Leaving the SPVM Behind to Attack a High-Tech Hub: A Promising Anti-Capitalist May Day ( Montreal,Canada)
This May Day, Montreal’s annual anti-capitalist demonstration organized by the CLAC gathered in Jarry Park under the theme “No old normal, no new normal”. It was a sunny late afternoon, and the energy was high amid the banners and black flags as the demo began to snake through the residential streets of Villeray.
Heading west on De Castelnau, fireworks were set off, and construction cones were used to block the road behind us. The cops seemed confused about the route we were taking, which meant that there were less of them in our near vicinity. Dropping south onto Jean-Talon, the demo continued west through the viaduct beneath the St-Jérôme commuter rail line.

Turning south on Parc Avenue from Jean-Talon, the demo excitedly entered a second viaduct under the same rail line. This time, a surprise was in store for the police vans and bike cops waiting for the crowd to pass to the other side before continuing to trail the demo: smoke bombs were set off in the viaduct, and crow’s feet were deployed on the road to puncture the tires of any cop vans that might brave the smoke-filled passageway. These actions effectively blocked the viaduct, a chokepoint in the area, to all traffic.

After lockdown, let’s look at the situation we’re finding around us.
The pandemic has been the starting gun of a huge project of capitalist restructuring in which we are rapidly getting lost. London is already well within the bounds of being a ‘smart city’ — this means that every molecule in this seething metropole is in the process (or already) brought into one great artificial network: capitalism certainly, but largely virtual, nearly autonomous, diffused into everything around us, and into ourselves, into our bodies, into our minds.
Right now we are in the middle of a vast labyrinth. A spotless, serene dreamworld is being constructed. Total efficiency, total
interconnection, total isolation. The world is being rapidly shrunk into the shape of what can be calculated, predicted and processed by Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and the Internet of Things.
The last vestiges of vital and human connection are being flushed away, replaced by the management of this routine of ruthless exploitation and utter despair.
All the while the living earth is being incinerated — it’s already too late to stop this. We are already in the middle of the mass-extinction catastrophe. No worries. Capital will be here to transition from the ‘destructive’ practices of fossil fuel extraction to rare earth mineral mining (used for solar panels, wind turbines as well as all the smart technology their world is now predicated on), they’re already using slave-labour excavation in Guinea and the Congo. And the masses in our former colonial outposts fleeing death and chaos from the resultant shortages and resource wars? Well, the Napier Barracks Concentration Camp, the thousands washing up on the shores of the Med, the militarised border and detention system, gives you a taste of how they’ll deal with that scenario.
All the while markets drive into permanent instability, as familiar patterns fall away, ‘productive’ industry continues to be abandoned and speculative finance reasserts its domination over the world economy:
there will be (and already are) massive crashes and crises. Not a problem. We remember the last decade of punishing austerity, the hurling of swathes of the exploited onto a scrapheap, the wiring of every aspect of our existence into a rapacious so called ‘gig economy’ at the same
time as Victorian-style slum conditions increase at the margins, masses of this city can’t afford food, unemployment exceeds 1981 levels: the playbook here is very well established.
All the while surveillance technology — London already bristling with cameras, but supplemented by GPS, by our ‘devices’, by the very world we trudge through — is going into overdrive. Drones can be thrown into the mix too, and soon will be as common a sign of our ongoing occupation as
patrol cars. Oh well. We know exactly how this will all be used. The same way that this country has built a sprawling carceral system to tag, bag and warehouse anyone who falls through the cracks of this megamachine — not to speak of the brutal treatment reserved for anyone with the audacity to stand and fight it. This ‘bill’ gives us an idea of
which direction we’re heading in on that front.
So we’re losing our grip on things; the world is changing very quickly and we hardly know what to do with ourselves. Any form of struggle which has as its basis performative activist gestures, ‘community organising’ (whatever that means), ‘raising awareness’, enlisting more members to a
party, issuing demands for reform: these are not just quantitive and reactionary, they correspond to a world which no longer exists. The way that capitalism is going (and has been for a while) is to actually realise Thatcher’s dictum, to get rid of ‘society’. In this neo-feudalism there simply are no ‘politics’, no ‘rights’, no ‘democracy’, no ‘community’, not even in name — there is nothing to even pretend to be able to influence. Just a churning vortex in which we are
destined splinter and lose ourselves, winding out our time ‘waiting’ for something to break us out of this nightmare that will never come.
Without dignity– without passion, numbed, smothered, empty.
But we still have one thing that is really dangerous. We have an idea. An idea worth taking risks for, worth wagering what’s left of our lives on. If we can gain the courage of our convictions we can set off on an adventure to assert, proudly and without fear, a reality — a way of being which can explode the contours of the future that’s been laid out for us, of the grave that’s already been dug, and is beckoning for us.
Because this is exactly what power lacks. It can’t even comprehend it.
