Banners for political prisoners

In the past few days we have hung banners for political prisoners in neighbourhoods in the east:

the request for the release of Giannis Michailidis, who is being held in revenge despite having fulfilled the necessary conditions for his release since December – and after 8.5 years of detention

the Court of Appeal of Dimitris Hadjivassiliadis and Vangelis Stathopoulos, sentenced to 19 years’ imprisonment in the first instance for his solidarity with a wounded and persecuted comrade

on the case of Haris Mantzouridis, who has been detained for months with serious health consequences, on the basis of an “anonymous phone call” and an “orphan” DNA sample, and against all forms of imprisonment

for Thanos Hatziangelou and Georgia Voulgaris, detained since 8 February, and Panagiotis Kalaitzis, incarcerated for the same case with the only evidence his personal relations with one of the defendants Continue reading Thessaloniki,Greece: Banners for political prisoners

Athens,Greece: Action claim by queers (and) anarchists

Action claim by queers (and) anarchists

The outcome of Zackie’s murder did not come as a surprise. On the contrary, it filled us with more anger, it made it clear to us again that the state is against us and wants us dead. We are under constant threat whether the killers are within or outside. We are under no illusions that the state protects us, only we create the conditions for our self-protection from our oppressors.

Not only does the state not exist to protect us, but it is the institution that (re)produces patriarchy, heteronormativity and property, among other things. These are the manifestations of the culture of power that armed Demopoulos and Hortarias, and arm the hand of any would-be assassin who feels they can exercise power over queer bodies that have no value in society’s sizable heteropatriarchal matrix. Queer bodies, like all oppressed bodies: drug addicts, immigrant(s), Roma, women, disabled, workers, in this society count for less than a pane of glass. Athens, Greece: Taking responsibility by Anti-state Saboteurs

Athens, Greece: Taking responsibility

For 3 years now, the far-right government of the ND has intensified state repressive action against those who fight and stand against its brutal capitalist plans.

The repressive attacks, frame-ups and persecutions against militants are countless. In these 3 years we have witnessed demonstration bans, torture of protesters and prisoners, informal hostage-taking of anarchists under harsh restraints, arrests in the pile, intimidation with non-existent DNA and detention. The purpose of all these state practices is to completely cut off and isolate militants from social resistance and physically eliminate them. Athens, Greece: SOLIDARITY MARCH 14 MAY FREEDOM TO DIMITRIS HATZIVASILIADIS AND VANGGELIS STATHOPOULOS

SOLIDARITY MARCH 14 MAY 2022

THE REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE IS THE LUNG OF EVERY SOCIAL STRUGGLE
Reality is harsher than our words can describe. We live under the boot of unscrupulous oligarchs who distribute to the plebs only bombs, terror, disease, poverty and endless exploitation. What else but resistance by all means can guarantee the hope of a free life? The project of uninterrupted revolutionary struggle is not a theory, but is embodied by those who organize today against tyrannical power. The armed rebels who take up the responsibility of bringing this project to life here and now are the raw material of the revolutionary movement.
In the person of comrade Dimitris Hatzivasileiadis, who was captured in August 2021, after 2 years on the run, and sentenced to 16 years in prison, the state punishes the undertaking of a social duty – that is, practical resistance to its regime of terrorism: Assuming sole responsibility for the custody of the Revolutionary Self-Defence Organization’s seal weapon, but also for the attempt to reconstruct the guerrilla based on the strategy of the organization, which ceased its activity in 2017. In the words of the comrade, the Revolutionary Self-Defence Organization was an example “where the guerrilla, starting with the few political forces available, attempts to strengthen the social insurrection, to protect it and to deposit a revolutionary line within it” and “did its duty as long as it could, as long as there was a collective body that recognized this duty.” Continue reading Athens, Greece: SOLIDARITY MARCH 14 MAY FREEDOM TO DIMITRIS HATZIVASILIADIS AND VANGGELIS STATHOPOULOS

Athens, Greece: Claim of Responsibility / Fire against a company that collaborates with prisons by Anarchists

Claim of Responsibility / Fire against a company that collaborates with prisons

As a small participation in the Easter celebrations, we carried out an arson attack on a KONE car of a multinational company that collaborates with prisons, in Ioustinianou street in Exarcheia on Saturday night 23/4.

