Anarchist prisoner Marianna Manoura : Those Who Fuel Violence Are the First to Condemn Those Who Struggle. (Greece)

On 9/5, the extension of my pre-trial detention and that of my other co-defendants has been officially received. However, the decision was made months earlier, on 31/10, when the anti-terrorist police instructed the investigator to attribute the maximum charges to a highly inflated indictment.

Nevertheless, I will not focus on the decision of the Athens Misdemeanor Court Council – what council would take responsibility for releasing a defendant of the anti-terrorism police? – as well as the proposal and argumentation of the Athens Misdemeanor Prosecutor, Sotiris Bougioukos, who even rushed a whole month before the end of the semester to prove his obedience to the anti-terrorism law by assembling and proposing an abortive report, both for me and for the rest of the co-defendants. By rehashing the words of the anti-terrorist police, he simply repeats its position, revealing his indifference and the predetermined strategy followed by the dictatorship.

On the case of the bomb explosion in a bank in Thessaloniki where my former co-defendant S. Paraskevaidou lost her life – Fotis Tziotzis (Greece)

“Lies were told that even they themselves were ashamed, since they were not ashamed of the mouths that told them.”

All these days I have been watching the vile and unsubstantiated ridiculousness from the media slugs.

At first I thought that because of their low intelligence, I thought that these people could not put the facts in the right order. But now I now realize that some higher ups in the system are using them to shape-distort the truth and facts. It is a very dangerous and standard tactic used by the government media to mislead the public and impose their political agenda. Without of course in any way comparing cases, it is the same people who dare to slander the relatives of the victims of Tempi and cover up the case. It’s us they think we’re easy targets they’ll stick to; but are we?

The Trial of Ruslan Sidiki in Ryazan

Tuesday May 13, a panel of judges from the 2nd Western District Military Court began substantive hearings in Ryazan in the case against anarchist Ruslan Sidiki, who is charged under “terrorism” articles for two attacks on military infrastructure

Ruslan Sidiki was brought into the courtroom in shackles, which were not removed even inside the defendant’s cage. There were 10 bailiffs present in the room, some of them armed with rifles. As one attendee noted: “The level of security was like the Kremlin.” Prosecutor Boris Motorin requested that the trial be held behind closed doors, claiming that it would include “methods of conducting terrorist activities” and details about the Dyagilevo military airbase, which Sidiki allegedly attempted to attack. He also argued that investigative techniques might be disclosed. However, defense attorney Igor Popovsky and Sidiki himself objected, stating that the case materials contain no state secrets. Judge Oleg Shishov denied the prosecutor’s request but banned photo, video, and audio recordings.

During the first hearing:
-The prosecutor read out the charges.
-Four representatives of the victims were questioned.
-Part of the written case materials was read.

The Trial of Ruslan Sidiki — Day 2, May 14

The hearing ran from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a break for lunch. The prosecutor read out written case materials, and three witnesses were questioned. Two of them were local residents who could not provide any significant testimony.

Anarchist Alexey Rozhkov sentenced to 16 years for setting fire to a military enlistment office

Rozhkov carried out the third known arson attack on a military enlistment office following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian army. He committed the act on March 11, 2022, as a form of protest and a way to draw attention to the situation. In an interview Ivan Astashin conducted with Alexey in December 2022 — when he had managed to flee to Kyrgyzstan — the anarchist explained his motivation:

“I just understood that I couldn’t stay indifferent. (…) Any war means death for ordinary, simple people. War in the 21st century seems completely alien to me. Especially with such absurd reasons [they gave]. We annexed Crimea in 2014, and even then I said it was all done in vain. Crimea is not ours and never will be. There will be consequences. And that’s exactly what happened.

(Chile) The Night in Black May When the Mauricio Morales Revolutionary Cells Attacked a Business of the Cop Claudio Crespo with Explosives

The Night in Black May When the Mauricio Morales Revolutionary Cells Attacked a Business of the Cop Claudio Crespo with Explosives

May 7, 2025 / informativoanarquista  Translated by Act for freedom now!

Claudio Crespo has been identified as the cop who shot and mutilated the eyes of a young person on November 8, 2019, when the October revolt was in full swing. A few days ago, the CIPER media released body camera footage of the chilean police [1], in which phrases can be heard like: “we’re going to shoot your eyes out”, “let the fucker burn” or “all these fuckers have to get killed“. In other audiovisual recordings he can be observed tearing out a lock of hair from a detainee’s head and sending a photo of it as a trophy to a Whatsapp group called “Scissors” where it seems it was common practice for these miserable police to send records of their “trophies”.

