We take responsibility for the vandalism of the new facade of the
building that, until last year, housed the Autonomous Xanthi Social
Center squat. This action is part of our response to the eviction of
both the ASX and to every attack against the squats and the people
involved in the struggle. Everything belongs to us, because everything is stolen.
Amidst all this, the war rages on.
Repression and violence by the state and its administrators are
constantly on the rise, targeting the oppressed, the marginalized, and the poor in this society. Every day we see drowned migrants, beaten prisoners, and murdered female workers. Amid this dystopia, through the squats and self-managed spaces, and more broadly through anarchist struggles, we send yet another message of solidarity to all those who fight with dignity against exploitation and oppression, the state, the fascists, the bosses and all their lackeys.
As political actors who acknowledge our position in this struggle, both in this historical juncture and in every past and future one, we must participate directly in the revolutionary movement, as it is defined in its entirety, infusing it with our own positions and perspectives.
The road to building a society of freedom, equality, and solidarity is a
long one, but it is also our only hope for survival. Squats are part of
our struggle for the complete overthrow of this dystopian society.
Today, as they face such an all-out attack by the state, capital, and
the bosses, we declare that we will be there to defend them at every
moment. For us, the occupation is a political act, and so is its
defense.
