Barcelona, Spain : Banner denouncing the state murder of Nikos Sambanis by DIAS bike cops scum in Perama, Attica on 22/10/21, at the tattoo circus in Barcelona

October 29 marked one week from the night when three different groups of DIAS cops on bikes chased then shot more than 35 bullets at some people inside a car that did not stop at a “signal”. The chase ended in Perama where bullets from 7 different service weapons wounded one and killed another of the guys in the car. 7 cops shooting at three unarmed minors in cold blood. Nikos Sabanis, 18 years old, was killed by state fire. In their declarations they identify the suspects as Roma and inform the centre that they have no wounded. The nation is informed that 6 police officers are in hospital and of course that they had no intention to kill or knowledge of the suspects’ identity. The infamous Kougias solicitor takes on the killers and the interrogator decides that it is not necessary to keep them in custody.
We are still watching the same play 13 years after the murder of Alexis Grigoropoulos by cops Korkoneas – Saraliotis who continue to walk in our midst. In fact, the state apparatus and the fascists of the far-right are trying to increase our consumability and strengthen their media narrative. Killing by cops in Athens like their counterparts in America and the statements by ruling fascists about defence from the side of the killers are signs of the times and as such we take note of them.
We for our part, the oppressed, exploited, struggling, rebellious must take action while capital, states and fascists are arming themselves. As a minimal gesture to denounce this state murder in Greece we put up a banner on the opening day of the tattoo circus in Barcelona. This event is organized to provide material support for political prisoners and to strengthen the solidarity movement.

On COP26
Between the 31st of October and the 12th of November, representatives  of state and capital are going to descend upon Glasgow in the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference(COP26). If we look at previous and historical UN attempts to “tackle” climate change, all we can find is three decades of inaction and greenwashing. There is no evidence that COP26 will be any different; in fact, this conference seems to be reaching new heights of hypocrisy, smugness and arrogance.

Ryan Roberts’ trial for riot and arson is on the 25-27th October. If convicted he is facing a long sentence. He will be the first defendant to be brought to trial to have plead not guilty for charges relating to the 21st March Kill the Bill demonstration.

Athens,Greece: In solidarity with the two comrades DY and JO, we hanged a banner in Exarchia square

In the 13 October 2021, the two comrades JO and DY have been sentenced to prison for 5 years ans 6 months and 4 years and 6 months by the court of Stuttgart, Germany.
They have been accused for the beating of a group of fascists on 16. May 2020. This group called “Zentrum Automobil” is a fascist association that is trying to undermine syndicalist organization within the factory of Daimler (Mercedes Benz), while spreading racist and fascist ideology. They are well connected with AfD, Identitarian Movement as well as Blood and Honor and other Nazi groups. In the beginning of 2020, they were starting to organize together with the “Querdenken 711” movement, a far right mob of anti-vax protesters. They were appearing with German reich’s war flag and other fascist symbols as we have seen them in previous movements of the right. Sometimes they managed to bring up to 10.000 people on the streets which gave the breeding ground for fascist ideology to spread.

Athens,Greece: barricade and banner in solidarity with Köpiplatz in Berlin

The night before the announce eviction of the occupied Köpiplatz in Berlin, we hung a banner from evicted Gare Squat in Exarchia, which said: DEFEND KOPIPLATZ. Gare was until its eviction a space for the defence of Exarchia and we don’t want to give any space to the enemy for free.
After this we blocked the traffic on Kallidromiou Street in front of it with a burning barricade of tires and trashbins. This because this street is one of the most used from nearby Police station to spread terror in Exarchia. With this symbolic gesture – which can be extended in space, time and means of self-defense – we support Köpiplatz because they did not bow their head to the eviction order and decided to resist. Resistance means life.

Montreal ,Canada : Rail Lines Blockaded in Solidarity with Gidimt’en Week of Action

More than 50 people blockaded five parallel rail lines outside a CN rail yard in Point Saint Charles, Montreal for more than an hour and a half this Saturday, October 9th. We were there to support the Wet’suwet’en fight to defend their territory against the Coastal GasLink pipeline. There were two banners, one saying “#AllOutForWedzinKwa 1312” and the other “All Out For Wet’suwet’en #ShutDownCanada”. Multiple trains were stopped and some rerouted, and some still seemed be sitting idle on the tracks for at least an hour after the blockade ended. Maybe because of a backlog, or an inspection of the tracks.
We decided to leave as a demo, walking down the tracks for a while then and switching to the streets of the surrounding neighbourhood, chanting slogans against colonization and the police, and in solidarity with Wet’suwet’en land defenders. Some groups of young people were clearly excited to see us, took flyers, and followed behind us for a while before we dispersed. We significantly outnumbered the police who showed up, and they kept their distance. There were no arrests.
