Athens, Greece: POLITICAL KAFENIO STRUCTURE AND FIRST DISCUSSIONS AT ZIZANIA SQUAT

The Zizania political kafeneio is an open autonomous structure that aims to create inside of the squat a favourable space for in-depth political discussions – understanding that the assembly format is often not the most accessible neither the most suitable for such purpose. We envision an open space where diverse groups and individuals will come to meet, exchange and share ideas, questions, experiences, political thoughts, and debate topics relevant to them, to the space and the wider political context in a respectful and inclusive environment.
We will start with a first event on Tuesday 14/12 and then intend to hold similar events on a regular basis throughout the next months. Regarding the format, we aim for loosely moderated discussions impulsed whether with short introductions by groups or individuals, open questions, documentary screenings, brochure presentations, workshops and whatever other format people think could lead to fruitful discussions. As we want to give space for continuity from one event to the next, we are proposing umbrella topics that would cover a few events in a row, with suggested sub-thematics for each.

Patras, Greece: Taking responsibility for ambushing cops

10 March 2021 we set up an ambush with bins waiting for the cops in the Aguia area. When we saw them from a distance of 20 meters, we came out of the school and threw stones, and 2 molotov cocktails, the police car put the car directly into reverse and left the area, later a DIAS team chased us but lost us in the alley. A cop on the street also got hit by a fire from a balcony and then we burned his shirt.
P.S. Flame, you idiot, watch your mouth. 5 times we’ve chased you and once we beat you if you remember correctly back in the 4th E.P.A. when you walked in and then ran and hid behind cops.

Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône (Bouches-du-Rhône), France: Attack on wind turbines

State speeches and the media show on climate change accompany and legitimize a new transformation of the technological system.
Diversifying and multiplying energy sources in order to perpetuate exploitation and control: revival of nuclear power, “solar farms”, “wind farms” to feed telework, robotics, the internet of things, electric cars…
One night at the end of October, while the newspapers were talking about COP26 and the energy crisis, we sabotaged three wind turbines of the Port Saint Louis du Rhône wind farm. After opening the ventilation grid, we set fire to the cables and electrical installations located below.
For direct action.

(Glasgow,Scotland) Banner Drop at the Greek Consulate for the 13 years since the state murder of anarchist Alexis Grigoropoulos in Greece(en,Gàidhlig,gr)

[GLASGOW] Banner Drop at the Greek Consulate for the 13 years since the state murder of anarchist Alexis Grigoropoulos.
‘A bullet in the heart of Alexandros to close the circle of the statist machine’s omnipotence. A bloodstain on the Messolonghiou pedestrian street to open the circle of rebellion that wrecked the legal order and sowed chaos and anarchy in all cities throughout Greece.’
– Nikos Romanos, Requiem for a Journey of No Return.
As of today, 6/12/2021, it has been 13 years since the Greek state murdered the anarchist Alexis Grigoropoulos. Alexis was shot by two cops, E. Korkoneas and V. Saraliotis, in the neighbourhood of Exarcheia, following minor clashes with the police. As soon as the news of Alexis’s murder broke, a spontaneous insurrection began. Protests, riots, expropriations and occupations of public buildings were but some of the collective expressions of rage. Despite the attempts of state and capital to depoliticise the murder, we must not forget that Alexis was killed because of his political beliefs – he challenged in practice the authority of the police and, by extension, that of the state. This is the violence faced every day by those whose existence the state deems undesirable, those who are a threat to their social order.

Operation Sibilla: solidarity communique from Bure (France)

Translated by Act for freedom now! via: Anarchist Bure Cross

—————————–

A new repressive operation, named “Sibilla”, is targeting anarchists in Italy.
At dawn on November 11, there were numerous raids in different cities (Cagliari, Cosenza, Cremona, Genoa, Lecce, Massa, Perugia, Rome, Taranto, Spoleto and Viterbo) and 6 companions were served with judicial surveillance warrants. Alfredo Cospito, already imprisoned in Terni, was given a preventive detention order (sic!). Michele, companion from Spoleto, has been placed under house arrest with an electronic bracelet. Four other companions are under various forms of judicial control (forbidden to leave the region they live in, obligation to report to the police station three times a week).
The comrades are charged with the crime provided for by article 270 bis (association with the purpose of terrorism and subversion of the democratic order), because of the design, printing and distribution, also by digital means, of the anarchist newspaper Vetriolo, as well as for tagging walls with content considered as incitement, in addition to a case of damage to property belonging to others. In addition, they are charged under art. 414 (provocation to crimes and misdemeanors), for the drafting and dissemination of communiqués with content inciting the commission of crimes against the State, with the aim of terrorism and subversion of the democratic order.

Thessaloniki, Greece: Taking responsibility for an attack on a bank by Μητροπολιτική Ομάδα Καταστροφών [Metropolitan Catastrophes Group]

via: athens.indymedia translated by Act for freedom now!
6/12 marks the 13th anniversary of the murder of the anarchist student Alexandros Grigoropoulos by the cops Korkoneas and Saraliotis. “Normality” died overnight. The straw that broke the camel’s back led thousands of pupils, students, migrants, workers from all over the country to take to the streets, to violent demonstrations, to mass strikes, to attacks against State and capitalist targets.
December 2008 became the vehicle of an uprising that gave hope to those oppressed and excluded by the State and capital. Overnight, after years of social “stability”, the proletarian riots of December reopened the stakes of social resistance and revolution in post-communist Greece. The 2008 uprising, the occupations, the clashes, but above all the realization that we have nothing to lose and the perception that the enemy is not invulnerable, left an important legacy for the resistances in the decade of repression, poverty and exploitation that followed.
Today, 13 years later, in times of crisis, the State is stepping up its attack on those from below. Having abandoned the public health system in the midst of a pandemic, it has chosen the path of repression. It beats up students, abolishes university asylum, targets squats, bans demonstrations, unleashes a wave of persecution against anarchists and militants without evidence with the sole aim of cutting off any prospect of uprisings in the here and now.