When it looks at the instability and chaos of our day it can only see something to be managed. It only sees the path of reintegration. But we can just about make out, if we try, something very different: a whole series of vulnerabilities, both material and mental (the terrain of battle is now everywhere), on the basis of which we can map out a plan
of attack. Because once we smash the illusion of inevitability, once we assert the beauty and strength of our idea against this world, everything about it can be reinterpreted. There is no longer a population to be watched, tracked and managed. There is an area of contained individuals any one of whom may have the same anger, the same dreams, as we do. There is no longer an economy to sacrifice to. There is an exploited ready to fight alongside against exploiters whose power
is fragile and whose claims to legitimacy are long gone. There is no longer an encroaching technology. There are so many nodes of an infrastructure, weak points ready to be targeted. Crucially there is no more inertia, there is an old world to be dispatched with, and a present moment, so long occulted and put off, ready to be seized back together, to be experimented with, to be lived to the full.
But what does this really mean? Do we just wait around for the next riot? What do we even do in a situation of mass insurrection? Are we to just be spectators, cheering on the ghettoised and excluded? Maybe contributing our own stone? And what happens the day after? The truth is that, at the moment, everything ‘goes back to normal’. We need to take
stock: we are already in a situation where they can’t keep control of the streets, in this new climate of ‘managed’ instability. Just look around this burning earth today, even this country can’t escape that trend, a quick glance to the west will satisfy you of that. In order to have a true, qualitative shift, we must break out of every routine, including those adorned in ‘violent’ trappings. We want to diffuse
amongst ourselves and express to the world a vision of insurrection and social war which goes beyond fights with the cops — because contrary to anarchist lore the police are not the real enemy, they are simply in the way.
The real enemy to confront with violence is our own reduced conception of what is possible, of what it means to live. To strip the mask off power, to see this system as the weak and frail thing it is, we must see what in us, despite all appearances, is really strong, and this is our capacity to begin an infinite, limitless, revolt, to breaks open our reduced imaginations— to wager our lives on that which cannot be represented, mediated or modelled. Against that, the courts, police stations, parliaments, boardrooms, the military, silicon valley, the chamber of commerce, the NATO/G8/G20/COP-?, the ‘anti-terror command’ centres, become what they really are — just so many absurd spectacles, with so many hammy actors, waiting to be charged off the stage, when the audience no longer has it in them to watch and cower in the dark a second longer.

La pandémie a été le coup d’envoi d’un énorme projet de restructuration capitaliste, dans lequel on est rapidement en train de se perdre. Londres est déjà bien partie pour être une « ville intelligente », ce qui signifie que chaque molécule de cette métropole bouillonnante est en train d’être intégrée (ou l’est déjà) dans un grand réseau artificiel : un réseau certes capitaliste, mais largement virtuel, presque autonome, répandu dans toute chose autour de nous et dans nous-mêmes, dans nos corps, dans nos esprits.
En ce moment, nous sommes au milieu d’un vaste labyrinthe. Un monde de rêve immaculé et serein est en train d’être construit. L’efficacité totale, l’interconnexion totale, l’isolement total. Le monde est rapidement réduit et limité à ce qui peut être calculé, prédit et traité par l’intelligence artificielle, la réalité augmentée et l’internet des objets.
Les derniers vestiges de liens humaines et vitaux sont en train d’être jetées aux chiottes, remplacées par la gestion de cette routine d’exploitation impitoyable et de désespoir absolu.
Entre-temps, la terre vivante est incinérée – il est déjà trop tard pour arrêter cela. Nous sommes déjà en plein milieu de la catastrophe de l’extinction massive. Pas de soucis. Le capital sera là pour assurer la transition entre les pratiques « destructrices » de l’extraction des combustibles fossiles et l’exploitation minière des minerais de terres rares (utilisées pour les panneaux solaires, les éoliennes et toutes les technologies intelligentes sur lesquelles a été fondé leur monde actuel) ; ils sont déjà en train d’utiliser du travail en conditions d’esclavage pour creuser des mines en Guinée et au Congo. Et les masses qui fuient la mort et le chaos provoqués par des pénuries et des guerres pour les ressources qui en découlent, dans nos anciens avant-postes coloniaux ? Eh bien, le camp de concentration de Napier Barracks*, les milliers de personnes qui échouent sur les côtes de la Méditerranée, les frontières militarisées et le système des camps de rétention vous donnent un aperçu de la façon dont ils vont gérer ce scénario.
Entre-temps, les marchés s’enfoncent dans une instabilité permanente, étant donné que les modèles familiers disparaissent, que l’industrie « productive » continue à être délaissée et que la finance spéculative réaffirme sa domination sur l’économie mondiale : il y aura (et il y a déjà) des faillites et des crises massives. Pas de problème. Nous nous souvenons de la dernière décennie d’austérité punitive, de la mise au rebut de nombre d’exploité.e.s, de l’intégration de tous les aspects de notre existence dans une économie rapace, appelée « économie des petits boulots », alors que des conditions de vie semblables à celles des faubourgs de taudis de l’époque victorienne se répandent, aux marges, que des masses d’habitants, dans cette ville, n’ont pas les moyens de se nourrir, que le chômage dépasse les niveaux de 1981 : le scénario ici est très clair.