Days after the release of these videos, the cop Claudio Crespo affirmed that “I regret nothing” and “I don’t give a shit”. [2]

Does this surprise us? No. The police is the armed wing of the powerful, defenders of the flesh and blood of property, modern pacifiers who for a salary have decided to take up arms against those who challenge normality and confront a system of life sustained by hierarchies and obedience using the various practices of political violence. In this sense, the words of the cop in question represent the dynamics of the police, who possess no codes at the time of confrontation and make morbid, mocking remarks as a kind of gesture to show their masters that they work to defend their interests. Like a gaucho hanging the dismembered body of a cougar from the pediment of the plots in Patagonia, so the bosses know about their work, unaware that, at some point, the hunters will become the hunted. • Then, Črna Luknja returns with an interview about Disgraça, an anarchist social center active in Lisbon since 2015. In March 2024, they started a process of collectively purchasing the space, as an effort to avoid paying (an always rising) rent, and secure it for the years to come. Lisbon has been devastated by real estate speculation, the housing crisis and the elitisation of culture. Various politically-engaged social centers in the city are facing evictions, seeing their contracts finishing, with no possibility to open new spaces…
  • Following this, A-Radio Berlin interviews a member of the Solidarity Fund for Imprisoned and Persecuted Revolutionaries, also known as Tameio, concerning solidarity and anti-repression work in Greece.
  • And finally, Parias of Athens shares an interview about the new case of political prisoner Nikos Romanos, represented by a person from the Nikos Romanos Solidarity Initiative.

We hope you enjoy this episode and check it out monthly by visiting A-Radio-Network.Org, where you can find other member shows, a back catalog of episodes and information about our network including how to join. Also, we have a mastodon account on Kolektiva.social where we occasionally post. Take care!

Santiago, Chile: Banner and Fliers in Solidarity with Comrade Marcelo Villarroel

Agitating for the release of anti-authoritarian comrade Marcelo Villarroel, prisoner in Rancagua prison.

Individuals released propaganda in the sector of Dignity plaza, to visibilize the abhorrent legal situation that the comrade is living through while also acknowledging his resistance to carceral society in a complicit manner.

With our prisoners, fugitives, and dead, we continue in the daily struggle against all authority.

With Tortu and Belén in our hearts and active hands, we say:

Freedom for Marcello Villarroel!

Athens,Greece : Solidarity attacks for comrade D. Klette

Daniela Klette, now 66, joined the revolutionary movement as a teenager. In 1978, a year after the “German Autumn” with the deaths of the “historical members” of the RAF in Stamheim prison, the 19-year-old Klette joined the local Red Help group (a solidarity organization for revolutionary prisoners) in Wiesbaden. There she met Birgit Hogefeld and Wolfgang Grams, who together would join the RAF’s armed struggle a few years later.

Together with other comrades, they will carry out actions of high
political importance, even in the conditions of capitalist restoration
in East Germany and “German unification”. Among other things, the German police charge Klette with participation in the bombing and complete destruction of the Weiterstadt prison and in the attack on the American embassy during the invasion of Iraq.

A coordination’s attacks in solidarity with the anarchists M.Μ, D.Ζ. | Deprivation of health care is torture

31/10/24 will remain forever engraved in our hearts, it will be a constant reminder of the reasons we are fighting for. On that day, in Arkadias Street, in Ampelokipi, an explosion occurs following the processing of explosives, with the tragic consequence of the death of the anarchist guerrilla Kyriakos Xymitiris and the serious injury of the anarchist Marianna M.

Marianna is transferred to Evangelismos Hospital with multiple injuries and a haematoma in her head. The anti-terrorist gang don’t miss an opportunity to take a blood sample from her, as long as she hasn’t fully regained consciousness. In the following days, a horror show begins inside the hospital, with her comrade isolated, her privacy violated and the interrogator herself pressuring her to testify, while she was not yet in a position to talk. The climate of revenge culminates with her transfer to prison on 15/11, just one day after undergoing surgery. From then on, imprisoned in Korydallos women’s prison, she is faced with miserable sanitary conditions and total lack of medical care. These conditions constitute a form of torture that shows the eternal hatred that the state has for every captured and oppressed activist. Marianna has not been given a CT brain scan to monitor the haematoma during the months she has been held in prison, with her dizziness constantly worsening. On the contrary, she has been informed by the prison neurologist that unless she has an epileptic seizure, she will not go to hospital.

