Comrades,

We are sending this email to inform you about the current developments regarding the upcoming trial of the imprisoned comrades of Ampelokipoi case and to also share our thoughts about organizing international days of solidarity actions.

In the immediate period ahead, the trial is expected to begin, almost
one and a half years after the explosion in Arkadias Street on 31/10/24, which had the tragic consequence of the loss of our beloved comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris, as well as the imprisonment of comrades Marianna and Dimitra, comrades Dimitris and Nikos, and A.K. We believe that the mobilisation of the movement around their political and moral support and as well their defense during this period is crucially important.

As we approach the date of the trial’s beginning, we would like to share our idea of calling for an International Week of Solidarity Actions with the imprisoned comrades and in memory of the armed guerilla Kyriakos, in the week just before the first court hearing.
As we do not yet know the exact dates, the purpose of this email is to provide an initial update so that groups and individuals, both locally and internationally, can begin discussing and preparing around the issue and ensure a certain level of preparation. We will contact you again once we have confirmed dates and additional details.

Finally, as an assembly, we have for some time been organizing actions within the framework of a campaign regarding the case, the main axis of which is “Who is putting our lives at risk? certainly not those who struggle”. We share this so that you are informed, and in case you are interested in incorporating it as content in future solidarity actions.
