In a few days the cops will try to enforce an inspection of Rigaer Straße 94 in Friedrichshain by the so-called “owner” of the house and a fire safety expert. From the planned lockdown and siege of the neighbourhood it is obvious that the house project is seriously threatened again.
That’s why we sent solidarity and militant greetings on the night of Tuesday, 15.06, to all companions who keep their heads up and oppose the repression. Shards in front of the “Qintus Ingenieurhaus” in Max-Brauer-Allee 62-64 testify to the hatred that unites us against all those who profit from the city of the rich. Greetings to Rigaer94 were also left on site.
The team of engineers and architects of “Qintus” participates in various building projects in Hamburg by providing services such as construction planning, technical inspections or fire protection planning. The projects, which are presented as special showpieces, quickly make it clear whose services the company is providing. Various modern villas and expensive apartment complexes in districts such as Harvestehude or Flottbek are among them. In addition, the company’s involvement in the construction of the new Hamburg trade fair halls should be highlighted. This construction is a particular mockery against the background of rising rents: thousands and thousands of square metres of mostly unused space that is regularly made available to all kinds of shit corporations and powerful people.
Of course, we know that attacks like these are not in themselves capable of changing the situation or even sabotaging a possible eviction. That can only happen through the initiative, willingness to act and strength of the people on the ground. But they can still be a signal and bring us out of our powerlessness until other possibilities of confrontation open up again. In this case, our hope is especially to show the people who are leading a consistent struggle against this powerlessness and domination that they are not alone! And to show the cops, politicians, investors and their service providers that they should keep their hands off places like Rigaer94!
