The two dragons of my anarchism
Introduction
Hola comrades,
I am happy to take part in the anarchist book fair in Carrara, 2022, and to intervene through my friends and comrades with this pamphlet, and in the presentation of issue 14 of ‘i giorni e le notti’, an anarchist magazine of which I feel an intrinsic part.
Books, fanzines, anarchist journals…I believe that editorial collaboration, non-commercial book fairs, or collaboration in creating a book or reading it and analysing it together, is for me a process of praxis and realisation, which goes far beyond a purely mechanistic question. The relations, the relationships, the contrasts of the different individualities create a diversified whole of organic and living development in its symbiosis of unrepeatable and unique human relations and relationships.
And when these living relationships, as direct relationships between people, are lacking, as the comrades mentioned in no. 14 ‘the reasons are also and above all subjective. The absence in recent years of an editorial meeting – in its human and non-technological [I would say non-alienated] sense of the term: being in the same place and discussing at ease and at length – has had an effect on the momentum, quality and punctuality of our theoretical reflections.

This discourse, in my humble opinion, is fundamental to a non-alienated vision of life-struggle, and over the years we have lost it in our anarchist circles; it is fundamental not only in the creation of books, fanzines, anarchist journals, but also for the more comprehensive, tactical-strategic praxis and planning of the struggle in anarchism that has anarchy-utopia as its compass and that is not separated from life itself.
For an anarchist prisoner, making pamphlets and writing is one of the ways to convey and feel part of the anarchist galaxy, as well as one of the ways to feel alive and with the will to continue the struggle.
This pamphlet collects writings that I have done over the years. They are writings that without the support and affection of some comrades, and of one comrade in particular, would not have been possible. The affection and solidarity they transmit to me is priceless.
A small point that I address in these writings is my (constructive) criticism of insurrectional anarchist projectuality, a diversity that exists among the editors of the journal ‘i giorni e le notti’, but I believe it has been more an asset than a hindrance for me and I also believe so for the comrades; I am convinced that it has made us grow in quality.
I am more inclined towards a vision of an individual anarchism, done in my own way, and I think that the diversity of anarchism’s infinite projects is the lifeblood to keep anarchy-utopia alive.
Moreover, I have embraced anarchist insurrectional projectuality for years, and I am proud of this because it is part of my growth.
Without these living and deep roots of anarchist struggle here in Italy, both in the past and in the present, my awareness, my consciousness as well as my overall vision of the praxis of anarchism would not be such.
With this brochure I would like to send a fraternal greeting of solidarity to Alfredo who is in 41bis; we have shared life in prison, an invaluable comrade, and to Anna who like Alfredo risks life imprisonment. I want to greet Monica Caballero and Francisco Solar, the comrade Marcelo Villarroel and the prisoner comrades in Chile, the comrade Giannis Michailidis, anarchist, after 70 days’ hunger strike, and the prisoner comrades in Greece, the comrades Claudio Lavazza and Ivan Alocco prisoners in France, the comrade Boris, may he gain strength soon, the comrade Toby Shone prisoner in the UK, and all the revolutionary comrades and prisoners in the world, and those who outside and inside continue to struggle.
