[On Tuesday, August 19, in Kassel (Hesse region), at around 3 a.m., flames engulfed four civilian vehicles belonging to the German army (Bundeswehr) fleet, parked on the site of the former Lüttich barracks in the Marbachshöhe district. All four vehicles (one Iveco, two Mercedes Vitos, and one Volkswagen station wagon) were completely destroyed in the attack, with damages estimated at €150,000 by the police. Never ready for war! Fire to the Bundeswehr vehicle depot in Kassel

It’s war, and Germany is preparing for it. A military, political, and economic frenzy has broken out, and everyone is expected to rally behind it. “Operation Germany” is supposed to get the country ready for war within five years, and camouflage is popping up everywhere: Rheinmetall, KNDS, and others are snapping up sites one after another, the civilian clause is crumbling in universities, Volkswagen’s management is openly considering getting into the arms business, hospitals and supply structures are being prepared for war, and the Bundeswehr (German army) is promoting military service in schools, on social media, and on billboards through carefully polished marketing campaigns. Investment in armaments is becoming a principle of sustainability.

Berlin (Germany): cutting power to Europe’s largest technology park  

[Note of Sans Nom: On Tuesday, September 9, in the southern districts of Berlin, at around 3:30 a.m., flames engulfed two 35-meter-high, 110-kV electricity pylons located on Königsheide Street in the Johannisthal district, cutting power to Europe’s largest technology park located nearby in Altendorf. Steel chains were also wrapped around the cable insulation sheaths to cause a short circuit once they had melted in the flames. These two pylons are located at the end of the overhead line, where electricity passes from the air to the underground route.
More broadly, all of the southern districts of the German capital were left without power, including its 50,000 residents, 3,000 businesses (including those in the technology park), shopping centers, trams, a dozen schools (which remained closed), traffic lights, and telephone communications.
The temporary connection system that was put in place only managed to restore full power after 60 hours (on the afternoon of Thursday, September 11), and repairs to the network on the two pylons are expected to last until 2026, according to a spokesperson for the company Stromnetz. This power outage in Berlin is also the longest in decades, since the accidental outage in Köpenick in February 2019 affected only 30,000 households and lasted about 30 hours.

September 9, early morning: thousands of cities wake up, millions of people are roused from their sleep by the shrill beep of their alarm clocks, heralding the start of another day of monotony and apathy—15 minutes to drink a coffee before rushing off to work. An hour on public transport, a few exchanged glances, no one talking, everyone glued to their screens. Tons of cars crisscross the streets, the noise of sirens scaring the few birds circling above the city. Neighborhoods become a little more dreary every day. Loneliness settles in among the crowds, between concrete buildings, fences, and cameras. Surrounded by a police presence that threatens to suffocate us more and more.
Advertising screens encourage us to consume or invite us to join the German army (Bundeswehr). Sabotage warmongering and rearmament! “Whatever the cost.”

On the night of August 7-8, 2025, we sabotaged a freight railway line in the port of Hamburg, south of Wilhelmsburg. We deliberately chose this section because we did not want to impact rail passengers, who are already struggling, but rather the arms industry and warmongers.

The port of Hamburg is an important transshipment hub for military equipment. Tons of weapons, ammunition, military equipment, and components leave there every day.

Much of this military equipment is produced in Hamburg. Various Hamburg-based companies manufacture weapons themselves or knowingly supply specific components, whether optical, electronic, or mechanical. We are not living in the era of the junta, but we are living under the junta of our time. In recent years, and even more so in the last six years, the criminal organization of New Democracy has been ruling the country with the tactics of a monarchy and an authoritarian regime. Amid political scandals and state crimes, it “exploits” security to sell fear to the people. Its main argument in its attempt to gather a few votes is prisons and the harshest repression. In the country’s ostensibly “correctional” institutions and in the otherwise blind and independent justice system that decides who will become an inmate and who will not, their criteria are not evidence of guilt but ideological position, wallet size, skin color, party connections, and the privileged clique to which some belong.

It is clear that Greek courts are anything but incorruptible. Every day, hundreds of trials are held in the country with the aim of repressing and intimidating citizens. For the majority of people, exhausting laws, mass detentions, and illogical sentences have made conditions in the country’s prisons unbearable and inhumane, culminating in the New Democracy party’s repressive resolutions, such as the new penal code and the abolition of all the acquired rights of the state .

Three Rail fires in three months: some facts and thoughts (USA)

Over the last three months, three rail bridges have been damaged or destroyed by fires in the Oregon and Washington area. Each of these fires was set intentionally. No arrests have been made, and to our knowledge, none of these actions have been accompanied by any claim or explanation.

But the world around us is the only explanation we need.

As we barrel forward towards a future of untold climate disasters and total ecological mutilation, the processes of extraction show no sign of stopping… They have only accelerated, with companies racing to exploit new corners of the earth for rare-earth minerals, essential components in chips and semi-conductors, the building blocks of our new digital prisons. Power has proposed false “green solutions” that only serve to further our dependence on technology and extraction and polish the face of industrial capitalism.

The fires

In May, a fire completely destroyed a 100 year old wooden rail bridge along a remote stretch of the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad in Washington. By the time firefighters could reach the blaze, the rail bridge was reduced to a smoldering, maimed clump of metal. The fire struck just hours after a sale was completed of the railway, transferring ownership to the Western Forest Industries Museum. Rail Operations were limited at the time of the fire, but the new company had planned to fully resume rail traffic on the line, both tourist and freight. Officially entering the field of politics, all this is exemplified in his servility to Trump, who placed him in the front line of the reactionary, imperialist, sexist and supremacist offensive in course in the United States. The network of capitalist domination weaves ever tighter around us. As it does so, technological progress is the driving force that enables the destructive mega-machine to function and to penetrate ever more deeply into the most intimate aspects of our existence. Inert objects made of plastic and metal, equipped with sensors, microphones, lenses, microchips, etc., are increasingly becoming prostheses for social interaction, replacing genuine relationships and atrophying our cognitive capacities. Once we’ve become accustomed to them, these mechanisms operate with such omnipotence that most people can scarcely imagine extricating themselves from the digital grip. For many, the very thought triggers anxiety attacks. All that’s left, then, is a crowd of slaves to the machine, dependent, controlled, alienated and, most of the time, not even aware of this relationship.

Düsseldorf (Germany): Double blow to rail traffic!

[Note of Sans Nom: In Germany’s seventh largest city, Düsseldorf, located in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, the “Angry Birds Commando” has been making headlines regularly for several years. In August 2024, for example, it claimed responsibility for a fire involving railway signaling cables in Mettmann, adding to its previous acts of sabotage against rail traffic: one in Düsseldorf in January 2024, and five others in the same city claimed in May 2023. After generously sharing a manual entitled “Burning Cables for Beginners” in the fall of 2024, it revisited its own vision of collapse in its Communiqué No. 4 published in January 2025, then claimed responsibility for the sabotage of three new telecommunications antennas in June 2025.

In the middle of summer, the “Angry Birds Commando” has caused yet another disruption just days before a huge rush: on the night of Wednesday, July 30 to Thursday, July 31, on one of Germany’s most important railway lines, between Duisburg and Düsseldorf, where more than 620 trains pass daily (excluding freight trains) and just a stone’s throw from the airport, a double simultaneous attack was carried out on the cables along the tracks. The first damaged nearly 60 meters of cable near a signal box, and the second, a kilometer further on, destroyed five fist-sized cables, each measuring 20 meters in length.
