The state of affairs in the Munich Zündlumpen case over the last four years is reminiscent of one of M. C. Escher’s stairs to nowhere. Without a doubt the judiciary has been going round in circles this past year.
But finally the repression theater around Zündlumpen is expected to premiere in November or December of this year. Barely one and a half years after Eva Firoozis preliminary typescript of her play, “Whoever reads this is an idiot,” was presented to us. With judge Himmelstoß and his judicial association playing the role of protagonist on stage.
The very same actors who previously corrected most of Firoozis manuscript with a red marker, disqualified entire files from the case and even changed the genre; who put their investigation on hold in order to refer Eva Firoozi to the theater ministry, have now been tasked by the upper echelons of the theaters management to perform the piece anyway.
So far it is unclear what effect the corrections made by Himmelstoß & Co. will have on the plot of the theater piece. Which is why we will
save our comments on the matter for a future date and for now refer you to previous texts. However, what is clear is that Eva Firoozi copied and plagiarized from numerous other sources. The young
debut-general-director is trying to make the original sources disappear; she had them withdrawn and would like the files to be destroyed to hide the evidence of her plagiarism. Which reminds one of the phenomenon in legal libraries where entire pages are torn out of idiotic legal tomes just to undermine the competition.
Meanwhile there have been rumors among various critics that Eva Firoozi is using AI to draft her works. Rumors based on the fact that multiple theater pieces, ranging from the Kasperltheater [puppets] genre to sitcom style Kammerspielen [state funded theater in Munich] have been announced within a short span of time, all supposedly penned by the young debutant. This seems to have had an effect on the quality of the works. The well-known theater critic Martin Bernd Stein, who has gone missing recently, wrote a scathing one word review of the upcoming premiere of the piece “Kasperl and Seppl vs. Petrosilius Wackermann and Oberwachtmeister Dimpflmeier:” calling it “atrocious.” But some die-hard fans of the general director won’t let themselves be scared away and are planning an excursion to the theater court in Altötting (meeting point 18.06.2026, 9am Altötting train station). Tickets for the show, “Whoever reads this is an idiot,” in November and December will go on sale in the fall. It is unclear whether or not it
will be free entrance. It has however been confirmed that an abridged version of another one of Eva Firoozis works, “Who let the dogs out” will be performed as well. Judge Himmelstoß reacted saying: “For god’s sake, please no more acts! Frau Firoozi, you aren’t Wagner.”

We have heard that updates about the Zündlumpen case have become more and more cryptic and unintelligible. To this we can only say: we don’t understand it ourselves. That’s modern repression art for you.