Entre-temps, la technologie de surveillance – Londres est déjà hérissée de caméras, mais cela est complété par les GPS, par nos propres « appareils », par ce monde que nous traversons péniblement – est en train de passer à la vitesse supérieure. A tout cela on peut donc ajouter les drones, qui seront bientôt un signe aussi banal de l’occupation en cours que le sont les voitures de police. Mais bon. Nous savons exactement la façon dont tout cela sera utilisé. De la même manière que ce pays a construit un système carcéral tentaculaire afin d’étiqueter, d’emballer et d’entreposer quiconque passe entre les mailles de cette méga-machine – sans parler du traitement brutal réservé à quiconque a l’audace de se dresser et de la combattre. A ce propos, le nouveau « projet de loi » nous donne une idée de la direction vers laquelle nous allons.
Nous sommes donc en train de perdre le contrôle des choses ; le monde est en train de changer très vite et nous ne savons pas trop quoi faire. Toute forme de lutte qui se fonde sur des gestes activistes performatifs, sur l’« organisation communautaire » (quoi que cela puisse signifier), sur la « sensibilisation », sur l’enrôlement de plus de gens possible dans un parti, sur des demandes de réforme, etc. : tout cela n’est pas seulement quantitatif et réactionnaire, mais correspond à un monde qui n’existe plus. Le chemin que le capitalisme suit (et cela depuis un certain temps) consiste à réaliser le dicton de Thatcher : se débarrasser de la « société ». Dans ce néo-féodalisme, il n’y a tout simplement pas de « politique », pas de « droits », pas de « démocratie », pas de « communauté », même pas de nom – il n’y a rien que l’on puisse même faire semblant de pouvoir influencer. Juste un tourbillon dans lequel nous sommes destinés à nous diviser et à nous perdre, en « attendant » que quelque chose qui ne viendra jamais nous sorte de ce cauchemar.
Sans dignité, sans passion, engourdi.e.s, étouffé.e.s, vides.
Mais nous avons encore quelque chose qui est vraiment dangereux. Nous avons une idée. Une idée pour laquelle il vaut la peine de prendre des risques, sur laquelle il vaut la peine de parier ce qu’il nous reste de vie. Si nous pouvons gagner le courage de nos convictions, nous pouvons partir à l’aventure pour affirmer, fièrement et sans crainte, une réalité – une façon d’être qui peut faire exploser les contours de l’avenir qui a été tracé pour nous, de la tombe qui a déjà été creusée et qui nous attend. Parce que cela est exactement ce qui manque au pouvoir. Il ne peut même pas le comprendre. Quand il regarde l’instabilité et le chaos de notre époque, il ne peut y voir que quelque chose à gérer. Il ne voit que le chemin de la restauration. Mais nous pouvons à peu près discerner, si nous essayons, quelque chose de très différent : tout un tas de vulnérabilités, tant matérielles que mentales (le champ de bataille est maintenant partout), sur la base desquelles nous pouvons tracer un plan d’attaque. Parce qu’une fois que nous détruisons l’illusion que tout cela est inévitable, une fois que nous avons affirmé la beauté et la force de notre idée contre ce monde, tout à son sujet peut être réinterprété. Il n’y a plus une population à surveiller, à suivre et à gérer. Il y a une zone où sont retenus des individus, chacun desquels peut avoir la même rage, les mêmes rêves que nous. Il n’y a plus une économie à laquelle sacrifier. Il y a des exploité.e.s prêt.e.s à se battre aux côtés d’autres, contre des exploiteurs dont le pouvoir est fragile et dont les déclarations de légitimité sont révolues depuis longtemps. Il n’y a plus une technologie envahissante. Il y a tellement de nœuds d’une infrastructure, des points faibles prêt à être pris pour cible. Surtout, il n’y a plus d’inertie, il y a un vieux monde dont il faut se débarrasser et un moment présent, si longtemps occulté et remis à plus tard, prêt à être saisi à nouveau, ensemble, prêt à être expérimenté, à être vécu pleinement.
