Athens: A demonstration in defence of squats and free spaces

WE DEFEND THE OCCUPATIONS AND FREE SPACES
Hands off the squats. Hands off the parks and squares. The city does not belong to developers, businessmen and tourists. The city belongs to us, who inhabit the spaces and bring them to life. To us, who build it and produce its wealth.
Occupations and free spaces are life against the daily death imposed on us. For it is there that the culture of collectivisation clashes with the culture of privatisation. It is where we organise against State policies, gentrification, fencing, rent increases, touristisation and repression. For a world without racism, queerphobia and patriarchy.
The eviction of the Ano-Kato Patision (Naxos 75 & Krassa) and Zizania (Filis & Feron) squats will not go unanswered. Solidarity to the Evaggelismos squat (Crete) and the Polytechnic (NTUA) squat that have been evicted, and to the “Kaliarda” squat (Law university in Athens ) that has been reoccupied.
