Thessaloniki, Greece: Solidarity with the survivor of the homotransphobic attack in Athens

Today 3/5 on the underground, at the Attiki station (green line) in Athens, a person was subjected to a homotransphobic attack by three fascists for simply existing as he is. They started with mockery, threw their cigarettes at him, then the stationmaster opened the train doors again, they came out and started beating him all together [on the platform].

Exarcheia under siege: Behind the Saturday’s Riot They Don’t Want You to Understand

On the Saturday night of April 12th 2025, dozens of anarchists attacked with Molotov the scores of riot policemen that had encircled a live gig taking place in Strefi Hill of Exarcheia, in support of the people in Palestine. The public discussion that followed the fierce riot that unfolded and the threats made by members of the greek government to crush the anarchist movement in the neighbourhood, was about the events of that night, but purposely avoided addressing the reasons that led to that.

Exarcheia has always been a place under siege and attack. But in the last few years, the transformation of the neighborhood is taking place through systemic violence, with gentrification as a weapon. Once a cradle of radical thought and political resistance, the neighborhood is now the site of what many describe as an occupation. On any given day, Exarcheia Square—the area’s only communal open space—is hemmed in by riot police. Three corners of the square are guarded 24 hours a day, their presence a constant reminder of the state’s menace to the people in the area. Since August 9, 2022, when construction began on a new metro station beneath the square, this militarized posture has only deepened. The project has been met with uncompromising local opposition, not only over the destruction of the sole green space but for what it symbolizes: the state’s determination to remake Exarcheia in its own image. Under the right wing New Democracy government, Exarcheia has become a symbol of ideological confrontation. Every day the police march in regimented formations, changing shifts with military-like choreography.

Taking responsibility for freeing a horse by ALF – Anarchist Anti-Speciesist Direct Action Cell (City of Kabalas ,Greece)

On April 22nd, we freed a horse that was chained in a field in Nikisiani, Kavala. We led the horse away from the place where it was confined and left it on the mountain, hoping that it would gallop independently towards freedom.

While traveling through the countryside, we saw something we already knew. That many animals live confined behind barbed wire, in cages or tied up in the yards of houses and fields. From sheep, goats, cows, chickens, dogs, horses, donkeys, and even deer.

Greece: Nikos Palaiokostas “has passed away”

Nikos Palaiokostas passed away today 26/4/25, at the age of 65 in Trikala hospital where he had been admitted following a health problem he had been facing. He is the eldest brother of the family, and brother of Vasilis Palaiokostas, on the evening of the 6th of June, 2006, a  helicopter landed in the yard of the Korydallos prison in Piraeus, a few moments later, it took off, carrying  Vassilis Palaiokostas and Alket Rizai. On February 22, 2009, escaped for the second time from Koridallos prison, who is still being sought by the authorities.

In recent years, Nikos had been released on terms and conditions from the prison of Lamia. Incompatible, unrepentant, for many years in illegality, he was one with his brother as well as with Kostas Samaras. A true wild man of the mountains who never bowed his head.

Greece: Incendiary attack-Thessaloniki by Anarchist arsons

At midnight on Thursday 3/4, we set fire to a van belonging to the Avance company in the Upper Town.

This company is a Greek company that has evolved and is making huge profits by exploiting the “most productive sector of the Greek economy”, tourism. With branches in all tourist areas and mainly the islands, it proves to us the lie of the ruling class that the development of tourism is good for all of us. They see the super profits of Greek and foreign capital, while we have a different picture.

For us, tourism is the 6-month season, gruelling 12-hour days, containers, “underwater services” and the exploitation of workers. For us, tourism is reflected in the murder of Antonis Kargiotis who was considered a refugee because he did not fit the profile of the rich white tourist. And of course, tourism means in our everyday life Airbnb, extremely expensive rents, a change in the structure of cities with the centres filled with hotels, shops and luxurious houses, while those who live and work here but do not fit the image built by capital are expelled to the suburbs. In two words, tourism means CLASS WAR.

Athens,Greece: Counter-information campaign at bus stops against the slaughter of animals at Easter from a struggle for total liberation and anarchy

COUNTERINTELLIGENCE ACTION AT BUS STOPS AGAINST THE SLAUGHTER OF ANIMALS ON EASTER

On the evening of “Maundy” Thursday, at the time when the mass slaughter of lambs and goats was at its peak, we carried out a counter-information campaign against this slaughter at bus stops in the centre of Athens. We unlocked the windows of the stops, stuck posters inside them and sealed them with silicone in order to prevent municipal crews from removing them immediately, which so far seems to have been successful.