Mais qu’est-ce que cela signifie vraiment ? Attendons-nous simplement la prochaine émeute ? Et même, que ferions-nous dans une situation d’insurrection généralisée ? Devons nous nous contenter d’être des spectateur.trice.s et d’encourager les marginaux.les et les exclu.e.s ? Peut-être pouvons nous apporter notre propre pierre ? Et que se passe-t-il le jour d’après ? La vérité est que, pour l’instant, tout « revient à la normale ». Nous devons faire le point : nous sommes déjà dans une situation où l’État ne peut pas garder le contrôle des rues, dans ce nouveau climat d’instabilité « gérée ». Regardons cette planète qui est en feu, aujourd’hui, et même ce pays-ci ne peut pas échapper à cette tendance, un rapide coup d’œil à l’ouest [en direction de Bristol, théâtre d’une récente émeute ; NdAtt.] vous en convaincra. Pour obtenir un véritable changement qualitatif, nous devons nous débarrasser de toute routine, y compris celles qui sont ornées d’attributs « violents ». Nous voulons diffuser parmi nous et exprimer au monde une vision de l’insurrection et de la guerre sociale qui va au-delà des affrontements avec les flics – parce que, contrairement à ce qui voudrait une certaine habitude anarchiste, la police n’est pas le véritable ennemi, elle est simplement un obstacle. Le véritable ennemi, à affronter par la violence, est notre propre conception réduite de ce qui est possible, de ce que cela signifie de vivre. Pour enlever le masque du pouvoir, pour voir ce système comme la chose faible et fragile qu’il est, nous devons voir ce qui, malgré toutes les apparences, est vraiment fort en nous, et il s’agit de notre capacité à commencer une révolte infinie, sans limites, à dépasser nos imaginaires réduits – à parier nos vies sur ce qui ne peut être représenté, fait objet de médiation ou modélisé. Face à cela, les tribunaux, les postes de police, les parlements, les salles de conseil, l’armée, la Silicon Valley, la chambre de commerce, l’OTAN/G8/G20/COP- ?, les centres de « commandement anti-terroriste » deviennent ce qu’ils sont réellement – juste des spectacles absurdes, avec autant de mauvais comédiens qui attendant d’être chassés de la scène, lorsque le public n’aura plus la force de regarder et de se tapir dans le noir une seconde de plus.

Μετά την καραντίνα, ας αντικρίσουμε την κατάσταση γύρω μας.
Η πανδημία αποτέλεσε τον πυροκροτητή μιας τεράστιας διαδικασίας καπιταλιστικής αναδιάρθρωσης, εντός της οποίας βυθιζόμαστε ραγδαία. Το Λονδίνο έχει ήδη προσαρμοστεί για τα καλά στα πλαίσια μιας “έξυπνης πόλης” – αυτό συνεπάγεται πως κάθε στοιχείο σε αυτήν την ταραχώδη μητρόπολη βρίσκεται σε διαδικασία να εισέλθει (ή έχει ήδη εισέλθει) σε ένα γιγάντιο τεχνολογικό δίκτυο: καπιταλιστικό σίγουρα, όμως σε μεγάλο βαθμό ψηφιακό, σχεδόν αυτόνομο, διάχυτο στο περιβάλλον γύρω μας, ακόμη και στους εαυτούς μας, στο κορμιά μας, στα μυαλά μας.
Αυτήν ακριβώς τη στιγμή βρισκόμαστε στη μέση ενός αχανούς λαβύρινθου. Χαλκεύεται ένας κόσμος “ονειρικός”, αποστειρωμένος και μακάριος. Απόλυτη αποδοτικότητα, απόλυτη διασυνδεσιμότητα, απόλυτη απομόνωση. Με φρενήρεις ρυθμούς, ο κόσμος συρρικνώνεται σ’ ένα καλούπι πλήρως μετρήσιμο, προβλέψιμο και προσπελάσιμο απ’ την Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη (AI), την Επαυξημένη Πραγματικότητα (AR) και το Δίκτυο των Πραγμάτων (IoT). Τα ακροτελεύτια ψυχία ζωτικής κι ανθρώπινης επαφής σιγοσβήνουν, καθώς αντικαθίστανται από τη διαχείριση μιας ρουτίνας ανηλεούς εκμετάλλευσης και ολοσχερούς απόγνωσης.
Όλο αυτό το διάστημα, η ζωντανή φύση γίνεται στάχτη – είναι ήδη πολύ αργά να το αντιστρέψουμε αυτό. Βρισκόμαστε ήδη εν μέσω μιας μαζικής καταστροφής. Καμία ανησυχία · Το κεφάλαιο δηλώνει έτοιμο να μεταπηδήσει από τις “καταστροφικές” πρακτικές της εξόρυξης ορυκτών καυσίμων στις εξορύξεις σπάνιων γαιών (χρήσιμες για την κατασκευή ηλιακών πάνελ, ανεμογεννητριών, καθώς και για όλες τις έξυπνες τεχνολογίες στις οποίες βασίζεται πλέον ο κόσμος τους), ενώ ήδη χρησιμοποιούνται εργαζόμενοι ως δούλοι στις εξορύξεις στη Γουινέα και το Κονγκό. Κι αν οι μάζες των ανθρώπων στα πρώην (βρετανικά) αποικιοκρατικά προπύργια δραπετεύσουν απ’ τον θάνατο και το χάος της επακόλουθης έλλειψης πόρων και των πολεμικών επιστρατεύσεων; Λοιπόν, το στρατόπεδο συγκέντρωσης του Napier Barracks, το στρατιωτικοποιημένο σύστημα στα σύνορα και στις φυλακές, μας δίνει μια γεύση απ’ το τι διαχείριση επιφυλάσσεται για το σενάριο αυτό.
