Heraklion Crete: Taking responsibility by Anarchists (Greece)

Heraklion Crete: Taking responsibility by Anarchists
Every day we are confronted with more and more violence and repression, from unpaid ten-hour days to the destruction of the National Health Ε.Σ.Υ. From the murders of refugees to the anti-terrorism case files, to security and the energy crisis. The story is well known: the State kills and the bosses get rich on our backs.
On the dawn of 12/03/22, we chose to break the window of social peace by breaking the facade of the Piraeus Bank in Archbishop Makarios Street, Heraklion Crete.
Solidarity with the 3 prisoners Th.H., G.V., P.K. in connection with the incendiary attack case of the IETP (foundation for National and Religious Reflection) and the 2 prisoners Jason R., Fotis D.

Athens Pagrati area, Greece: – Excerpt from claim by Anarchists for an attack on an apartment building where cops and Eftichis Vardoulakis reside

Pagrati, Greece: – Taking responsibility for an attack on an apartment building where cops and Eftychis Vardoulakis reside
At dawn on 17/02 we placed an incendiary device at the entrance of an apartment building in Lykofronos Street in Pagrati, where 5 cops live, among them some in high-ranking positions, as well as the communication technocrat of the New Democracy, Eftichis Vardoulakis. The result was the destruction of part of the entrance.
In conclusion, we will agree with our comrades from the Nuclei of Direct Action that we have to become a shield to protect the anarchist and communist prisoners inside the prisons, making it clear that every single cog in this repressive mechanism is a target for us. From the last cop to the prison directors and every legal adviser of law-making committees to the ministries and their executives.

Taking Responsibility – Let’s sabotage the war / Let’s light the flame of practical internationalist solidarity by Anarchists

Taking Responsibility – Let’s sabotage the war / Let’s light the flame of practical internationalist solidarity
“No; none of the belligerents is entitled to invoke the name of civilization or to declare itself in a state of legitimate defence. The truth is that the cause of wars, of that which at present stains with blood the plains of Europe, as of all wars that have preceded it, rests solely in the existence of the State, which is the political form of privilege.
The role of the Anarchists in the present tragedy, whatever may be the place or the situation in which they find themselves, is to continue to proclaim that there is but one war of liberation: that which in all countries is waged by the oppressed against the oppressors, by the exploited against the exploiters. Our part is to summon the slaves to revolt against their masters.”
International Anarchist Manifesto Against the War, London (February 1915)
On 24 February the Russian State, under the pretext of the violating of the Minsk agreement and the “denazification” of Ukraine, launched an attack on the Ukrainian territories. The bloody military conflict that has been going on for the last few weeks has already cost hundreds of lives, which will increase as the war continues.
The Russian State, an authoritarian regime aimed at savagely serving the interests of Russian oligarchic capital, aims to maintain its territorial and economic influence in Ukraine, in collaboration with part of the local bourgeoisie. The current economic/political regime is the result of a long process beginning with the dissolution of the USSR, the October 1993 crisis, and a series of a dozen wars in the regions of the Russian federation and in neighbouring countries where local capital had direct interests. The result of this process is the absolute domination of oligarchic capital over Russian society, expressed politically by the Putin regime and the “fourth political theory”. On this political basis, the Russian ruling classes have launched a ferocious war against the insurgent sections of the oppressed, either internally with dozens of long-lasting, even pre-emptive sentences of anarchists and antifascists, or in territories that it considers its sphere of influence, such as the brutal repression of anarchists in Belarus and the crushing of antifascist forces in the Donbas DR.

Taking responsibility for acts of sabotage by Anarchists (Athens,Greece)

Taking responsibility for acts of sabotage by Anarchists
Tuesday morning 8/2 once again the State acts repressively by arresting 2 comrades after the SWAT team (EKAM) raided the house where they were staying following an incendiary attack that took place at the (foundation for National and Religious Reflection) in the area of Ano Polis (Thessaloniki). A few hours later and for unknown reasons a third person was arrested.
The 3 persons accused of being members of a terrorist organization (187A) of the name of >>Anarchist Action>> were taken into custody on 11/2 with Thanos Xatziagkelou taking responsibility for the incendiary attack, Georgia Voulgari asking for a defence and finally Panagiotis Kalaitzis renouncing all charges, as the only connection he had with the persons was the granting of the house as a quarantine area. A brief update on our preliminary examination calls regarding the eviction of Terra Incognita squat (Thessaloniki, Greece)

