Banner hung in solidarity with anarchist nihilist comrade Alfredo Cospito (Bristol,UK)

Bristol, Banner hung in solidarity with anarchist nihilist comrade Alfredo Cospito

On a typical bleak winter night on this grey prison island, during a typical poster sticking session, we hung a banner, in the Easton area, as a minimal sign of solidarity with our anarchist nihilist comrade Alfredo Cospito, who is on hunger strike since 20th October & is in conflict with the Italian fascist state after it put him in the torturous isolation prison system of 41 bis.

Our hearts are still with anarchist comrade Toby Shone who is also on partial hunger strike in solidarity with Alfredo.

Solidarity with Alfredo Cospito! From Barton to Bancali \\ Solidarité avec Alfredo Cospito! De Barton à Bancali /en/fr (Canada)

From the Barton Prisoner Solidarity Project. (Le français suit l’anglais)

We were out holding up a banner with a phone number on it to connect with prisoners at the Barton jail in Hamilton, Canada, the way we usually do, but we thought we would also take a moment to express our solidarity with anarchist prisoners in struggle.

Alfredo Cospito has been on hunger strike in Italy’s Bancali prison since October 20th to demand that he be moved out of segregation and have his phone calls, mail, and visits restored. He was placed in these conditions back in May essentially to punish him for staying involved in the anarchist struggle from inside.

Stop now the isolation of anarchonihilist Alfredo Cospito (Greece)

“Go on, comrades:

there is a whole world to be demolished!”

Alfredo Cospito – Nicola Gai

Alfredo Cospito has been in prison in Italy since 14 September 2012.He has taken responsibility together with Nikola Gai and has been sentenced for the shooting in the knees of the director of Ansaldo Nucleare and subsidiary of Finmeccanica, Roberto Adinolfi , an action carried out by the “Olga Cell – FAI/IRF in May 2012.In 2016 being already in prison he was accused of bomb attacks regarding the Scripta Manent operation. In 2020 he was finally accused of 2 bombs sent to the carabinieri training schools in Fossano, by the FAI/Anonymous Chaotic Rebellion. In November 2021 he was accused of incitement in the framework of the “Sibilla” operation, a case for which he was acquitted in December 2021.On 5 May 2022, after months of strict censorship of his correspondence, Alfredo was finally transferred from the Maximum Security Prison to the extreme isolation regime (41BIS), where he began a hunger strike on 20 October.

What is 41BIS isolation.

Talking about 41bis isolation is in fact talking about a slow and torturous murder. The circumstances are hardly comprehensible to the human mind since this law is the ultimate legal perversion. The prisoner is isolated 23 hours a day locked in a cell with the right to go outside for 1 hour. He is entitled to 10 minutes of supervised telephone communication per month with relatives only and 1 hour of supervised closed visitation per month,…In essence, 41bis means complete sensory isolation.

Call for a gathering in solidarity with the anarchist revolutionary hunger striker Alfredo Cospito, at the Italian embassy(Athens,Greece)

Call for a gathering in solidarity with the anarchist revolutionary hunger striker Alfredo Cospito, at the Italian embassy.

Until the demolition of every prison. For the anarchy in action.

Because for those who love life, to react when life and death are at stake is an act of duty. Anna Beniamino Alfredo Cospito, an anarchist prisoner of the “Scripta Manent” case -for the double attack on the carabinieri school in Fossano, signed by the FAI-RAT (Informal Anarchist FederationAnonymous Chaotic Rebellion)- has been on hunger strike against the 41-bis regime since October 20th in Bancali prison, Sassari, Sardinia. Already on 5th May, after ten years of imprisonment, the state has chosen to reinforce the imprisonment of the comrade (who until then had made a significant contribution to the anarchist discourse with letters, articles and interventions) through the regime of article 41-bis (carcere duro), a law that, in essence, upgrades the imprisonment to a special solitary confinement even on an intellectual and sensory level. It is a suffocating condition that almost eliminates all communication and contact with the outside world, as a torture of psychosomatic extermination of the political prisoners, with the aim of forcing them into political “repentance”.

Solidarity with Alfredo Cospito from Irkutsk anarchists

Alfredo Cospito is an Italian anarchist political prisoner, a member of the “Informal Anarchist Federation” (IFA).
Cospito was convicted for the attack on Roberto Adinolfi, general director of Ansaldo Nucleare, and was later sentenced to life imprisonment for the events of the night of June 2 to 3, 2006 at the Carabinieri Cadet School in Fossano (Cuneo), where two small bombs exploded, causing no death or injuries and no serious damage.

Germany: 30. November,Aktionstag in Solidarität mit Alfredo und den anderen Hungerstreikenden . en/it/de

30th November: day of action in solidarity with Alfredo and other comrades on hunger strike.

Since 20 October, the anarchist Alfredo Cospito has been on hunger strike against his detention in total isolation and torture and against imprisonment without parole. Other detained comrades (Anna Beniamino, Ivan Alocco, Juan Sorrocho and Toby Shone) as a sign of solidarity and to give strength to Alfredo’s struggle, have also started a hunger strike.

Alfredo has been in prison uninterruptedly for ten years, spent in High Security sections until his transfer to 41 bis. The 41 bis is a prison regime of annihilation, as it is designed to cause physical and mental damage through the technique of sensory deprivation; it is a political and social death sentence, aimed at cutting off all contact with the outside world.
Our comrade was transferred to these torture chambers because, despite his imprisonment, he never stopped contributing to the international anarchist debate with articles, editorial projects and proposals.

The re-examination of the 41 bis measure against Alfredo is set for 1 December. This hearing will be very important because it will have to pronounce on the legitimacy of the previous Justice Minister Marta Cartabia’s decision to apply the 41 bis prison regime against our comrade.

Between Storms: Anarchist Reflections of Solidarity with Wet’suwet’en Resistance

We have assembled this publication in solidarity with the ongoing Wet’suwet’en resistance to industrial expansion. This struggle for Indigenous self determination and land defence has become a landmark moment of rupture across the colonial nation of Canada and beyond. We felt the need to compile this zine in an effort to take a step back and witness the breadth and fierceness of these last few years – with a particular focus on the year that has just passed since the start of ‘Coyote Camp’ and the specific battle against the attempt to drill under Wedzin Kwa.
Not to produce some stale collection for the history shelves, but to inspire and learn from these events as they continue to unfold. As we go to print, CGL has just begun the drilling under the river that many have fought so hard to prevent. It’s a sad day and this part of their destruction will have devastating effects. But this doesn’t mean that this fight has been in vain, the project is not complete and opportunities for intervention abound.