Εν τω μεταξύ, οι αγορές ωθούνται σε μόνιμη αστάθεια, καθώς τα γνώριμα σχήματα αποτυγχάνουν, η “παραγωγική” βιομηχανία συνεχίζει να παραμελείται, και το πλασματικό κεφάλαιο επανεπιβεβαιώνει την κυριαρχία του στην παγκόσμια οικονομία: Θα υπάρξουν (και ήδη υπάρχουν) μαζικά κραχ και κρίσεις. Κανένα πρόβλημα · Θυμόμαστε την τελευταία δεκαετία της τιμωρητικής αυστηρότητας, της ρίψης των νεκροσάβανων των καταπιεσμένων στη χωματερή, της πρόσδεσης κάθε πτυχής της ύπαρξής μας στην αδηφάγα αποκαλούμενη “οικονομία της πλατφόρμας” (ευέλικτη εργασία), την ίδια στιγμή όπου δυσχεραίνουν οι συνθήκες στις -βικτωριανής κοπής- φτωχογειτονιές των προαστίων, όπου οι μάζες της πόλης αυτής δεν μπορούν να εξασφαλίσουν την τροφή τους, όπου η ανεργία ξεπερνά τα επίπεδα του 1981: Το βιβλίο έχει ήδη γραφτεί πολύ καλά.
Όλο αυτό το διάστημα, η τεχνολογία της επιτήρησης -το Λονδίνο ήδη έχει ξεχειλίσει από κάμερες, συνεπικουρούμενες όμως και από GPS, από τις ίδιες μας τις ”συσκευές”, από τον ίδιο τον τρόπο κίνησής μας στον κόσμο- τείνει ταχύτατα σε υπερχείλιση. Στο όλο αμάλγαμα μπορούν να συμπεριληφθούν και τα drones, καθώς σύντομα θ’ αποτελούν -σε σχέση με τους παρόντες όρους καθυπόταξής μας- ένα στοιχείο τόσο κοινότοπο όσο και τα περιπολικά. Εν πάσει περιπτώση, κατανοούμε εξ ολοκλήρου πώς θα αξιοποιηθούν όλα αυτά. Με τον ίδιο τρόπο που αυτή η χώρα, οικοδομώντας έναν εκτεταμμένο σωφρωνιστικό σκελετό, στιγματίζει, τσουβαλιάζει και φακελώνει οποιονδήποτε ρίχνεται στις ραγισματιές τούτης της μεγα-μηχανής – για να μην αναφερθούμε στη βάναυση μεταχείριση όσων με τόλμη στέκονται στα πόδια τους και την πολεμούν. Αυτός ο “κατάλογος” μας δίνει μιαν ιδέα για το τι έχουμε ν’ αντιμετωπίσουμε στρεφόμενοι προς αυτήν την κατεύθυνση.
Χάνουμε έτσι την επαφή με τα γεγονότα. Ο κόσμος αλλάζει πολύ γρήγορα, κι εμείς μετά βίας γνωρίζουμε τι να κάνουμε με τους ίδιους μας τους εαυτούς. Όλες οι μορφές πάλης που βασίζονται στις επιτελεστικές ακτιβιστικές χειρονομίες, την “οργάνωση κοινοτήτων” (οτιδήποτε κι αν σημαίνει αυτό), την “αφύπνιση συνειδήσεων”, την ένταξη νέων μελών σε κάποια συλλογικότητα, την προώθηση μεταρρυθμιστικών αιτημάτων: Όλα αυτά δεν είναι απλώς αντιδραστικά και βασιζόμενα στην ποσότητα, αλλά αντιστοιχούν σε έναν κόσμο που πλέον δεν υπάρχει. Ο τρόπος κίνησης του καπιταλισμού (εδώ και κάποια χρόνια) είναι η έμπρακτη εφαρμογή της ρήσης της Θάτσερ, η εξάλειψη της “κοινωνίας”. Σε αυτήν τη νεο-φεουδαρχία, απλά δεν υφίσταται πολιτική, δεν υπάρχουν “δικαιώματα”, καμιά “δημοκρατία”, καμιά “κοινότητα”, ούτε καν κατ’ όνομα – δεν ευδοκιμεί τίποτα ικανό έστω και να προσποιηθεί πως ασκεί επιρροή στην πραγματικότητα. Υπάρχει μονάχα μια περιστρεφόμενη δίνη εντός της οποίας προοριζόμαστε να θρυμματιστούμε και να χάσουμε τον εαυτό μας, ενόσω εμείς αναλώνουμε τον χρόνο μας “περιμένοντας” κάτι να μας απελευθερώσει από δαύτον τον εφιάλτη, κάτι που δεν έρχεται ποτέ. Δίχως αξιοπρέπεια – δίχως πάθη, μουδιασμένες, πνιγμένες, κενοί.
