow offensive positions against Power is what we desire and what we do.

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR INCENDIARY ATTACK AT A COP’S HOUSE

The landscape is constantly changing. Global and domestic developments constantly bring us before the lens of war, filling us with fear and uncertainty. Redistribution of wealth, “neighboring” wars, inflation and so many other words that constantly pound our minds in daily news headlines. Nothing can remind us of the golden decades of yesterday while the future looks bleak. Greece, through its strategic geopolitical position, is not absent from the sphere of global developments. As a member country of N.A.T.O it serves its part for the great powers, while at the same time, trying to combat “domestic enemies”, it tightens its repressive measures.

In recent years, we have observed an extreme form of escalation of the arrogant violence of the state and its institutions. One political
scandal follows another, while the state-parastate connection is more evident than ever. The cost of political responsibility is an illusory dream of the past, as everything is unfolding before our eyes. Trafficking circuits, pedophile circuits, illicit construction deals,
natural disasters that reveal corruption in infrastructure projects,
privatization of state wealth, photographic laws for the persecution of activists and so much more that weave the web of a deep state, which is intertwined in all its individual parts and creates a mafia state.

SAINT-JEAN-DE-MAURIENNE (SAVOIE) : SABOTAGE of LYON-TURIN  TGV construction site

[Received by mail, 9 April 2025]

Because it’s beautiful

The mountain has neither a mouth nor limbs to defend itself.

At the beginning of this spring 2025 at Saint Jean de Maurienne, severe damage was done to the conveyors transporting entrails sackaged from the mountain, as well as some building machinery, to put them out of their harmful action. This damage was accompanied by the messages « TELT fuck off »* and « Useless Project ».

We opposed ourselves to the new Lyon Turin TGV line and claim this damage whose aim is clear: to slow down the building sites, discourage the project managers and encourage opposition. Continue reading SAINT-JEAN-DE-MAURIENNE (SAVOIE) : SABOTAGE of LYON-TURIN  TGV construction site

(Thessaloniki,Greece) Attack against ATM ,dedicate the action to comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris by anarchists

In a situation where state repression is intensifying at all levels,
cops are everywhere checking compliance with the doctrine of “law and order”; cameras are popping up left and right in the context of both social control and the defense of property; public space is shrinking more and more; and the condition of general sterilization of our lives is established, it is our duty to attack with all our means, causing cracks in the sovereignty of the state.

As anarchists, we have not stopped pursuing – step by step – the fundamental destruction of the existent, through a multifaceted struggle. A struggle that starts from the smallest and ends in the largest, with Anarchy as its goal. A struggle, on the path of which, comrades have gone through torture and prison, while others have perished with its flame within them.

NO SQUATTER IN PRISON! Campaign for the court expenses of Koukaki Squats Community (Athens,Greece)

It was March 2017 when we first opened the door of 45 Matrozou str. and began repairing the building so that it could house our struggles, desires, needs and bodies. And when these, a few months later, could no longer fit in one building we opened two more buildings that were rotting abandoned in the neighborhood of Koukaki, 21 Panaitoliou str. and the Blue House (3 Arvali str.). This is how Koukaki Squats Community was created in the center of Athens.

From then until 2020, Koukaki Squats Community had been a political community that combined anarchist struggle with communal life. The doors of its houses were open for those who wished to fight back against state violence and injustice, for people who needed shelter or wished to use its public structures, for those who sought a collective way of life. It was also an open political and social space accessible to the inhabitants of one of the most gentrified neighborhoods in Athens. Τhe community participated in struggles of the squatting and anti-fascist movement, in solidarity with political prisoners, against gender violence, patriarchy, racism, exploitation of nature, against the gentrification of the neighborhood and the privatization of the nearby Philopappos Hill. In addition to political assemblies and events that were hosted, a number of public structures were operating in the houses, such as a lending library, public baths & laundries and a free clothing bazaar.

The Trial of Ruslan Sidiki in Ryazan

Tuesday May 13, a panel of judges from the 2nd Western District Military Court began substantive hearings in Ryazan in the case against anarchist Ruslan Sidiki, who is charged under “terrorism” articles for two attacks on military infrastructure

Ruslan Sidiki was brought into the courtroom in shackles, which were not removed even inside the defendant’s cage. There were 10 bailiffs present in the room, some of them armed with rifles. As one attendee noted: “The level of security was like the Kremlin.” Prosecutor Boris Motorin requested that the trial be held behind closed doors, claiming that it would include “methods of conducting terrorist activities” and details about the Dyagilevo military airbase, which Sidiki allegedly attempted to attack. He also argued that investigative techniques might be disclosed. However, defense attorney Igor Popovsky and Sidiki himself objected, stating that the case materials contain no state secrets. Judge Oleg Shishov denied the prosecutor’s request but banned photo, video, and audio recordings.

