Against the repression against anarchists in Indonesia

In the past few years we have seen a massive crackdown on anarchist individuals and cells by the State. Though in some cases it was arbitrary arrests of individuals, the recent state-sponsored studies on anarchist activity in Indonesia has been brought to our attention.

It is because of these reasons and also to secure our comrades that are already targeted by the State that we need better infrastructure of resistance in this era of social control and surveillance. The necessity of this proposed solidarity infrastructure is part of our continual revolt against the state and its apparatus. We are not paranoid or overwhelmed by fear, in fact the opposite, we want to strike harder than before and we want to get better at storming the heavens. Again the repressive international security state moves against the
anarchist tendencies who fight to establish and maintain their existence as a threat to the system. The anarchists in Indonesia who are principled enough to put their words into actions are our comrades in struggle. In an increased atmosphere of anti-anarchist repression against the movement in Indonesia, alongside the criminalization of the Anarchist Black Cross group there, we call for international solidarity and closer contact for mutual aid and common projects, to aid anarchists under repression and help support anarchist infrastructures.

Call for International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners 2023 // 23 – 30 August

The world is on fire. The climate crisis is getting worse and worse. Instead of masks against Covid-19, people now have to wear masks against smoke from forest fires. At the same time huge areas getting flooded due to heavy rain caused by the ongoing pollution of the environment. Nothing of that is caused by individual decisions of the people. It is not cause by buying the wrong product in the supermarket. It is caused by the systematic exploitation of nature and humanity. Governments and big corporations are the ones steering us into a climate catastrophe that, at this point, seems to be unstoppable.

Governments and big corporations that created a world where wealthy people are more important than others. This was especially visible while the global media had nothing better to do than talking for 5 days about a missing submarine filled with 5 rich people, while hundreds of others are dying in the mediterranean sea during their try to get chances for a better life.

July 1st is moving day in Montreal. It’s always chaotic, but with the threat of Bill 31 rent reforms the situation may become far worse.

We are told there is a housing crisis, a term used to avoid naming those responsible. Why is housing scarce, unsafe, expensive, and precarious in Montreal?

Greedy landlords who renovict, charge damage deposits and “finder’s fees” to maximise profits.
To avoid rental laws and increase profit landlords convert housing into short-term rentals (e.g. Airbnb). This caused several deaths in the spring.
New housing is built for investors, not residents. While low-income housing is “impossible”, dozens of towers with luxury housing are built, units sold to investors just to sit empty and appreciate in value.

Switch off – Call for revolt

The certainty that the current system will result in the collapse of the massively damaged ecosystem has already inspired countless people to resist. Tens of thousands are taking to the streets against the “business as usual” of the capitalist machinery, people are resisting the destructive large-scale projects en masse, the infrastructure of the system is being blocked and courageous fighters are setting fire to the machines that are being used to rob them of the very basis of life. What we need in the struggle against the destruction of nature and the resulting social misery is the shared pursuit of real revolutionary rupture and freedom of all. Pursuing an initiative that rejects all compromises and cosmetic corrections of the state and brings about a transformation of our social relations. Because the destruction of the planet by the neoliberal economic system is inextricably linked to patriarchal patterns of thought, racism and colonialism. The initiative for this must necessarily come from below. From the struggles of the excluded. From the struggles of those who enact a self-organized solidarity against the state’s promises of salvation. From the struggles of those who see that there can be no compromises in the fight against the systemic destruction of the biosphere.

We should also be aware that we cannot completely prevent the gradual collapse of a massively damaged ecosystem. Nor the loss of biodiversity. Nor the depletion of resources. We will not be able to prevent the climate catastrophe, because we are already in the middle of it. Admitting this – without any doomsday pathos – does not paralyze us. On the contrary, it should open up, for us and our contexts, the question of what our lives and our revolutionary struggles might look like in the future.

Often, certain actions seek a media echo and are therefore planned accordingly. We don’t know why none of the media have reported on our act so far. It’s puzzling, and it would be interesting to know whether there is some kind of silencing imposed by the forces of order or politics (?) to prevent the dissemination of such opportunities for action (?). It’s doubtful that acts of sabotage attract no media interest, but we can only speculate in this regard.

Our real motivation for our project, however, is not media attention, but concrete attack and destruction. That’s why we placed three time-delay incendiary devices under the cables, the computer cabinet and the electrical distribution cabinet of the antenna. This happened on the night of August 3, 2023.

Modane (Savoie): arson attack on the Lyon-Turin high-speed train construction site

Five pieces of construction equipment were damaged by an arson attack on Saturday July 29 in Modane, Savoie. Around 11 p.m., some fifteen firefighters were mobilized to the scene of the incident, a site belonging to the French-Italian state-owned company Telt (Tunnel euralpin Lyon Turin), which is responsible for building the Lyon-Turin rail link.