The poster text:

YOUR TRADITIONAL CUSTOMS DRAW BLOOD

“Non-human animals experience pain, confinement, and brutal slaughter within a system of power and exploitation for profit. But lambs, goats, sheep, chickens, cows, pigs feel and seek life and freedom.”

Let us stand against the slaughter and exploitation of animals.

Athens,Greece : Solidarity attacks for comrade D. Klette

Daniela Klette, now 66, joined the revolutionary movement as a teenager. In 1978, a year after the “German Autumn” with the deaths of the “historical members” of the RAF in Stamheim prison, the 19-year-old Klette joined the local Red Help group (a solidarity organization for revolutionary prisoners) in Wiesbaden. There she met Birgit Hogefeld and Wolfgang Grams, who together would join the RAF’s armed struggle a few years later.

Together with other comrades, they will carry out actions of high
political importance, even in the conditions of capitalist restoration
in East Germany and “German unification”. Among other things, the German police charge Klette with participation in the bombing and complete destruction of the Weiterstadt prison and in the attack on the American embassy during the invasion of Iraq.

A coordination’s attacks in solidarity with the anarchists M.Μ, D.Ζ. | Deprivation of health care is torture

31/10/24 will remain forever engraved in our hearts, it will be a constant reminder of the reasons we are fighting for. On that day, in Arkadias Street, in Ampelokipi, an explosion occurs following the processing of explosives, with the tragic consequence of the death of the anarchist guerrilla Kyriakos Xymitiris and the serious injury of the anarchist Marianna M.

Marianna is transferred to Evangelismos Hospital with multiple injuries and a haematoma in her head. The anti-terrorist gang don’t miss an opportunity to take a blood sample from her, as long as she hasn’t fully regained consciousness. In the following days, a horror show begins inside the hospital, with her comrade isolated, her privacy violated and the interrogator herself pressuring her to testify, while she was not yet in a position to talk. The climate of revenge culminates with her transfer to prison on 15/11, just one day after undergoing surgery. From then on, imprisoned in Korydallos women’s prison, she is faced with miserable sanitary conditions and total lack of medical care. These conditions constitute a form of torture that shows the eternal hatred that the state has for every captured and oppressed activist. Marianna has not been given a CT brain scan to monitor the haematoma during the months she has been held in prison, with her dizziness constantly worsening. On the contrary, she has been informed by the prison neurologist that unless she has an epileptic seizure, she will not go to hospital.

Responsibility Claim for the bomb attack on the Ministry of Labour and Hellenic Train – Revolutionary Class Self-Defence (Athens,Greece)

RESPONSIBILITY CLAIM FOR THE BOMB ATTACK ON THE MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND HELLENIC TRAIN

via: darknights.

“Death on the scaffolding, death on the trains, capitalism is fed with blood”

Slogan born in the huge demonstrations of March 2023 for the state capitalist crime in Tempi.

On 26 January 2025 and 28 February 2025 respectively, hundreds of thousands of people demonstrated against the government of murderous anti-worker restructuring and Hellenic Train, a subsidiary of the Italian monopoly Ferrovie Dello Stato, which bears the main responsibility for the murder of 57 fellow human beings in Tempi on 28 February 2023.

The demonstrations and strikes are a contribution to the formation of our collective defence as a Class and at the same time, since they took place in a country that played an active role in the US-Zionist genocidal war in Palestine, a practical act of solidarity with the heroic Palestinian people, who, with gun in hand, are showing the way for the liberation of the peoples of the whole world.

Greece: INTERNATIONALIST SOLIDARITY WITH COMRADE SALVATORE VESPERTINO GHESPE IN ITALY

On February 15, anarchist comrade Salvatore Vespertino (Ghespe), who had been a fugitive for the last 2 years or so, was arrested in Madrid. According to the regime, his arrest was the result of cooperation between the authorities of various countries, including Greece.

The comrade was transferred to Italy on March 4th, initially to the Rebibbia prison in Rome and is currently imprisoned in Spoleto prison of Spoleto. In the early days of his detention in Spain, Ghespe was subjected to pressure and harassment by guards. At Rebibbia, the correspondence wasn’t delivered to him; visits and phone calls were not allowed until shortly before his transfer to the prison of Spoleto.

He was sentenced to 8 years in prison on charges of possession, manufacture and transport of an explosive device, grievous bodily harm and damage in the context of the Panico operation in 2017 in Florence. More specifically, he is accused of an improvised explosive device that was placed outside a fascist bookstore in Florence on New Year’s Day 2017.The device exploded in the hands of a pyrotechnics cop who did not even follow safety protocols, resulting in the loss of an arm and an eye.

