Almost 12 months have passed since 31/10/2024. Therefore, the Solidarity Assembly for fugitives, persecuted and imprisoned fighters, in Athens, Greece, is considering to organize two days of action and in memory of our comrade.

During our first discussions around the topic, and while in contact with comrade Mariana Manoura, we came up with the idea of an event (Thursday 30th October) about other comrades who have lost their lives in similar ways during the past, hopefully with the participation of comrades from other countries with similar experiences.

We aim for these two days to end with a demo (Friday 31st October) in memory of the armed fighter Kyriakos Ximitiris.

Even though the main thing we will be focusing on is the one year
anniversary of the loss of our comrade Kyriakos Ximitiris, we don’ t
want the persecutions of the rest of our comrades to receive any less attention in the movement’s thoughts and actions. We consider both matters very important, with the specific weight each one of them carries.

In this context, we send you this email, so that other assemblies in
Athens and everywhere else can include this topic in their agendas as well. It is of great importance to us that the whole movement comes together in this struggle – in memory of our comrade Kyriakos Ximitiris and in solidarity with the imprisoned comrades for the Ampelokipi case– now that one year since 31st October is coming up.

We remind you that these topics are discussed weekly in our Assembly.
Therefore, we consider everyone’s participation very important in order to be able to strengthen the upcoming actions in memory of our comrade and in solidarity with every comrade who is persecuted in the Ampilokipi case.

At the same time, we invite groups, collectives, assemblies and comrades here in Greece, but also abroad, to take action or support this struggle in any way they see fit, so that this case is highlighted in its entirety.

P.S.: We also want to let you know about a last-minute issue– we knew for a while now that this possibility existed : All comrades imprisoned for the Ampelokipi case have been called in for an additional interrogation. The process will take place in the 23rd, 24th and 25th of September. In the light of this development, we have decided that we will call for solidarity gatherings on these days, where the interrogation will take place, to stand by our comrades’ side.

information.
