In a country where days of national mourning are like weekends, every national tear for the dead of the social and class war is also a sob of hypocrisy. At the same time as the local alignment with the international anti-immigration policy of terror and death drowns more than 300 people on the Greek sea border, the Greek national team holds a minute’s silence and the political staff conducts memorials for the wronged. What hypocrisy! That the nation should mourn those it murders in order to keep the Greek ideal untainted and ironclad.
Over 300 more names on the long list of those put to death, whose crime was to seek a safer life. 300 more names of those killed by ‘drownings’ at sea borders, vehicle diversions from highway chases and cold-blooded murders at borders and metropolises by the official para-state and its fascist groups. And for all these deaths, the political staff has more militarisation to promise: extension of the Evros fence, reinforcement of the border guard, new cooperation agreements with Frontex, NATO contributions and camps. Because states respond to death with death. Because the murders of migrants are not the problem but the numerical result of the acts themselves.
It is true that there are mirages that trade on people’s pain and hope for a life with less misery. But it is naive and stupid to believe that the trafficking rings themselves are in the same boat as the damned of this world. -“But some confess?” Anyone who has been through the torture of the Greek Police knows very well how easy it is to confess to something that is not in order to end your abuse. This is how the facade of tyranny works. It violently fabricates whatever it needs to foment its own crimes. How else would there be legalized illegal immigrants if not for the corrupt border guards, port officers, cops, military, etc. who get rich from the commercialization of asylum conditions. Otherwise the prisons would be full of traffickers.
Let everyone open their eyes and see what the real crime is when Frontex ‘humanitarian’ operations build cordons around the floating graves of migrants to prevent them from landing on European land. When NATO makes “peacekeeping” interventions by bombing and it is the fault of the people who are forcibly displaced in order to save themselves. When the fascists’ with arm hands knives murder and it’s the fault of the migrants who speak the wrong language and were born on the wrong side of the same sea.
In this world there is an ever-present conflict between those who pollute the nation and those who pollute life. For this world proves daily that it cannot fit us all and those it does not murder, it buries alive in prisons so that the capitalist ideal remains untainted. Anyone who serves life must fight the agents of death to the death. The tearing down of borders will come through rupture and conflict with the mechanisms of subjugation and division of people. By attacking the armies and political personnel of tyranny, we are fighting to build a society of civil disobedience to national imperatives and the spirit of submission. A society that is emancipated, egalitarian, open to the needs and interests of all. In this society death will no longer have power.
Borders are notches in the body of the planet.
To tolerate the murder of immigrants is complicity.
The only justice of the people lies in social and class counter-reaction.
