EVERYONE TO SÜNDI / ALLE ZUM SÜNDI

The industrial monster is at the door! The biggest pit in Europe – the
Hambach Mine, so-called “Germany” – is getting bigger day by day. A
precious woodland we call “the Sündi” (once part of the Hambacher
Forest) stands directly in its path, right next to the ruins of the
former village of Manheim (which coal-giant RWE has also been laying to
waste).

Since September the Sündi has been squatted! Where a world-eating coalmine was scheduled to expand, an autonomous zone has sprung up in its place, blocking the expansion of the pit and the system of death it powers. But now we have the news that the state will attempt an eviction, possibly as soon as January 6.

Berlin (Germany): double incendiary attack against the concrete industry

via: sansnom Translated by Act for freedom now!

[On the night of Sunday to Monday, December 2 in Berlin, at around 3am, a double incendiary attack destroyed around twenty concrete trucks at two industrial sites in northern Berlin. The 8 concrete mixers torched in Gehrenseestraße (Lichtenberg district) belonged to the Mexican multinational Cemex. And the 9 concrete mixers torched on Pyramidenring (Marzahn district) belonged to the German company HeidelbergMaterials.

You may recall that these two global concrete giants had already been attacked several times in the German capital: on December 27, 2023, CEMEX was set ablaze for the first time (five concrete mixer trucks arsoned, as well as the bulk conveyor belt and a technical building near the silos), then a second time on January 19, 2024 (two excavators present on the Berlin A100 highway construction site). On March 15, 2024,HeidelbergMaterials was attacked (six concrete trucks destroyed and three excavators damaged on the A100 highway construction site).

Here is a translation of the claim for the latest attack, on December 2, which hit both Cemex and HeidelbergMaterials at two separate sites, a text that appeared on indymedia germany on the same day].

Switch off the concrete industry

Flames once again lit up Berlin’s cold, dark nights. On the morning of December 2, machines and vehicles belonging to concrete giants Cemex and Heidelberg Materials were reduced to ashes.

Berlin (Germany) : A cement giant loses its concrete trucks

[On the night of March 14/15 in Berlin, at around 3:50 a.m., six concrete trucks were completely destroyed and three other machines (excavators) damaged by flames on the A100 freeway construction site in Kiefholzstrasse. The concrete mixers belonged to the German HeidelbergMaterials group, the world’s second-largest cement producer. On December 27, 2023, the site of another concrete giant, CEMEX, was attacked in Berlin, setting fire to five concrete mixer trucks, the bulk material conveyor belt and a technical building near the silos. And on January 19, 2024, two excavators on the same Berlin A100 freeway site had already been consumed by the flames of anger.

Here is a translation of the communique about the March 15 attack on HeidelbergMaterials, published on indymedia germany on the same day].

Arson attack on HeidelbergMaterials // Attacking colonial legacies // Stopping the A100

Armed with incendiary devices and rage, last night we temporarily rendered harmless a HeidelbergMaterials AG cement plant on the A100 construction site. To do so, we set fire to several concrete mixers and excavators on the plant site. With over 800 subsidiaries, HeidelbergMaterials is the world’s second-largest cement producer – and the second-most climate-damaging company in Germany, behind RWE. But others have provided a detailed description, in a communique for the attack on CEMEX at the end of December 2023, just how environmentally damaging cement production is.

Berlin: news from Tesla and a second communique from the Volcano Group

A week after a high-voltage power line tower in Berlin caught fire at dawn on March 5, deliberately bringing Tesla’s European electric vehicle production plant to a standstill, the plant was only reconnected to the power grid on March 11. And two days later, on Wednesday March 13, it was finally able to start up again in the presence of its CEO Elon Musk, who came to Berlin-Grünheide to be cheered by his brave workers, before meeting local politicians. However, “it will still be some time before production resumes in full, but the most important step has been taken”, according to plant manager Andre Thierig. Knowing that each day spent without electricity or production cost between 50 and 60 million euros, we leave it to you to calculate Tesla’s losses for these eight days of shutdown.

While the 5,000 inhabitants of the Freienbrink district were reconnected the very same day, it was a completely different matter for grid operator E.DIS to be able to reconnect the Tesla factory, given the huge amount of energy required by the 12,500-strong gigafactory. A vast emergency worksite was therefore immediately deployed in the field where the burnt-out pylon was located. Firstly, to build a temporary access road from the adjacent forest in order to transport heavy machinery, then to dig out from under the muddy earth some of the cables linking this pylon to the Erkner transformer station, and finally to gradually install a structure parallel to the damaged steel giant after draining the soil beneath its feet. All this in an area that is now entirely fenced off, with work being carried out at breakneck speed in 3×8 shifts (day and night), under constant police protection backed up by private security guards.

Bremen, Germany : Switch Off Tren Maya / disrupt Deutsche Bahn

Bremen: Switch Off Tren Maya / disrupt Deutsche Bahn

We got together last night to set fire to two Deutsche Bahn [DB] vehicles with incendiary devices. This company is not only synonymous with expensive rail links and crumbling infrastructure, but is also deeply involved in the arms industry, exploitation and neo-colonialism. In concrete terms, we attacked the DB to make visible the struggles against the Tren Maya in Mexico.

We light rebel fires for the indigenous populations of Chiapas, Comunidad Indígena Otomí, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana. We say: “Compañer@s! you are not alone, your resistance is with us!”