Κατέχουμε ακόμα όμως κάτι πραγματικά επικίνδυνο. Έχουμε μια ιδέα. Μια ιδέα για την οποία αξίζει να ρισκάρουμε, για την οποία αξίζει να διακινδυνεύσουμε ό,τι απόμεινε απ’ τη ζωή μας. Αν οι πεποιθήσεις μας αποκτήσουν το απαιτούμενο θάρρος, μπορούμε να ξεκινήσουμε τη δική μας περιπέτεια για να διεκδικήσουμε περήφανα και άφοβα μία πραγματικότητα – έναν τρόπο ύπαρξης, ο οποίος μπορεί να ανατινάξει το περίγραμμα του μέλλοντος που σχεδιάζεται για εμάς, αυτού του τάφου που έχει ήδη σκαφτεί και μας αποζητά. Διότι αυτό ακριβώς στερείται η εξουσία, δίχως να μπορεί καν να το κατανοήσει. Ατενίζοντας το χάος και την αστάθεια των ημερών μας, μπορεί να δει μόνο αντικείμενα προς διαχείριση. Ανανγωρίζει μόνο τον δρόμο της εξομάλυνσης. Απεναντίας, εμείς, αν προσπαθήσουμε, μπορούμε να διακρίνουμε κάτι πολύ διαφορετικό: έναν πακτωλό τρωτών σημείων, τόσο υλικών όσο και πνευματικών (τα χαρακώματα της μάχης σήμερα εκτείνονται παντού), βάσει των οποίων μπορούμε να χαράξουμε μια στρατηγική επίθεσης. Διότι, άπαξ και συντρίψουμε την ψευδαίσθηση της βεβαιότητας, άπαξ και διατρανώσουμε την ομορφιά και τη δύναμη της ιδέας μας ενάντια σ’ αυτόν τον κόσμο, τα πάντα εντός του δύνανται να αναθεωρηθούν. Δεν υπάρχει πλέον μια μάζα να τεθεί υπό παρακολούθηση, ιχνηλάτηση και διαχείριση. Υπάρχει ένα πεδίο έμπλεο με ατομικότητες, οποιαδήποτε εκ των οποίων ενδέχεται να διέπεται από την ίδια οργή, τα ίδια όνειρα με εμάς. Δεν υπάρχει πλέον μια οικονομία στο όνομα της οποίας να θυσιαστούμε. Υπάρχουν εκμεταλλευόμενες κι εκμεταλλευόμενοι έτοιμοι να πολεμήσουν πλάι-πλάι ενάντια σε εκμεταλλευτές των οποίων η ισχύς είναι σαθρή, ενώ οι επικλήσεις τους στη νομιμότητα έχουν απαξιωθεί προ πολλού. Δεν υπάρχει πλέον μια τεχνολογία απροσπέλαστη. Υπάρχουν τόσο πολλά συμπλέγματα υποδομών, τόσο πολλά αφύλακτα σημεία έτοιμα να στοχοποιηθούν. Kαι, κυρίως, δεν υπάρχει πλέον αδράνεια. Υπάρχει ένας γερασμένος κόσμος ν’ αποτελειώσουμε, υπάρχει μια παροντική στιγμή -που τόσο καιρό βυθιζόταν στην αφάνεια και την αναβολή- έτοιμη να την επανακτήσουμε, να πειραματιστούμε μαζί της και να τη ζήσουμε στο έπακρο.
Αλλά τι σημαίνει πρακτικά αυτό; Να καθόμαστε καρτερικά στη γωνιά μας, περιμένοντας απλά τις επόμενες ταραχές; Στην τελική, πώς θα κινηθούμε σε μια κατάσταση γενικευμένης εξέγερσης; Να παραμείνουμε απλοί θεατές, ζητωκραυγάζοντας για τους γκετοποιημένους και αποκλεισμένους πληθυσμούς; Μήπως να συμβάλουμε κι εμείς με το λιθαράκι μας; Και τι θα συμβεί την επόμενη μέρα; Η αλήθεια είναι πως αυτήν τη στιγμή όλα δείχνουν μια “επιστροφή στην κανονικότητα”. Οφείλουμε ν’ αποτιμήσουμε την κατάσταση: Βιώνουμε ήδη μια συνθήκη όπου αδυνατούν να διατηρήσουν τον έλεγχο των δρόμων, σε αυτό το νέο κλίμα “διαχειρίσιμης” αστάθειας. Απλά κοιτάξτε γύρω σας την καμμένη γη, ακόμα και τούτη η χώρα δεν μπορεί να ξεφύγει απ’ αυτήν την τάση – μια γρήγορη ματιά στη δύση θα σας πείσει γι’ αυτό. Προκειμένου να έχουμε μια πραγματική, ποιοτική αλλαγή, πρέπει ν’ αποδράσουμε από κάθε ρουτίνα, ακόμη κι απ’ αυτές που πασπαλίζονται με “βίαια στοιχεία” και καταντάνε συνήθεια που μας παγιδεύει. Θέλουμε να σπάσουμε την εσωστρέφεια και να εκφράσουμε στον κόσμο ένα όραμα εξέγερσης και κοινωνικού πολέμου που υπερβαίνει κατά πολύ τις συγκρούσεις με τους μπάτσους – επειδή, σε αντίθεση με τις αναρχικές έξεις, η αστυνομία δεν είναι ο πραγματικός εχθρός, απλώς στέκεται ως εμπόδιο στον δρόμο μας. Ο πραγματικός εχθρός που χρήζει βίαιης αντιμετώπισης είναι η ίδια μας η μυωπική αντίληψη περί του τι είναι εφικτό, τι σημαίνει να ζεις. Για να σκίσουμε τη μάσκα από το πρόσωπο της εξουσίας, για να αντικρίσουμε το σύστημα ως αυτό το αδύναμο και σαθρό πράγμα που όντως είναι, πρέπει πρωτίστως να ανακαλύψουμε εντός μας τι είναι πραγματικά θαλερό, παρά τις όποιες διαφορετικές μορφές του, και αυτό θα μας δώσει τη δυνατότητα ν’ αρχινήσουμε μιαν αέναη και δίχως όρια ανταρσία, ν’ απελευθερώσουμε την απαξιωμένη φαντασία μας – να επενδύσουμε τις ζωές μας σε ό,τι δε δύναται να δεχθεί αντιπροσώπευση, μεσολάβηση ή σχηματοποίηση. Απέναντι σε αυτό, τα δικαστήρια, τα αστυνομικά τμήματα, τα κοινοβούλια, οι αίθουσες συνεδριάσεων, οι στρατοί, η Silicon Valley, το Εμπορικό Επιμελητήριο, φορείς όπως NATO/G8/G20/COP-?, τα κέντρα των “αντιτρομοκρατικών υπηρεσιών”, αποκαλύπτουν την πραγματική τους ταυτότητα – απλώς πολλά παράλογα θεάματα, με τόσους πολλούς ερασιτέχνες ηθοποιούς σε αναμονή να αποχωρήσουν από την αυλαία μόλις το κοινό απηυδήσει στην παθητική ενατένισή τους και αποφασίσει να μην κουρνιάσει στο σκοτάδι ούτε δευτερόλεπτο παραπάνω.

SOLIDARITY TEXT BY THE MEMBERS OF REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE IN GREECE FOR THE IMPRISONED COMRADES IN CHILE

We express our Solidarity to the imprisoned comrades in Chile who as of March 22 2021 have launch a mobilization with the characteristics of a long-term hunger strike demanding the release of anarchist prisoners, of prisoners for subversive activity, of prisoners from the bloody uprising of 2019 as well as the prisoners from the native Mapuche liberation struggle.
Also other requests concerning the amendment of a law regulating the conditional release of prisoners so that this remains an established right of prisoners and not a “privilege” as defined by current law. This law is photographic & biased and is more aimed at militant prisoners, at anarchist prisoners, at prisoners who are imprisoned for their struggle against the State and capital. It is a law that makes conditions for the possibility of release difficult. It turns out yet again that all over the world the enemy is one. It is the State and the international state-capitalist complex of power.

In one of Berlin’s squares where gentrification and repression are no longer a river in flood but rampant water, in the tide that destroys the shores of a historic neighborhood, lived and conquered with sweat, gasoline and barricades, the new puppets, the admirals of respectability and normalization, make their way sailing on shiny ships. At their passage the waters are stained with blood and protected by their domesticated thugs, they fill the overflowing flesh under their vests and swell the pockets of the real estate sharks. They build new islands made of large windows, lofts, luxury buildings, organic and minimal fake-craft stores, architectural monsters that house the offices of the newest start-up.
MalAradio is a vessel that sails in the opposite direction, shooting vitriolic sound waves, occupying an immaterial space: the sound, gunpowder of its cannons. From one of the few spaces that still resists in that square, malAradio spits its poison at full volume, rumbling in the streets, with the intent to choke on the salty breakfast to the yuppies born from normalization, who wallow, complicit, in this ocean of slime, shit and oppression.

Montréal Counter-info is Back
We are back from an involuntary absence of a few days due to the seizure by the Dutch police of the server hosting our site. The British police led this operation as part of an investigation into the 325 site, which was hosted alongside us on the same nostate.net server.

What remains is grief, anger and incomprehension
This text tries to come to terms with the events surrounding the repression case in Zurich, in which a former anarchist fellow directed suspicion towards other people in his environment in order to clear himself. It is about repression, betrayal and other abysses.
What is it about?
In January 2019, a former companion was arrested in Zurich. He was accused of arson attacks on army vehicles in Hinwil in 2015 and on the Waidberg emergency radio station of the Zurich city police in 2016. [5] Before his arrest, the former comrade was under surveillance for months.
