Summary of the previous days’ actions in Athens in solidarity with the anarchist hunger striker (since 20/10/2022) Alfredo Cospito.

Actions/Interventions:

8.3.2023: An intervention took place in Syntagma Square on March 8, day of Remembrance and Resistance against the barbarity of patriarchy and mobilizations for the mass murder with responsibilities of State and capital in Tempe. Banners were unfurled, texts were distributed, and fliers thrown. Many people were interested in the comrade’s case. At the end comrades stayed on the steps of the square with the banner open for a long time, continuing to inform passers-by.

9.3.2023. People gathered at the Italian embassy  and stood on the opposite pavement. Banners were unfurled, texts were handed out, flyers were thrown, slogans were shouted.

11.3.2023: On March 11th a microphone-rally in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito took place in Kapnikareas Square. Banners were hung, texts were handed out, fliers were thrown and texts were read in Greek-Italian-English. There was no lack of appropriate music and slogans were shouted. Interrupting the tourist bliss for a while, we left a message of resistance and solidarity in the commercial heart of the metropolis to the comrade who is fighting for all of us.

16.3.2023. The assembly opened banners and stood at the end of the march. Texts were handed out, fliers were thrown, slogans were shouted and stencils sprayed. When the cops came down we remained coordinated and ended up in an alley near Syntagma Square. When the suffocating atmosphere cleared (somewhat) we found ourselves with the remaining groups and assemblies (BKP K14 & SBEOD) on the street in front of the Parliament. We stood there then there was a march through Panepistimiou ending at Exarchia.
