To your jacks [criques] ? Ready ? Get cracking ! (Sabotage near Bure)

Indymedia Lille / Saturday 7 December 2024

End of November, while the cops were going about their usual harassment in Bure and surroundings, we decided to sneak out for a little night getaway along the old railway line under the starry sky.
We twisted a rail between Nançois and Gondrecourt le château using a bottle jack to obstruct track rehabilitation work for the Cigéo project.

France: Communique claiming responsibility for the attack on three electrical transformers in Toulouse on the night of December 2 to 3, 2024

Toulouse: “They refused to be cannon fodder, we will refuse to be drone fodder”.

Communique claiming responsibility for the attack on three electrical transformers in Toulouse on the night of December 2 to 3, 2024

That night, with light hearts, we wandered around the city in search of a breath of fresh air, a nice encounter, an adventure like only the night knows how to welcome. And as it’s impossible to walk 500 meters in this sad city without coming across one of these industrial horrors at the service of the generalized massacre underway, the adventure quickly presented itself to us. Light-hearted, but never insensitive or resigned, we went looking for a few treasures of our own, which we scattered here and there, so that, with one great BANG, these industries of death would finally power off.

Two cranes sabotaged at Damen Oranjewerf, Amsterdam (Netherlands)

In a recent speech NATO chief Mark Rutte warned that “we are not ready for what is coming our way in four to five years,” and that Europe needs to “shift to a wartime mindset and turbocharge defense production and defense spending.” While NATO prepares for the war to come, arms companies worldwide make millions on war that is already here, and millions of migrants flee from wars present and past.

We as anarchists must ask ourselves how we will act, today and tomorrow. Will we complain online about the latest outrage or join those marching in circles begging the politicians for crumbs; to do something, anything, other than funding these merchants of death? Or will we take matters into our own hands? Organizing mutual aid for those displaced by conflict, climate and the economy. Blockading and sabotaging the arms companies that make war, colonialism, and genocide possible in the first place. On the first day of christmas some anarchists chose to do the latter.

Munich (Germany): the series of nocturnal attacks continues

On Monday night, November 26, two excavators went up in smoke in the Au-Haidhausen district of southeast Munich. More precisely, at around 3 a.m., they went up in flames in Zeppelinstrasse, where a bicycle path extension project was underway. The two burnt-out construction machines belonged to the Strabag Group, one of Europe’s largest construction companies, involved in every conceivable infamy on the planet.

In the prison-city that serves as Bavaria’s capital, this is of course not the first time that construction equipment has been set ablaze at night, each time causing “several tens of thousands of euros” worth of damage, as on this chilly late November day. Since 2019, the police have counted no fewer than thirty such incendiary attacks in and around Munich, a review of which can be found here.

Berlin (Germany): attack on the arms company ThyssenKrupp

ThyssenKrupp grows rich on war and genocide

Many are angry. Angry at the genocide in Gaza. Angry at the bombs falling on civilians, schools and hospitals. Against global military rearmament. Against the bloodshed and forced displacement of millions. Against propaganda for “war capacity” and a Germany “ready to defend itself”. Against arms supplies and arms industry profits, and against plans to reintroduce compulsory military service. Against automated assassination through AI-directed drone attacks.

Too much anger.
That rage was unleashed yesterday.
Against the arms company ThyssenKrupp.
Yesterday, three trucks were set on fire at the ThyssenPlastics plant in Berlin, and a warehouse was set on fire.

Why ThyssenKrupp?

Through its subsidiary ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS), Thysenkrupp makes billions building warships of all kinds. These include submarines, corvettes and frigates produced in Hamburg, Kiel and Emden. Thyssen Krupp Marine Systems (TKMS) is Germany’s sole supplier of submarines.

Actu.fr, October 24, 2024 (excerpt)

Fire alert at 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Brissac quarry in the Gangeois region, north of Montpellier: metal conveyor belts used to transport ore were completely engulfed in flames at the CMSE (Carrières & Matériaux Sud-Est) extraction site operated by Colas, at Le Devois de la Vernède, on the Notre-Dame-de-Londres road.

Some fifteen conveyors were destroyed and twenty damaged, and may still be out of use. The offices, other adjoining buildings and the fleet of Colas vehicles were spared. The fifteen or so employees could find themselves out of work, while the provisional loss is estimated at 6 million euros. Fire detection experts and technicians from the criminal identification unit of the Hérault Gendarmerie are on the scene.

Toulouse (Haute-Garonne): fire to the trucks collaborating with the A69 (France)

Charred trucks, explosions, anti-A69 tags: what we know about the violent fire in Toulouse
ActuToulouse/Ouest France/La Dépêche, October 21, 2024
Several explosions ripped through the night, rousing many Toulousains from their beds. On Monday, October 21, 2024, at around 4 a.m., a violent fire broke out on the premises of Spie Batignolles, located in the Gramont district of Toulouse. When firefighters arrived on the scene, seven trucks were engulfed in flames. An eighth was only just saved. The explosions heard by local residents were none other than the tires of the trucks, which were subjected to temperatures too extreme for them to withstand.
Specialized in construction work, Spie Batignolles is involved in two major projects in the Toulouse region: line C of the Toulouse metro, and the A69 highway between Toulouse and Castres. This project has been the subject of fierce protests from environmental militants for many months.
The police are investigating the incident as a crime, and the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office has opened an inquiry for “deliberate damage to private property by dangerous means”. Damage is estimated at 2 million euros.

Berlin (Germany): Army car damaged

Kontrapolis / Wednesday, December 4, 2024

Last night, a car with a military license plate a German army logo was parked on the Maybach quay at the Hobrecht Bridge.

Something unusual to see.

In the morning, it had to be towed away, with new paint, broken windows and flat tires. Was it a private trip? Every ten years, federal officials forget: you must not park in Neukölln [ a working-class district in the south-central part of Berlin – the link refers to a similar case, a dozen years ago; Ed. ]…

Flamanville (Manche): A few bolts less for an EHV pylon

A few bolts less for an EHV pylon near Flamanville
(Indymedia Nantes, September 30, 2024)

The EPR nuclear reactor in Flamanville, on which work which begun in 2006, is nearing completion and could be connected to the power grid this autumn. This step, known as “coupling”, is decisive for making what would then be France’s most powerful nuclear reactor operational. The Flamanville EPR and the announced future EPR2 reactors (Penly 3 and 4, Gravelines 7 and 8, Le Bugey 6 and 7) add to the 56 reactors currently operating in France, not counting the nuclear reactors used to propel military submarines and an aircraft carrier, and the few research reactors in service.

Pylon! Pylon! Fire, Fire!

Attempting to recount pylon woes from late 2022 to the present day, based on communiques and publications from recent years

Against the nuclear industry, the electrical grid and the power supply of capitalism’s most harmful… Pylons are targets. The aim here is to highlight the vulnerability of the power grid order and, in a way, to demonstrate the ability to attack capitalism using this angle.

Pylons can topple to block electricity production (as at Brennilis on January 15, 1979), but they can also target the supply of a harmful industry (as in the famous film Woman at War, which targets the aluminum industry)…

At the end of 2022, two reports from south-eastern France demonstrated the relevance, and indeed the effectiveness, of these actions

In Salindres, in the Gard region of France, the electricity supply to the chemical-industrial hub was targeted. The resistance fighters who claimed the toppling of the 225,000 volt pylon even indicated the method used, allowing anyone to cut off the electricity where it doesn’t belong!
