Arco (Italy): three relay antennas attacked in the same night

Arco, three relay antennas attacked in the same night

On the night of June 24 in the town of Arco (Trentino region), located not far from the famous Lake Garda, no less than three large antennas went up in smoke at the same time.

The firemen worked from 3 am to 8 am before succeeding in taming the flames, which had all the time they needed to completely destroy the telecommunication structures. And not to simplify the task, these antennas were located in three different parts of the city: one in Via Gobbi, another in Rovereto Alley, and the last in Via Cavallo in the neighborhood of San Giorgio. One was of the operator WindTre and the other two jointly of WindTre and Iliad, all equipped with 5G.

In their own language, the cops said that “the fact that three phenomena of the same type occurred suggests a deliberate action”, while the operators deplore the heavy repercussions in the entire area, with many users deprived of a telephone network.