Italy: Anarchist comrade Juan Sorroche. Open letter re the invitation to participate in the Anarchist Publishing and Propaganda Fair in Rome as an anarchist prisoner

Juan Sorroche: Open letter re the invitation to participate in the Anarchist Publishing and Propaganda Fair in Rome as anarchist prisoner. To those who organised it, those who are going to it, and all the comrades, anarchists and not, who would like to read my considerations

Hola comrades everyone,

I received the books with the Fair material at the beginning of March and read them with great interest, particularly concerning the Publishing and Propaganda Fair due to be held in Rome on 4-5-6 April 2025. I thank you for the invitation to the prisoner comrades to participate and keep up the discussions between outside and inside and not break the link of solidarity with those of us who find ourselves locked up. And I thank you for the sign of solidarity

But I feel obliged to answer, concentrating in this letter and in your organized space exclusively on the net positions you have decided to take. The discourse, yes, is very divisive, so I think it’s very important and fundamental that there be collective perspectives and the broadest possible continuity in this respect, also with us, prisoners and not only. With compromises among comrades. For me personally compromise is not negative and not always enemy in absolute, on the contrary. I am for clear compromises between all comrades, male and female. Concerning the net position you have decided to take. As far as I am concerned these are a priori decisions, with automatic mechanisms and methods, decided elsewhere. It is therefore deciding exclusively whether to adhere and then perhaps discuss questions that have clearly already been decided.

Text of the imprisoned anarchist Kostantinos K. from the Kassavetia prisons (Greece)

Text of the imprisoned anarchist Kostantinos K.

“To govern you is to watch you. To inspect you, to spy on you, to direct you, to encase you in laws, to regulate you, to record you…To control you, to measure you, to weigh you, to censor you, to order you… It means to tax you, to drink your blood… To terrorize you, to beat you, to disarm you, to strangle you, to imprison you, to try you, to condemn you, to deport you…
This is government, this is its justice, this is its morality.”

-Pierre-Joseph Proudhon

As long as we experience modern totalitarianism, as long as the blades of domination cripple us, solidarity will heal our wounds like medicine. Even if they bury us, like seeds we will sprout, here and there, irregularly. In the most barren soils. We will bloom at unspecified times where they least expect it. Contaminating the fields of modern states.

On 12/11/24, I was sentenced to 6 months of pretrial detention. From the first days in prison, I submitted a request for release, which was rejected 40 days later. I submitted a second request and after waiting two months, I received a negative response, while at almost the same time, the case was scheduled for trial on May 2. This, in my opinion, is a ploy, as they rushed to set the court date without me having time to make a third request. Because in this case, for bureaucratic reasons, the procedures regarding the file would cease and therefore the result would be that I would be released due to the end of the term. However, I am quoting this as a note. I believe it is more important to mention what these responses of the judicial councils were regarding my requests. These are 30 pages of unfounded allegations and successive leaps of logic. In them, a ridiculous story unfolds where, given my guilt, they argue that the methodology and characteristics of this action demonstrate a person capable of committing more similar crimes, taking into account my particular personality, which they refer to again and again.

Greece: INTERNATIONALIST SOLIDARITY WITH COMRADE SALVATORE VESPERTINO GHESPE IN ITALY

On February 15, anarchist comrade Salvatore Vespertino (Ghespe), who had been a fugitive for the last 2 years or so, was arrested in Madrid. According to the regime, his arrest was the result of cooperation between the authorities of various countries, including Greece.

The comrade was transferred to Italy on March 4th, initially to the Rebibbia prison in Rome and is currently imprisoned in Spoleto prison of Spoleto. In the early days of his detention in Spain, Ghespe was subjected to pressure and harassment by guards. At Rebibbia, the correspondence wasn’t delivered to him; visits and phone calls were not allowed until shortly before his transfer to the prison of Spoleto.

He was sentenced to 8 years in prison on charges of possession, manufacture and transport of an explosive device, grievous bodily harm and damage in the context of the Panico operation in 2017 in Florence. More specifically, he is accused of an improvised explosive device that was placed outside a fascist bookstore in Florence on New Year’s Day 2017.The device exploded in the hands of a pyrotechnics cop who did not even follow safety protocols, resulting in the loss of an arm and an eye.