The class bias of the judiciary is made clear by a series of cases involving accused businessmen, politicians, cops and fascists, who are put on record, end up with acquittals or short sentences, as opposed to the proletarian accused that are piled up in prisons all over the country for years. Especially in the case of political prisoners with a militant attitude throughout their imprisonment, the demonstrativeness of the State and the authorities unfolds at every opportunity. With special conditions of detention, lengthy procedures, late decisions, interruption of permits, etc., imprisoned comrades are confronted with a system which on the one hand depoliticizes their action and on the other hand creates a regime of exception around them. Athens,Chalandri : Claim of responsibility action at the Court of Justice of Peace (Greece)

Claim of responsibility action at the Court of Justice of Peace(The Magistrate’s Court is a court of first instance in civil cases and is composed of a single Judge, the Magistrate, assisted by the Registrar.)

“Or will they be left only with the stubborn desire to continue on their way and continue to risk themselves and everything else? An impetus perhaps to be tested and so that they may therefore have the courage to tell others that to be tested in this fierce struggle means de facto that you are creating, and therefore living now and not in some glorious future, the freedom that motivates and animates our steps.”

So here we are. At a time when capitalism and market domination, having exhausted the “solutions” to defuse the crises they themselves cause, are choosing to turn to arms once again. Another diffuse conflict between the “superpowers” and capital over the redistribution of the sources of wealth and the readjustment of spheres of influence. At the apparent end of the covid-19 global crisis, it is time to set the chessboard again. About the upcoming trial regarding the incident of 2018 with the hunter in Evia (Greece)

23-04-2022

Republished from a counter-information website. “About the upcoming trial regarding the incident of 2018 with the hunter in Evia On May 26, 2022, the court case for the incident that happened about 3.5 years ago, on December 26, 2018, in Evia, concerning a dispute with a hunter, will be heard at the Single-Member Court of Appeal for Felony Cases in Chalkida. The persons brought on trial are two.

For reasons not at hand, however, both this text and the political opening of the case is now being done only by the signator. What happened in December 2018 was a spontaneous attempt to prevent a hunter from pursuing his killing hobby and kill an animal. After being asked repeatedly to stop to no avail, tension ensued, the result of which was that his shotgun was thrown somewhere in the woods. With the hunter in a furious state the end of the incident came with our departure from the scene. The hunter called the police and as a result we were stopped on the route by a number of their vehicles and arrested us.

The charges held against us were robbery (for the shotgun) which is a felony and theft (of a cell phone) which is a misdemeanor. At the same time, a restrictive condition to leave the country was imposed, which is still in force today. More about the incident and the statements, role and attitude of the hunting clubs on the case can be found in the previous text published here (editor’s note: this text can be found translated inside the blog here). Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim for the incendiary attack on the political office of Development Minister Adonis Georgiades by Proletarian Cell Dimitris Christoulas

“The occupying government of Tsolakoglu literally annihilated my possibility of survival, which was based on a decent pension which for 35 years I alone (without state support) had been paying for it. Because I am of an age that does not give me the individual possibility to react (not excluding of course if a Greek would take the kalashnikov the second would be me) I find no other solution than a decent end before I start to look in the trash for my alimony. I believe that the young people with no future will one day take up arms and hang the national traitors upside down in Syntagma Square, as the Italians did to Mussolini in 1945 (Loreto Square in Milan)” Dimitris Christoulas*
We take responsibility for the incendiary attack on the political office of Adonis Georgiades, the representative of capital, politician responsible for the poverty and misery suffered by the people through poverty.
From the economic crisis of 2009 from which the country never came out, to the socialization of the losses of capital from the pandemic Covid 19, the latest increases in the price of electricity, fuel and almost all essentials are added to the already unbearable cost of survival of the working class and the people, to the pre-existing queues of the ΟΑΕΔ (Employment Insurance) , to the pension cuts, to the crumbs of the basic wage. The “development” invoked and evangelised by the domestic bourgeoisie is reflected physically and materially in people who die trying to keep warm, who look in the garbage for food, who commit suicide for economic reasons. It is reflected in workplaces that are graveyards for people of our class, where dozens of workers do not return home because a few extra euros were not “wasted” for the safety of the workers. Their growth translates into slow death in the corridors of hospitals. To the nearly 27,000 deaths from Covid 19, to the blockade of care in public hospitals amidst the increasing privatisation of the ΕΣΥ (National Health Service). Their deployment amounts to a daily battle for the survival of the next day for the majority of society at the same time as a handful of industrialists, shipowners and contractors continually speculate on our backs, reap the rewards of the toil and slavery we produce, extract surplus value from our starvation wages, continually devaluing the value of our labour power.
