Limoges : vehicles set on fire in the parking lot of the ARS
France3 Nouvelle-Aquitaine, 18 January 2022
The fire was reported around 2am, this Tuesday, January 18. Neighbours gave the alert. The fire destroyed 3 vehicles before damaging a 4th car. The firefighters then quickly brought it under control.
The cars were parked in the parking lot of the ARS (Agence Régionale de Santé), and had to pass through a gate to access them. The fire also damaged the façade of the building.

Investigators believe it is of criminal origin, because two fire starters were noted. The public prosecutor of Limoges has been informed and the technical police are looking for clues.
The employees of the ARS have been put on teleworking, in particular because of the odours of combustion are still very present on the site.
The prefect of the Haute-Vienne went to the site in the morning, and the director general of the ARS Nouvelle-Aquitaine, whose headquarters are in Bordeaux, is expected in the afternoon.
If it seems likely that the site of the Regional Health Agency of Limoges was deliberately targeted – the vehicles were marked ARS – no element of alert had been reported, no particular threat had been issued against the health establishment.
