Hanover : Siemens under fire

de.indymedia, February 10, 2023

On the night of February 7-8, 2023, we placed incendiary devices with delays under four vehicles of the company Siemens in Hannover/Laatzen. Unfortunately, not all of them burned, but we know for sure that at least one of them was completely destroyed.

From Lützerath to Yucatán, Siemens is involved in every sordid affair!

Digitization, automation, data and signal transmission, energy generation, electrification, extension of the railway network – Siemens provides the infrastructural basis for capitalist and neo-colonial exploitation worldwide.

There are many concrete examples: maintenance and servicing of machines in the open-cast [lignite mine in] Garzweiler, provision of signal technology for the world’s largest coal mine Adani in Australia, or realization of weapons projects such as the Albis laser radar system, which is used worldwide for tanks and warships.

Siemens also continues to show enormous interest in the large Tren Maya infrastructure project in Mexico. The construction of this huge railway network will lead to the irreparable destruction of various ecosystems. The name Tren Maya is particularly misleading, as it supposedly refers to indigenous groups in Mexico, who are being dispossessed of their livelihoods and will be partially expropriated by the project. Indigenous militants who oppose the project are being murdered by the Mexican army and paramilitaries.

The Siemens Group is synonymous with neo-colonial exploitation worldwide. Neo-colonialism today means continuing the exploitation and destruction of the human being and the environment initiated by colonialism, as well as the ideology of racism and patriarchy. We want to fight these structures on all levels, in ourselves, in our relationships and also deprive them of their material basis.

Attack Siemens and the other exploitative multinationals everywhere! Destroy the neo-colonial infrastructure! Against all domination!

Siemens has already been attacked several times in recent years. More information about some of the actions of Siemens can be found in the communiques:
