Greece: The 2024 Agenda of the Solidarity Fund for Imprisoned and Persecuted Fighters has been released

The 2024 Agenda of the Solidarity Fund for Imprisoned and Persecuted Fighters has been released

We have chosen to focus on the four years following 2008, judging that they present a qualitatively coherent structure in terms of a new cycle of political developments, of which 2009 was an explosive prelude. The four-year period 2009-2012 unfolds in the wake of the largest violent social explosion during the post-colonial period, on the occasion of the murder of the anarchist student, Alexandros Grigoropoulos, in December 2008 and while the country had already begun to sink into the first eddies of the global economic crisis that broke out in September 2008, with the collapse of the 4th largest US financial giant. These two peculiarities were to be a ticking time bomb for the already fragile climate of that time, causing social competition to explode to unprecedented levels through a veritable armageddon of developments.

Anarchist comrade Alfredo M. Bonanno has died on 6th December at the age of 86

You will always be alive with us through our action and our lives. “ACTION REPLACES TEARS”

Alfredo Maria Bonanno, born in 1937 in Catania, Sicily, is one of the most prolific contemporary anarchists, responsible for Anarchismo editions and other publishing ventures. In 1977 he was sentenced to 18 months in prison for his book La Gioia Armata (Armed Joy). This book had been published at a historical moment when the Italian revolutionary movement was openly going on the offensive, while similar conditions existed in other European countries (Germany, Spain, England, Greece, Chile and more) and the question of violence was on the daily agenda. His contribution lies in a celebration of the pervasive class violence that liberates and satisfies the individual, but at the same time he sounds the alarm about the emergence of the armed party, which reduces the class conflict to a militaristic dimension, imposing the mediation of a small minority of armed men on the complexity of tens of thousands of people struggling by all means against the current reorganization of Capital, which at that moment seemed weak.

In the spirit of the book, all authentic liberating and destructive action comes from a logic of satisfaction in the struggle, not a self-sacrificing duty in accordance with the dictates of a micro-bureaucracy. The Italian Supreme Court ordered the destruction of the copies of the book that were in circulation, and sent a circular to public libraries to dispose of any copies they might have had.

Several librarians objected to this Nazi-inspired tactic. Its circulation was generally banned, and copies were confiscated from the homes of anarchist militants in the context of police raids on houses.

Shortly afterwards, the author was accused of being an “instigator” of the Azione Rivoluzionaria, an armed organisation of 1976-79, which operated on the basis of “affinity groups” throughout central Italy, mainly against newspapers and party offices, and similar “manipulative mechanisms of consensus-building”. In 1979 the organisation was practically dismantled with the arrest of 86 people and the arrest of Salvatore Cinieri and Gianfranco Faina. The first went on to die in prison in a scuffle with criminal inmates when he defended a prisoner suspected of submitting an escape plan, while the second was released to die of lung cancer after being diagnosed with a tumour while in custody.

Greece: December 6 – We don’t forget, we don’t forgive

15 years have passed since the night of December 6, 2008 when the murderous cop Korkoneas killed the anarchist student Alexandros Grigoropoulos with his colleague Saraliotis watching.

15 years since the night that shocked the whole society and led to a huge social uprising that exploded like a bomb across the country and lasted for months.

15 years since night-time stopped. The promises we made then remain open. They show us all that has been lost and all that needs to be done now.

15 years and the murders have not stopped, just as the beatings, arrests, abuse and torture have not stopped. The State has continuity. Before and after December 6. That is why we continue to be in the streets.

We don’t forget, we don’t forgive.

Athens, Greece: Fire to the ATTIKO METRO machinery! By Anarchists

Athens,Fire to the ATTIKO METRO machinery! (excerpt)

In the early hours of November 17th, we attacked and set fire to 3 ATTIKO METRO machines at the construction site of line 4 in the area of Kaisariani at the junction of Ethnikis Antistaseos and Filolaou streets.

Our action is the conceivable sequel of the slogan that we shouted so many times together with thousands of other demonstrators at the gatherings and demonstrations against the destruction of Exarchia square by the cooperation of the state-contractors-Attiko Metro-municipal authority. Mobilizations that have intensified recently, after the invasion of the machinery in the square with the aim of clearing the area of trees, bushes, etc.

Finally, we chose our incendiary attack to take place at a time and day (early morning on November 17, 2023) when, according to media reports, 5000 thousand policemen were patrolling the streets of Athens ahead of the mobilizations for the 50th anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising. Our arson attack took place within breathing distance between the Kaisariani police station and the headquarters of the YMET (special units of the Greek Police)in Oulof Palme avenue, proving that the city belongs to those who wish to destroy order and not to those who are paid to enforce it. Now and always.

