[Message] Solidarity with imprisoned K.K. by comrades in solidarity

On Thursday 7/11, the 17-year-old comrade K.K. was arrested in Messolonghi. charged with planting an explosive device in an investigative van on 11/10.

The only clues that led to his arrest: footage from private (illegal) cameras recording a figure. The real reason: his constant participation in social struggles, for which he has been targeted for years in this small society.

The findings and “evidence” of the “crime”: books, leaflets, banners, stickers, spray paint, a screwdriver, his family’s mobiles, laptop and tablet, a power bank, sticks, a bicycle, a T-shirt and a cardigan (items which, according to local fascist literature, constitute a “Molotov laboratory”).

The categories: arson, explosion, manufacture and possession of explosives, damage to foreign property.

The decision (12/11, five days before the anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising): remand in Kassavetia prisons.

From the moment of arrest to the decision of the prosecution, the cops could not hide their sick joy and their sadistic nature: They ransacked his house from room to room, confiscating everything they found. They forbade visitors to the detention centre other than his parents.

They took him to the courts (which are 500m from the police station) accompanied by ten police cars, requesting reinforcements from other areas. During the entire interrogation, four high-ranking policemen stood outside the door, until after five excruciating hours they took him out of the building, running and holding his head down so that he could not see the comrades there in solidarity. Finally, in a recital of madness, the Aetolian Police Officers Union hastened to congratulate the Messolonghi Security for solving the case – an open case.

So: if they think they “had to do with a kid” forget it. The comrade is not going to back down, because he has the whole world of struggle on his side, no matter what they are scheming, no matter what they plot, no matter how intimidating the uniformed vermin and man-eating magistrates are. They have no idea what solidarity means. We will pass over them.