On 14th of February the state security called us together with other comrades for a preliminary examination on 23rd of February as “suspects” to explain ourselves regarding the case file of Terra Incognita squat getting evicted on 17/8/2020. This is a new repressive movement that comes to be added after the arrests on the 8th of February, with 3 of our companions G. Voulgari, Panos Kalaitzis and Th. Chatziaggelou (member of our collective) getting arrested after the arson attack at the FNRR (Foundation for National and Religious Reflection). On the 14th of February, after the forced DNA collection of our comrade Th. Chatziaggelou, we are informed that he was called for a new interrogation process regarding the eviction of Terra Incognita squat.
In the following days, other calls were sent to people. The voluminous case file contains charges for making and possessing explosives, forming a gang, forgery, theft of electricity and any other form of energy, flares and fireworks and the legislation on weapons – use of weapons in combination with another crime. We got a deadline for the 9th of March, as the case file had not even been given to the lawyers themselves to have a full update of the “data”, and on that date the memorandums were submitted in the presence of the lawyers.Between the people that have been called there are some members of our collective, but there are, also, people that did not actively participate in the squat and others that used to participate in other collectives during the years.

Athens,Greece: Some updates about the gathering and arresting on Viktoria sq.in solidarity with immigrants

After the events of the previous days with the “sweep” operations from the cops in the neighborhoods of the center of Athens, arresting and moving undocumented people to detention centers and the arrests of our comrades who stood up, we held a gathering in Viktoria square (17/3).
Dozens of comrades and people of the neighborhood joined us in reclaiming the square, we handed out texts, read texts on the speaker, hanged banners and discussed with people. After the gathering, we marched through the streets of Victoria until Agios Panteleimonas and back to the square. We shouted slogans against the state, its police and its institutional racism and in solidarity with migrants. A MAT squad followed us after a certain point but kept a distance and nothing happened.
THE SWEEP OPERATIONS COME FIRST FOR “THE OTHERS” THEN FOR EVERYONE
THE SQUARE IS FOR EVERYONE EXCEPT COPS AND FASCISTS
SATURDAY 19/3 14:00 VIKTORIA SQUARE DEMO AGAINST BORDERS,PUSHBACKS, CONCENTRATION CAMPS AND RACISM

Today, 16/03, we gathered outside GADA, after the arrest of our comrades in Victoria Square where the cops in an organized operation against refugees and migrants bullied and arrested those who tried to stop them. Among the 14 arrested is a comrade active in the Community of Squatted Prosfigika. The gathering of about fifty people was attacked by the cops with aggressive characteristics after our comrades refused to leave their position. They hit comrades with shields and globes, threw people down and kicked them.
As we were returning to our neighborhood after the gathering, cops blocked our way, forcing us to go elsewhere deliberately, knowing that we were from Prosfigika. Then they chased us to Trichonidos and entered our neighborhood. Our comrades defended our community by making it clear to the cops that the Prosfigika neighborhood will never be a breeding ground for bullying and threats. People who were already in the neighborhood opened the doors for the comrades, the corresponding positions were taken, while at the same time they were heard by their radios to retreat.
If we do not resist in all neighborhoods, our cities will become modern prisons!
We stand with migrants, deportation to cops and Nazis!

Patra city,Greece: Expropriation in a supermarket and distribution at a street farmer’s market

Patra Now – Expropriation in a supermarket and distribution at a farmer’s market.
Today 3/3 in the morning, an expropriation of essential goods from the supermarket AB Vassilopoulos in the area of Ag. Sofias and their distribution in the adjacent market took place. Texts were handed out and fliers were thrown. The following is the announcement:
Everything belongs to us because everything is stolen
Block / self-reduce the increased cost of living that is the result of the bosses’ crisis being passed on to our backs
At the present juncture all of us at the bottom of society are experiencing an unprecedented attack by the economic and political elite. State and capital are seeking in every way to pass on the cost of the deep ongoing capitalist crisis to the poor, the unemployed, the precariously employed, the low-paid, pensioners and immigrants. An attack that has been going on for years with the slashing of wages, pensions and welfare structures, with the dismissals and squeezing of workers, the dismantling of public health, education, transport, the plundering of nature for their “development” and profits. The health crisis of covid-19 magnified this attack and it is now understood that the pandemic is primarily hitting the people of our class. The rich are getting richer, the poor and the dispossessed are groaning under the burden of unemployment, precarious work, boss terror in the workplace and the frightening rise in the cost of living.