Athens, Greece: Taking responsibility for the attack on the Acropolis police station by comrades

via: athens.indymedia.Translated by act for freedom now!
On Saturday 27 November we attacked the Acropolis police station with Molotov cocktails. At the time of the attack the guard cop and 4 under cover cops sitting in front of the police station, at the sound of the cry “murderers” scampered and hid in the building while we set fire to the guard post and the entrance of the police station.
We haven’t said the last word yet, these are Alexi’s days.
It is not remembrance, or melancholy nostalgia. It is the very idea of rebellion against our oppressors and exploiters. It is the fiery flame of yesterday that drives the gestures of resistance of today.
It is not a desire for repetition, but the very reality of exploitation, death politics, totalitarian control, segregation and total state management of the pandemic.
It is the intensity of oppression, of the suffocating present that arms us with the will, the desire, the strength to attack the state apparatus. It is the December 2008 uprising that fills us with the faith that the situation can and must change and that those from below can come back to the forefront by claiming their own lives.

Toulouse, France: Banner and tags for the Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR)

“GOLDEN CAGES REMAIN CAGES”
“STATE TRANSPHOBIA, TRANSPHOBIA IN OUR HEADS = DEATH”
“RETALIATION, REVENGE, ATTACK (AGAINST GENDER)”
The “transfriendly” governments use our struggles as progressive vindication to continue their same transphobic, capitalist, colonialist shit… Their so-called integration into this system can in no way be liberating and emancipating. It gives legitimacy to the State to reinforce its power and control our lives and bodies.

Spain – Barcelona 27F – Bail conditions fixed for imprisoned comrades

We receive and spread (a partial translation of communiques received):
On 10th November the cost of bail release for six anarchist comrades, in pretrial detention in Barcelona (C.P. Brians 1) for 8 months, has been set at 40,000 euros for each one! They are accused of illicit association and of having acted with violent acts in a coordinated way, such as burning a cop van on La Rambla during the ten days of clashes in Barcelona in February, in the context of the demonstrations for the liberation of rapper Pablo Hazel.

Italy – The wrong way up

A text handed out on the day of protest against the green pass, price increases, repression and the exploitation of labour in Saronno on 13th November
THE WRONG WAY UP
For several weeks the national media have been reporting statements from the Milan police station talking of infiltrators, extremists, etc. In this witch-hunt climate the homes of three comrades were raided a few weeks ago in Saronno, in search of mobile phones and computers, with the purpose of finding traces of Telegram groups, messages, leaflets, flyers.
In fact, for several months spontaneous mass demonstrations have been forming and spreading in almost all the city squares in Italy. The fuse was the compulsory green pass to access workplaces and social life in general.

Guadeloupe: blockades, looting and shooting at cops during riots against the health pass

Violence in Guadeloupe: the State imposes a curfew in the face of riots against the health pass
Le Parisien, November 20, 2021 (excerpts)
On Friday, the prefect of Guadeloupe Alexandre Rochatte announced the introduction of a curfew between 6 p.m. and 5 a.m. with immediate effect, up until Tuesday, November 23, “given the social movements underway in the region and acts of vandalism” having as a starting point the mobilization against the health pass and the mandatory vaccination of carers against Covid-19.
Roads and accesses to the CHU blocked, buildings and vehicles set on fire, schools closed… The anti-pass and anti-vax discontent that has been going on for five days, led by a collective of union and citizen organizations, is now coupled with violence committed by rioters. After a particularly violent night from Thursday to Friday, schools remained closed on Friday and, due to numerous roadblocks, activity is slowing down.
Another “very agitated” night

Anarchist publication RUMOER #5 winter 21-22

The riots in Rotterdam (and shooting people by the cops there) happened just too late to still be analyzed or celebrated or…. But, luckily enough tasty things did make it to the paper. Good tips to destroy your mobile phone, a callout to refuse the corona pass, and also a conversation on the anarcho-blocks at demonstrations, ideas on housing struggle and of course lots of news from far away and really nearby. It has not been quiet in the world of pandemics, disasters, control, and exploitation, so we shouldn’t be quiet either.
Here it is: #5 English digitaal
If you subscribe to our mailing list, we will make you happy with a mail every time there is a new RUMOER (no worries, never more than 3 times a year). And if you send us money we can right away start making the next edition of this sweet magazine. The RUMOER will once again be spread on the street in non-corona-proof pick-up spots and also in the better bookshops or (a)social centres. And if you do not find it there, you could print it or send us an email with your order (the amount you want and in which language). Order some extra to share with the people around you, so you have something to talk about. Send your request to: RUMOER at RISEUP dot NET.
See ya later,
For a hot winter, a big kiss

Cologne (Germany): Fire for Strabag

via: attaque Translated by Act for freedom  now!
de.indymedia.org / Sunday 28 November 2021
Last night we targeted the Strabag site in Cologne and freed it from a car.
We chose Strabag as a target because this company has been profiting from the climate crisis for years and is a major contributor to it, as it builds motorways all over Germany, including the construction of the A49 motorway. In order to build this motorway, part of the Dannenrod forest has to be cleared. Here too we have seen once again how the state decides by brutal means, against the interests of the citizens and for the profit of the big capitalists.
Since the 1st of October, the hot clearing season has started all over Germany.