Bangs from exploding machine tires were heard. The Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne Gendarmerie, in charge of the investigation, said there was no doubt that the fire was deliberate. Four points of ignition were identified on wooden pallets placed under the burnt-out vehicles.

Hamburg, the precious cables that run along the tracks

At around 3:30 am on Tuesday July 18 in Elmshorn (20 km north of Hamburg), two gazebos were deliberately set on fire in the immediate vicinity of the tracks. The fire also damaged cables along the tracks.

At around 6.50 a.m., the fire-fighting operation came to an end, and the site of the blaze was cordonned off by the forensic police. Total damage is estimated at 30,000 euros, while the destruction of the cable running the rail system caused widespread disruption to not only regional, but also long-distance train traffic between Hamburg and Kiel until the afternoon.

Sometimes it is enough to know how to look.
Sometimes the signs are all there.
Sometimes it is enough to not remain dazzled by the glitter of the shells on the bottom.

The tsunami is a strange phenomenon. It is perhaps the most predictable in the world. An earthquake moves thousands of tons of water. A wall of energy slowly moves toward the coast. The sea level drops by several meters.
It would be so easy to notice and take refuge in the mountains, in the shelter, to understand how to resist the impact of the wave. Yet the disappearing water attracts the curious. Everyone has her own profit to seek in the sands of the bottom. Everyone has a pearl that dazzles him. Until the water arrives and sweeps everything away.

Last Tuesday the 25th, at dawn, we attacked a van belonging to the company Indra near the neighborhood of Vallcarca with our favorite materials: gasoline and fire.
Indra, an arms manufacturer, is the technical part of the development of state geopolitical and economic interests.

Numerous contracts with the Spanish Ministry of Defense demonstrate its participation in military armament projects as well as its control of 80% of the Sociedad Española de Misiles, the Spanish subsidiary of the main European missile manufacturer.

Today, the military industry has adopted a new image that departs from that of the military staging a coup d’état to a kinder one, of friendly and smiling professional mercenaries who, together with their suppliers, respond to a social demand for security.

Subsequently, Francisco’s defense team intervened, who, supported by the fact that the comrade had assumed his responsibility in the attacks some months ago, appealed for the reclassification of the charges presented by the Prosecutor’s Office, seeking to reduce the years of the sentence. They requested for what happened in the 54th Police Station of Huechuraba to be classified as injuries and not as attempted murder, for the unexploded package against Hinzpeter to be reclassified as simple and not aggravated attempted murder and for the attacks against the Tánica Building to not be classified as terrorist acts. In addition, they requested the incorporation of the legal principle of Non bis un idem, which consists of not trying one person more than once for the same crime. Monica’s defense seeks acquittal on all charges against her.

During the first day, a solidarity rally was held with the comrades outside the Santiago Justice Center.

It is with a heavy heart and hazy skies we announce that 2 different pipeline valves were turned off along the Line 5 route on Anishinaabae land in the great lakes region.This was done on the 13th anniversary of the Kalamazoo River oil spill.This was the 2nd largest inland oil spill in amerikkkan history, dumping 1,000,000 gallons of tar sands crude oil into the river and causing untold damage to the water, land and those who live on it.

Currently, Enbridge is preparing to construct a concrete tunnel beneath the waters of the so-called Great Lakes to house a dual pipeline system in order to increase flow rates and carry even more tar sands from the lands of the north to refineries in the south.The Straits tunnel project is meant to replace a 70 year old pipe that is hastily secured to the bottom of the lake bed, even free floating in some areas.

A Canadian is facing federal charges after authorities alleged he shot a gun at an electricity substation in western North Dakota.

A person appeared Wednesday, July 12, in U.S. District Court in Bismarck on one count each of destruction of an energy facility, “possession of a firearm by an illegal alien” and “possession of ammunition by an illegal alien.” His trial is scheduled for September.

Carrara, Italy : REPRESSIVE OPERATION AGAINST THE ANARCHIST PAPER BEZMOTIVNY

August, the State, through the public prosecution of Genoa (in the figure of prosecutor Federico Manotti) and the DIGOS of La Spezia, carried out yet another repressive operation against the anarchist movement. Their aim is to silence any revolutionary desire and aspiration – as already happened with “anatianarchist laws” over a hundred years ago.

Ten anarchists have been accused in this investigation including five comrades of Carrara for whom the prosecutor had requested imprisonment, which the judge for preliminary investigations Riccardo Ghio changed to four house arrests with full restrictions, followed by five forced residences with curfew, and one comrade with no restrictions. One of the four comrades under house arrest was ordered to be taken to prison as he did not have a certificate of residence: so Luigi has been transferred to the prison of La Spezia.

As well as the house searches the historic anarchist place in Carrara, Anarchist Cultural Circle “Gogliardo Fiaschi”, was also searched. Magazines, books, leaflets, posters and digital material were confiscated.