Patras, Greece: Poster, Freedom for the anarchist prisoner K. K.

WE GREW WHERE WE WERE NOT SOWN IN SCORCHED EARTH

On Thursday 07/11/24, 17-year-old comrade K. K. is arrested in Messolongghi Town, accused of setting fire to a police investigation van, which occurred on 11/10/24, almost a month before his arrest. The charges he faces include arson, explosion, manufacturing and possession of explosives and damage to other people’s property. As part of a demonstration of state power, the comrade is transported with excessive police forces to the courts for his statement, is remanded in custody and on 13/11 is transferred to the juvenile prison of Kassavetias. Another flimsy indictment based on incomplete video footage recording a moving figure on the streets of the city, another vengeful prosecution by the mafia of the Hellenic Police and the judicial authorities in the wake of the state repression against those who resist.

“The social war is here and it is widening day by day, it is our duty to open wide comradely relations and the values of self-organization. Hotbeds of struggle everywhere from Messolonghi Town to Chile, from theory to practice and back again. Nothing is lost, nothing is over, and we continue to march against the state, capital, fascism, patriarchy, relations of exploitation until our last breath… for a free world.”

LET’S BRING EVERY PRISONER OF WAR BACK TO THE STREETS

ARSON ATTACK ON GOVERNMENT VEHICLES – Athens,Greece.

In the early hours of March 28, we placed six incendiary devices inside the ΕΥΔΑΠ (Hellenic Water Company) construction site in the Cholargos area, which engulfed state vehicles in flames. We are actively questioning the power of the state and the structure of its sovereignty, trying to weaken it by striking. We remind you that resistance action against the state and capital does not have one front, but many.

In order to achieve our promoted goals, it is necessary to overcome the limits of bourgeois legitimacy.

From the multiple demonstrations, to the extensive clashes with stones and Molotov cocktails in the central Syntagma Square, to the arson of state machinery, we are promoting the revolution everywhere and always.

KYRIAKOS YOU LIVE FOREVER A FIGHTER

EVERYTHING IN THE HANDS OF SOCIETY

CONSCIOUSNESS IS BUILT IN MASS STRIKES, OCCUPATIONS AND ON THE STREETS

EVERYONE ON THE STREETS ON MAY DAY

‘Provocateur Faction’ takes responsibility for the incendiary attack on the house and police guard of the Supreme Court President Ioanna Klapa (Athens,Greece)

“Injustice is not anonymous, it has a name and an address”

Bertolt Brecht

In the early morning hours of June 27th [2024] we attacked the house and the police guard of the President of the Supreme Court, Ioanna Klapa, in the Papagos area. That summer evening found the cop who happened to be on duty instead of carelessly gazing at Instagram photos or playing slots (in earlier watches this seemed to be how those on duty spent their time) screaming from the Molotov cocktails that burned him and then being rushed to the emergency room by his colleagues, badly injured. And Klapa, instead of sleeping, fearfully putting out the fire in the entrance and garden of her house.

But why did we choose to attack Klapa while her house was being guarded?

The most beautiful days are when it rains…stones on the streets (Athens,Greece)

FR:

THE BEST DAYS ARE WHEN IT RAINS…

The rallies of February 28th have left a resounding impression behind them. Everyone (government, think tanks, parties, media) sees the crowd gathered in terms of statistics and votes, “national mourning”, “indignation” and “expectation of a better state”. It is a convenient reading: it is wise to homogenize the widespread social dissatisfaction and anger – not only for the Tempi – under pandemic “national needs” because it is dangerous. To fit it into molds of loyalty and “peaceful protest” . To give “presence” to the Constitution – as if it were not a strike – but a social media event. To make the Tempi case a riddle to be solved by “experts” and “uneducated judges”. The people who took to the streets had somehow to conform to a savoir vivre defined by some abstract “common mourning”, to define themselves permanent victims (a favorite role of the left) who are only seeking a little state care and affection and not to express their anger at the oppression they receive on many fronts. To be indignant about the “cover-up” while forgetting something basic, that there is a permanent and concrete “cover-up”: in the world of the state, the bosses and the patriarchy, “accidents” happen to disposable lives. So it’s not just trains, but all of everyday life: from accidents in the workplace (45 dead already in 2025), the “deflected” police bullets on the bodies of “undesirables”, to the murders of immigrants at the borders…
