To your jacks [criques] ? Ready ? Get cracking ! (Sabotage near Bure)

End of November, while the cops were going about their usual harassment in Bure and surroundings, we decided to sneak out for a little night getaway along the old railway line under the starry sky.
We twisted a rail between Nançois and Gondrecourt le château using a bottle jack to obstruct track rehabilitation work for the Cigéo project.

Here’s how it’s done :
Get hold of a hydraulic jack  (for tractor or lorry) 12 tons minimum capacity (or more to make it easier)
Dig the ballast under the ground slightly to slip the jack into
Activate the jack to lift up rail and sleepers attached to it
Enjoy the moment and sound of the ballast flowing under the sleepers
Gradually place holds under the nearest cross-section, where it crosses the rail
Lower the jack so that the rail rests on the holds
Raise the jack with the holds and repeat as often as possible

Precautions::
Don’t let any of your body go under the sleepers or rail in case they fall back heavily (unstable jack or holds rotten sleepers , …)
Place the jack upright under the centre of the rail to prevent it slipping It is possible that the jack or the holds sink into the ballast under pressure. If so, the supporting surface needs to be increased with the aid of bigger holds.

Never use this technique on a line in circulation!!!

We carried out this sabotage on a disused track so as to to complicate the rehabilitation, to oppose ourselves to the landfill of radioactive waste at Bure, or anywhere else.

The nuclear industry is sending us straight into the wall, let’s block it !