During the first hearing:
-The prosecutor read out the charges.
-Four representatives of the victims were questioned.
-Part of the written case materials was read.

The Trial of Ruslan Sidiki — Day 2, May 14

The hearing ran from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a break for lunch. The prosecutor read out written case materials, and three witnesses were questioned. Two of them were local residents who could not provide any significant testimony.

Anarchist Alexey Rozhkov sentenced to 16 years for setting fire to a military enlistment office

Rozhkov carried out the third known arson attack on a military enlistment office following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army. He committed the act on March 11, 2022, as a form of protest and a way to draw attention to the situation. In an interview Ivan Astashin conducted with Alexey in December 2022 — when he had managed to flee to Kyrgyzstan — the anarchist explained his motivation:

“I just understood that I couldn’t stay indifferent. (…) Any war means death for ordinary, simple people. War in the 21st century seems completely alien to me. Especially with such absurd reasons [they gave]. We annexed Crimea in 2014, and even then I said it was all done in vain. Crimea is not ours and never will be. There will be consequences. And that’s exactly what happened.

Bryansk : On the night of 18 April, Yevgeny Rytikov, head of the design bureau of the Bryansk Electromechanical Plant, was liquidated in Bryansk. He was responsible for the development and modernisation of REB and electronic intelligence systems for the Russian army, including the Krasukha complex.

His car was blown up with an IED. The explosive device under the bottom of the car went off as the man was getting into the cabin with his colleague. Both died on the spot.

Samara region

Food Liberated (Hochelaga a neighborhood in Montreal, Quebec, Canada)

Hochelaga, April 30, 9pm

Tonight, people engaged in combative mutual aid. Food should be free, as with all essential items. The scourge of capitalism has made it so that necessities such as food and housing are things to be earned rather than inalienable basic needs.

Today we are making food free in our own way, by liberating sustenance to redistribute amongst the community. And we will do it again. The state apparatus may try to stop us, and in doing so, show its true colors. The government and the corporate interest it serves are not your friends. They will sooner let you starve than sacrifice their bottom line. Eat freely!

Number of the day: a 50% increase of physical attacks on the war economy

The news came to us from a specialist journal that not many read, other than those interested, and from someone who is usually more discreet, but who felt that the time was serious enough to sound the alarm.

In the April 14, 2025 issue of the monthly magazine L’Usine Nouvelle, an interview with General Philippe Susnjara, head of the French Defense Intelligence and Security Directorate (DRSD) we learn about the “radicalization of certain anti-militarist groups”, with the very interesting consequence of “potentially curbing increases in the rate of production driven by prime contractors in the midst of a war economy”. And just to give a few tips to enthusiasts of the topic, another business journalist added the next day on a state radio station that “it’s the SMEs in the sector that are most exposed. They are more numerous, less protected than the major companies, and often ill-prepared.”

Somme: beautiful like a wind turbine in flames (France)

Fire: a wind turbine catches fire in the middle of the night in the Somme

Flames in the sky, dozens of meters high: it’s a rare and somewhat impressive sight. Around 11pm on Monday May 5, a wind turbine caught fire at Lafresguimont-Saint-Martin in the Somme region. The fire required the intervention of 27 firefighters, but not to extinguish the blaze, as well as the gendarmerie and Enedis teams. The latter cut off the power supply “to eliminate any risk”, as explained by the SDIS de la Somme.

“On this type of fire, we just set up a safety perimeter to prevent debris from injuring anyone, but we don’t go up, because we can’t access it”, explains the SDIS de la Somme. This is advice from the Ministry of the Interior.

IAATA / Saturday 10 May 2025

Wednesday 7 May, at around 10h30, some plain clothes cops were seen hovering around a car parked in the street.

The name connected to this vehicle is that of one of the 8 people arrested mid-April and sentenced for « introduction into a living space » (Kasbarian law) and « refusal to sign ».

A white van (3 cops inside) was parked right next to the vehicle, another 2 were walking on the pavement.
When they saw that they had been spotted,

Already energy-hungry, data centers have redoubled their appetite with the recent development of generative AI, which requires colossal computing capacities to process the information accumulated in gigantic databases. In 2024, these infrastructures will only account for around 1.5% of the world’s electricity consumption (415 terawatt-hours, TWh), but this has already increased by 12% per year over the last five years. And there’s more to come.

“Electricity demand from data centers worldwide is expected to more than double by 2030 to around 945 TWh, slightly more than Japan’s total electricity consumption today,” according to a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) published on Thursday, April 10. Locally, “a 100-megawatt data center can consume as much electricity as 100,000 households” annually, but tomorrow, “the largest data centers under construction today will consume twenty times as much”, equivalent to the consumption of two million households.
