Call for a nationwide demonstration on Saturday 25 July 2026 in Argos in response to the police-perpetrated, racist murder of Theodoros (Greece)

‘They killed him. Now his little body is kept alive only by machines, and he has seven bullets in his head. He was killed in a very brutal manner. The doctors say that bullets were used which are banned for the police. Those bullets explode inside the body as they pass through. The doctors removed two bullets; three remain in his brain. He’s suffering from external and internal bleeding and has two huge holes on one side and the other. I can’t see the back. Three bullets exploded and shattered into tiny pieces inside. And it happened – you know what happened… it turned to mush inside. I think his brain stopped working.”
The words of Theodoros’s mother about her murdered son.

Thodoris Zavradinos Karambampas from Argos was seriously injured in the early hours of Wednesday 8 July 2026 by police gunfire, as officers from the Special Anti-Crime Unit (OPKE) pursued him and ultimately executed him because he failed to stop at a traffic checkpoint whilst driving his car. Thodoris was on the autism spectrum and had an 89 per cent disability, according to his mother. He passed away following a four-day battle in the intensive care unit at KAT hospital in Athens late on Saturday evening, 11 July 2026.
We live in an age where state-sanctioned killings and workplace accidents are an everyday occurrence. Both in Argos and in every town across Greece, the struggling community must take the lead, organise its resistance against police violence, state repression, fascist gangs, employers’ arbitrariness and workplace accidents, and defend the interests of the people, the youth and our class.

Everyone on Saturday 25 July at 12:00 am for the nationwide demonstration, with a pre-rally at Agios Petros Square (Argos Museum).

Initiative against the state-murder in Argos

——

KILLED BY A COPS BULLETS

We experience state violence every day in every possible way. Through the economic destitution it has brought upon our lives, the killings of workers, the killings of migrants at the borders, the violence of patriarchy (which we saw unfold in its most brazen form during the trial for the rape at Omonia police station), the attacks, torture and killings by the police, as well as its very stance in deliberately allowing a hunger striker to die and actively participating in the genocide of the Palestinians.

This morning, 9/7/ a young person was shot in the back of the head by a cop in uniform during a chase; they are currently clinically dead, in an – of course – irreversible manner. No excuse will ever be enough to wash away the blood of those at the bottom, of all those we have lost to the murderous violence of the police and the state-capitalist patriarchal system. We do not remain passive in the face of it; we continue to fight against all forms of authority.

VIOLENCE AGAINST THE VIOLENCE OF AUTHORITY

BLOOD FLOWS, REVOLT IS CALLED

WILL NOT FORGET THE DEAD’S OF THE CLASS AND SOCIAL WAR
