Users of the Toulouse-Auch rail line will have to find an alternative means of transport today. “Traffic has been interrupted on the Toulouse-Auch line following an act of vandalism that damaged signaling cables,” the SNCF regional management announced this morning.

This act of vandalism was a deliberate fire between the Saint-Cyprien-Arènes station in Toulouse and Colomiers. A spokesperson for SNCF management said that “there will be no replacement transport” and that “a complaint will be filed.” An investigation is also underway. The SNCF has not announced a resumption of service before tomorrow morning, Thursday, at 5 a.m.

This fire, which has caused a signaling failure, comes at a time when traffic is already severely disrupted by the “Let’s block everything” social movement.
