In the night of 6th to 7th April in Bourges and surrounding area we sabotaged the electricity network that supplies the “bastion of the national ground defence” where military academies, the General direction of Terrestrial Technical Weapons, Technical Training Centres rub shoulders with “the first industrial concentration pole of Defence in Europe” : Missile manufacturer MBDA, canon maker KNDS (Nexter), equipment suppliers Roxel, Michelin, Mécachrome, Auxitrol Weston, ASB Aerospatiale, etc, and their dozens of subcontractors.
Wars are the birth certificates of States, their arsenals and their armies their health and calling cards.
For States, the race to military strength is a question of survival where attack and defence confront each other and it is always the population who suffer. Armies are not produced for July 14th parades but to sell and put to use. This shitty country is second exporter of technologies of death in the world, which they supply to about sixty States. This militarisation leads to obedience, conquest, massacres, rape, imprisonment, destruction.
Wars and Peace are the false alternatives of a strategic continuity of all powers: to enslave and appropriate everything that they can reduce to the level of resources. This crude reality is veiled daily by propaganda as subtle as it is crude. Each camp employs the same tricks: “the other is a threat”, “the other is a monster”, “our values and our cause are the only just ones”, “we are merely responding to an assault”.
We are of those who want to rip up the myths that make the oppressed solidarize with their oppressors. From the front to behind the scenes, the war effort rests on our adhesion and massive mobilisation as in this military-industriel basin.
Here and elsewhere, each one, actively or passively, plays their part of responsibility in what keeps the war machine running.
However, far from the virile hierarchies and their disciplinary stench, what’s stopping us from throwing ourselves in a wear and tear fight against all wars and their causes, domination one fine day?
It is always possible and absolutely necessary to oppose the warmongers, so let’s desert the ranks and onwards!
