Joué-lès-Tours: a school bus set on fire in La Vallée Violette

Emotion and suspicion in the district of La Vallée Violette, this Wednesday 20 October in Joué-lès-Tours. A bus belonging to the Millet company, parked on rue Claude Bernard, was destroyed by fire last night at around 1:25am. The driver had to transport secondary school students from Saché and Pont-de-Ruan.
“I’ve been doing this job for 18 years, I’ve never seen anything like this,” says Ali, the bus driver. “I’ve spent years parking in La Rabière without any problem and this is what happens today. It’s getting worse and worse here.” However, the police are talking about an accident, the fire having started in the rear, in the engine compartment.
The Millet company, based in Rigny-sur-Vienne, does not have the same view. “The fire started in the left rear wheel, but also inside the bus at the rear. Everyone is disgusted by this gratuitous, voluntary act.”