In prison, the prisoner submitted a written statement to the public prosecutor’s office without consulting his circle of supporters during the final interrogation, i.e. before the investigation had been completed. In this statement, he denied having anything to do with the arsons of which he was accused and directed suspicion to his friends and acquaintances.

Protests Break Out Across US Over Police Shooting of Daunte Wright (USA)
The Minnesota police murder of Daunte Wright reignited impassioned protests across many US cities Monday night — with a riot in Portland, Oregon, as hundreds attacked cops.
A second night of demonstrations boiled in Brooklyn Park, where the murder occured, while protesters gathered in other cities in a show of unity. Researchers were able to locate and publicly post the address of the pig who murdered Daunte, driving her from her home.
“Burn the precincts to the ground, in every city and every town!” chanted marchers in Portland.

#KillTheBill: Bristol legal support in the streets and in the courts (UK)
Bristol Defendant Solidarity is organising this fundraiser.
People in Bristol standing up to unprecedented new police powers have faced immense police violence since Sunday March 21st. The last week has seen police charging crowds with horses, releasing attack dogs on protesters, pepper-spraying people indiscriminately and physically attacking journalists. Those arrested will face harsh charges as the state seeks to make an example of them.
We believe that no one taking part in protests for social justice should face the system alone. If you do too, please donate.
Hidden behind the police statements branding demonstrators “a mob of animals” and the later-retracted claims of officers facing broken bones and punctured lungs, is the hard work of activists pushing for police accountability. Bristol Defendant Solidarity (BDS) have been working for over a decade to support people facing police and state violence as a consequence for their activism. Now, we need your help.
We are aiming to raise an initial £15,000 with a stretch target of £30,000 to support people following Bristol’s #KillTheBill protests.
Avon & Somerset Police already have a long history of committing violence in our communities. The proposed Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill currently making its way through Parliament would give police sweeping new powers to criminalise protests, intensify the attack on Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities way of life, and increase the harsh effects of the criminal justice system with longer sentencing. And while people take to the streets to oppose it, the police have cracked down hard on the demonstrations.
Depending on need, and in this priority order, we will use this fund to support those targeted by police in connection with the Kill the Bill protests by:
• Supplying money for legal fees not covered by legal aid.
• Paying any travel costs to court.
• Covering loss of earnings sustained as a result of attending court.
• Supporting legal cases made against the police.
• Helping pay rent to ensure they can return to their homes after any custodial sentences.
In the unlikely event of there being any money left over from this, it will be held by BDS to support people in a similar way in the future. Solidarity is our best defence.

On 29.03.21 the Dutch police raided the data center that holds the nostate.net server, seizing the server itself as part of a criminal investigation into ‘terrorism’. Nostate.net is a collective that provided a platform for international movement websites from prisoner solidarity groups, multiple campaign collectives, anti-summit pages and international counter-information. Significant sites that used nostate.net as a platform that have been targeted by this repressive attack by the Dutch police are Anarchist Black Cross Berlin, Montreal Counter-Info, Northshore Counter-Info, Act For Freedom Now! (now re-activated on noblogs.org https://actforfree.noblogs.org/) and 325.
We as a collective are aware that this was not just an attack by the Dutch police, but was done in coordination with the Counter Terrorism Unit of the United Kingdom in connection with their recent repressive attacks upon the anarchist circles in this country. Not only have they been threatening ourselves, but recently threatened nostate.net unless they shut down our site. Along with this they demanded information be given to them of the identity of anyone involved in 325. The extent that the authorities will go to attack us and anyone they suspect of aiding us is of no surprise to us, the examples through history of state forces repressing anyone who dares to stand and fight them are numerous.
This repressive attack should be seen as an attack upon all
counter-information, on anarchist circles internationally. Under the present ongoing environment of Covid-19 and the repressive actions of states around the world, it is no surprise to us that they work together on an international level, the recent repression against anarchist comrade Gabriel Pomba da Silva, with co-operation between Spanish, Italian and Portuguese states, is a more than obvious recent example. 6 Months Undead. Liebig is Everywhere! (Germany , Berlin)
Six months since Liebig 34, as the constellation of the haus on the corner of Liebigstrasse and Rigaerstrasse, ceased to exist. Six months since years of struggle culminated in an eviction in the morning, a riot in the evening, countless other acts of solidarity -including an attack on the ringbahn which left it out of service for days- and ultimately the loss of a global symbol of anarcho-queer-
feminism.
But six months on and Liebig lives; in Bristol where last week a demonstration -following the kidnap and murder of Sarah Everard by a Metropolitican police officer- against gendered violence and a new authoritarian policing bill escalated into a night of violence against the police; in London where the same struggle resulted in the occupation of a disused police station; in Mexico City on International Women’s day, where militant feminists broke down the fence surrounding the National Palace and set fire to the riot cops‘ shields; in the last week in Berlin where the eviction of Meuterei and the ongoing threat to Rigaer 94, Potse, Koepi Wagenplatz and other projects saw demonstrating and attacks. With the haus gone Liebig is at once nowhere and everywhere.