As part of the huge Tren Maya infrastructure project, two railroad lines have been built through the Mexican jungle, with the main aim of bringing mass tourism to the indigenous provinces. Deutsche Bahn, which also strives to present itself as green and sustainable, is part of the project, making money by destroying the Mexican forest – in cooperation with arms companies, the Mexican army and the USA.

Düsseldorf (Germany): incendiary sabotage of railroad tracks.

de.indymedia,21 January 2024

[Switch off] Rail strike extended

We took advantage of the back-to-back strikes and protests to paralyze the rail tracks near Düsseldorf in the Eller district again two weeks ago, using an incendiary device. They could not be repaired before the start of the freight strike. The fact that the State Protection Service (Staatsschutz) is now leading the investigation shows us the potential that such simple means can develop with the right timing.

We believe that a state that destroys our means of subsistence and profits from imperialist wars is not worth protecting at all. On the contrary, we must protect ourselves from it.

Berlin, Germany: Against environmental destruction, oppression and war – fire for CEMEX concrete plan

Inspired by a series of actions and sabotages against “the world of concrete” in France (2), Belgium and Switzerland, we visited the CEMEX concrete plant on Schleusenufer in Berlin-Kreuzberg in the early hours of December 27 and used fire to stop several concrete mixer trucks and bring the conveyor belt and a technical building to a standstill.

A master among the climate killers

The wasteland of concrete and asphalt continues to spread. In Germany alone, up to 30 hectares of living soil are buried under the most sought-after building material every day. Roads, squares, commercial areas, industrial plants and houses; huge parts of the earth’s surface are already sealed and infrastructure projects such as dams, freeways, bridges, airports etc. consume several billion tons of concrete every year.

Bremen (Germany): attack on “Space Tech Europe” trade fair

Bremen , attack on “Space Tech Europe” trade fair

Attack on Space Tech Europe – Europe’s largest trade fair and conference for aerospace technology and services.

Space Tech Expo Europe

Space Tech Europe takes place from November 14 to 16, 2023, for the sixth time in the exhibition halls of the city of Bremen. It is Europe’s largest and most important exhibition and conference for space technologies and services. Here, the facets of the aerospace industry are brought to life through in-depth discussions and the companies involved. The aim: business, networking and presentation of new developments. Halls 4 to 6 of the show are dedicated to space production and services, components and systems engineering for spacecraft, as well as space launchers and satellite programs. More than 650 exhibitors from over 40 countries are present. A significant proportion of these exhibitors operate under the Military keyword. Alongside the five largest space companies Ariane, Orbitale Hochtechnologie Systeme (OHB), Airbus Defense and Space, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Center for Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM), DSI Aerospace, Polaris Spacecraft, Shieldex and Ferchau, the city of Bremen and its university (Humans on Mars) will also be represented. Parallel to the show and at the same venue, a conference is held to discuss technical, political and strategic details.

Attack from the rear

We took advantage of the trade fair to take an offensive action by an anti-capitalist and anti-militarist climate movement in the late afternoon of November 14. As participants gathered inside for networking, we met to express our hostility. We blocked off the street behind the exhibition center with barricades of burning tires, and threw bottles of paint and fireworks against the glass facades of the halls. It all came crashing down. The aim was to interrupt their comfortable exchanges with an offensive intervention. Representatives of the arms industry had to be confronted with the consequences of their business.

Tesla in flames -Switch Off – the system of destruction! (Frankfurt, Germany)

Tesla in flames

The International Motor Show (IAA) was held in Munich last week. At this summer show, all manner of multinationals were once again able to show off their gleaming, beautiful cars and congratulate themselves on their economic success in their air-conditioned conference rooms, limousines and exhibition halls.

At the same time, this summer has once again been full of fires. In Rhodes. In Portugal. In Maui (island of Hawaii). At the same time, many people’s homes were flooded. In Slovenia and Austria.
Many people’s lives were shattered. These deadly catastrophes have many causes, and the IAA is just one of them. We say Switch off the system of destruction!

So we torched a few new Tesla cars this evening in Frankfurt. In salute to the Munich protests. One of many attacks on the destructive automotive industry.

Hamburg (Germany): sabotaging the freight traffic of one of Europe’s largest ports

Hamburg : sabotaging the freight traffic of one of Europe’s largest ports.

[On the night of Thursday September 7 to Friday September 8, a triple sabotage attack was carried out on the rail freight traffic of one of Europe’s largest ports (Hamburg ranks just behind Rotterdam and Antwerp in terms of tonnage). At around 2.40 a.m., a cable fire was reported on the rail bypass north of the city, at Deelwisch Street. Then at around 3 a.m., a second fire was reported to the southeast on a railroad line in the Walter-Rudolphi-Weg area of Allermöhe, and finally a third at around 3.40 a.m. directly on the Hamburger Hafenbahn line at Heykenaukamp. In each case, signalling and communication cables located in shafts along the tracks were destroyed by the arson attacks.

As well as impacting container train traffic to and from the Port, the sabotage also affected long-distance passenger trains, particularly between Germany’s two largest cities (Hamburg and Berlin), where on Friday 11 trains were completely cancelled, 17 were partially cancelled and 21 were significantly delayed. Passenger rail traffic will not return to normal until Sunday, and needless to say, this sabotage has caused an outcry across the Rhine from the authorities, with Federal Transport Minister Volker Wissing, for example, castigating “climate extremists” (Klimaextremisten) who “have lowered their inhibition threshold yet again” with “such attacks, which constitute a form of terrorism”.
Below is a translation from the German of the communique issued on the same day (September 8) on de.indymedia].