Athens, Greece: If you were invisible, would you rob a supermarket? by ALIENATION_2.0

Athens,  If you were invisible, would you rob a supermarket? by ALIENATION_2.0

At noon on Saturday 4/11, an expropriation took place at s/m My Market on Agia Sophia Street, in one of the most central parts of the Vyrvna  neighbourhood.

Supermarkets have always been one of the businesses that never miss an opportunity to turn every crisis into an opportunity to multiply their profits on our backs in a variety of ways. Either by draining their workforce with meager wages and flexible hours, or by imposing exorbitant mark-ups on all their products, with priority given to basic necessities further hampering our quality of life.

Athens, Greece: Claim for molotov attack on OPKE

Athens, Claim for molotov attack on OPKE

50 years after the Polytechnic uprising, 15 years after December ’08, which erupted after the murder of the anarchist student Alexandros Grigoropoulos, the states and the capitalists have launched an attack of unprecedented intensity on the conquests won through blood and struggle. The intensity of the attack is experienced by the most impoverished sections of society who are subject to daily exploitation. The murders in the workplaces and work sites, at the borders, in prisons and police checkpoints are dubbed ‘industrial accidents’, ‘isolated incidents’, ‘shootings’ and occupy a single column in the margin of a newspaper. But they are clearly state and capitalist killings in an environment where our lives are devalued and expendable.

In a neoliberal environment where the bosses, whose sole criteria is to increase their profitability, aim the guns of the cops at the disposable, poor, outcasts and petty criminals. The forces of repression have always been the murderous assault battalions of bourgeois democracy.

Athens,Greece: THE CONSPIRACY OF REVENGE Taking Responsibility For The Attack On The House – Offices Of The Company ERGOMAR

THE CONSPIRACY OF REVENGE : Taking Responsibility For The Attack On The House – Offices Of The Company ERGOMAR

We take responsibility for the attack on the home – offices of the ERGOMAR company of the well-known businessman Dimitris Marinelis, at 12 Hous Street, in Kifissia.

The reason the attack was carried out is to target the corrupt role of construction companies. It is an open secret that the collegium of politicians and big bosses share state resources and European funds, thus misappropriating large sums of money at the expense of the Greek people.

For years now, with direct assignments to their minions, they manage and obtain huge sums of money – kickbacks with the well-known over-budgeting of projects and materials needed for their implementation. Construction companies are the ones responsible for many workplace accidents, as in order to make as much profit as possible they reduce the necessary safety measures for workers.

Athens,Greece: Taking Responsibility For The Confidential Attack On The Renault Dealership by Anarchists

Taking Responsibility For The Confidential Attack On The Renault Dealership

It was early morning on October 15, the sky was completely dark. Municipal election day. We waited for the voters and the cops to move into the neighbourhood. The streets were almost empty. We reached our goal. We looked at each other with that spark in our eyes. Everything was clean. Nothing was stopping us. A few seconds before the action we wondered if it was worth it, fear took hold, but it is worth it for all the reasons in the world. Determination, the burning heart takes the place of fear. It’s one of the few times you smile. We give the final OK. The person activates the incendiary device, places it under the car. He makes the signal. We walk away, each in turn, seeing that no one in the neighbourhood noticed what had happened. Minutes later, when we were away, in the safety of the dark of night, the device activated and reduced five cars to a flaming mess. If the neighbours hadn’t been woken up by the sound of the fire, the fire siren certainly did it.

The only thing that makes sense in this miserable world we live in is to try to destroy it thoroughly. To resist it in every possible way. This small action is a contribution to this resistance. It is also an invitation to other individuals and groups to participate. There are state and capitalist goals everywhere all we need is a well organized plan and to overcome our fears individually and collectively.

Athens, Greece : Taking responsibility for the attack on a member of the fascist group propatria in Nea Ionia on Heraklion Avenue.

Athens: Taking responsibility for the attack on a member of the fascist group propatria in Nea Ionia on Heraklion Avenue.

On 28 October we chose to visit the coffee bar berry in Nea Ionia on Heraklion Avenue while Dionysis Karagiannis, a member of the fascist group propatria, was working there. Once again a member of propatria showed us his fighting skills by running to hide in the store’s warehouse. Propatria is a group that acts and moves invisibly, with little presence on the streets and usually for a short time, in the context of captions, “quotes” and in terms of spectacle, trying in this way to reach the youth, forcing the antifascist movement to take on the role of detective in order to reach its members.

They should be well aware that we will choose the target, the time and the place each time. It is the duty of the antifascist movement to dismantle every fascist cell, against any attempt at political reconstruction, with stubbornness, organisation and loyalty to each other.
