Berlin (Germany): cutting power to Europe’s largest technology park

[Note of Sans Nom: On Tuesday, September 9, in the southern districts of Berlin, at around 3:30 a.m., flames engulfed two 35-meter-high, 110-kV electricity pylons located on Königsheide Street in the Johannisthal district, cutting power to Europe’s largest technology park located nearby in Altendorf. Steel chains were also wrapped around the cable insulation sheaths to cause a short circuit once they had melted in the flames. These two pylons are located at the end of the overhead line, where electricity passes from the air to the underground route.
More broadly, all of the southern districts of the German capital were left without power, including its 50,000 residents, 3,000 businesses (including those in the technology park), shopping centers, trams, a dozen schools (which remained closed), traffic lights, and telephone communications.
The temporary connection system that was put in place only managed to restore full power after 60 hours (on the afternoon of Thursday, September 11), and repairs to the network on the two pylons are expected to last until 2026, according to a spokesperson for the company Stromnetz. This power outage in Berlin is also the longest in decades, since the accidental outage in Köpenick in February 2019 affected only 30,000 households and lasted about 30 hours.

Attack on the military-industrial complex – Blackout in Europe’s largest technology park
September 9, early morning: thousands of cities wake up, millions of people are roused from their sleep by the shrill beep of their alarm clocks, heralding the start of another day of monotony and apathy—15 minutes to drink a coffee before rushing off to work. An hour on public transport, a few exchanged glances, no one talking, everyone glued to their screens. Tons of cars crisscross the streets, the noise of sirens scaring the few birds circling above the city. Neighborhoods become a little more dreary every day. Loneliness settles in among the crowds, between concrete buildings, fences, and cameras. Surrounded by a police presence that threatens to suffocate us more and more.
Advertising screens encourage us to consume or invite us to join the German army (Bundeswehr). Yes, here we are again: “The world will rise again thanks to the German spirit” [a famous line from a poem by Geibel in 1861, intended as a call to the world to “become more German”]. The “historic turning point” requires unwavering defense of the homeland and readiness for war, with the “body of the people” sticking together and making sacrifices. Militarization is advancing, and behind the neoliberal promise of prosperity, the fascist face is showing itself more and more openly. Resignation and pessimism are gaining ground, and there is a certain sadness in the air.

Hamburg (Germany): Sabotage of port freight traffic

Sabotage warmongering and rearmament! “Whatever the cost.”

On the night of August 7-8, 2025, we sabotaged a freight railway line in the port of Hamburg, south of Wilhelmsburg. We deliberately chose this section because we did not want to impact rail passengers, who are already struggling, but rather the arms industry and warmongers.

The port of Hamburg is an important transshipment hub for military equipment. Tons of weapons, ammunition, military equipment, and components leave there every day.

Much of this military equipment is produced in Hamburg. Various Hamburg-based companies manufacture weapons themselves or knowingly supply specific components, whether optical, electronic, or mechanical. Those who profit from war supply both the Bundeswehr [German army] and the armed forces of other countries.

Potsdam (Germany): no television, no telephone, no internet

From switchoff, August 7, 2025 (excerpt)

No television, no telephone, no internet. Since Thursday morning, August 7, thousands of Vodafone customers in the city of Potsdam [in the suburbs of Berlin] have been without these services. The reason: arson!

At around 8 a.m., the police received an emergency call: a fire was raging near the Nuthebrücke bridge on Friedrich-Engels Street in Potsdam. Flames were shooting out of a cable shaft. Since then, four Vodafone relay antennas have been out of service. 6,422 of the company’s cable customers can no longer access the internet at home, make phone calls, or watch television. southwestern France, Luzenac (Ariège): Sabotage of the world’s largest talc quarry

Luzenac: has a criminal act targeted the talc quarry?
La Dépêche du Midi, June 5, 2025

Has the Trimouns quarry, one of the world’s largest talc operations, been the target of an act of vandalism? Situated at an altitude of over 1,500 meters, this strategic site alone accounts for almost 10% of the world’s production, with 400,000 tons extracted every year. A fire of suspicious origin recently damaged essential installations, without however interrupting operations.

At around 5 a.m. on Monday May 12, teams from Imerys, the multinational in charge of operations, discovered the damage. The installations upstream of the cable car had been hit by a fire, causing extensive material damage. “Initial observations reveal that the conveyor belts and electrical system have been severely damaged,” confirms a company spokesperson. No casualties were reported, but according to several sources, the cost of repairs would exceed half a million euros. The group declined to comment on this estimate.

Three Rail fires in three months: some facts and thoughts (USA)

via: rosecitycounterinfo

Over the last three months, three rail bridges have been damaged or destroyed by fires in the Oregon and Washington area. Each of these fires was set intentionally. No arrests have been made, and to our knowledge, none of these actions have been accompanied by any claim or explanation.

But the world around us is the only explanation we need.

As we barrel forward towards a future of untold climate disasters and total ecological mutilation, the processes of extraction show no sign of stopping… They have only accelerated, with companies racing to exploit new corners of the earth for rare-earth minerals, essential components in chips and semi-conductors, the building blocks of our new digital prisons. Power has proposed false “green solutions” that only serve to further our dependence on technology and extraction and polish the face of industrial capitalism.

The fires

In May, a fire completely destroyed a 100 year old wooden rail bridge along a remote stretch of the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad in Washington. By the time firefighters could reach the blaze, the rail bridge was reduced to a smoldering, maimed clump of metal. The fire struck just hours after a sale was completed of the railway, transferring ownership to the Western Forest Industries Museum. Rail Operations were limited at the time of the fire, but the new company had planned to fully resume rail traffic on the line, both tourist and freight. Even after months of investigation, no arrests have been made. Continue reading Three Rail fires in three months: some facts and thoughts (USA)

Hohenmölsen (Germany): Sabotage of coal transport rail line

During the night of Friday to Saturday, August 2, unknown individuals deliberately set fire to cables along a freight rail line used to transport coal. A section approximately 100 meters long was affected, involving cables with a diameter of 40 centimeters. The investigation has been handed over to the State Security Service (Staatsschutz).

Châtel-Saint-Denis (Switzerland): flooding deep sea miners

flooding deep sea miners

[On April 24, North American President Donald Trump signed an executive order to allow large-scale mineral extraction in the deep ocean, including international waters, regardless of what the IAMF (International Seabed Authority) thinks. This is how many people discovered the existence of the Canadian company The Metals Company (TMC), which immediately declared itself ready to scour the seabed, but also its Dutch-Swiss shareholder Allseas, which employs around 4,000 people worldwide and has the robot technology to do so.

Rome, Italy: Claim for the burning of 17 cars at the Tesla dealership,Rome, 31 March 2025

Few people in the world today incarnate absolute Evil equal to that of the infamous technocrat billionaire Elon Musk. It would be simplistic though to see him as a classic cartoon “baddie”, a character which none the less suits him perfectly, without realising that this contemptible individual is only the product of an economic and social system marching towards its very self-destruction and that his expansionist ambitions symbolically sum up those of the system itself.

Officially entering the field of politics, all this is exemplified in his servility to Trump, who placed him in the front line of the reactionary, imperialist, sexist and supremacist offensive in course in the United States. In particular, as a prize for his millionaire support to the electoral campaign, the newly-elected president assigned his preferred Dark Maga leadership of the DOGE, body created ad hoc which rapidly spent itself in cuts and reforms aimed directly or indirectly at striking that slice of the population seen by the new elite as “surplus”.

Düsseldorf (Germany): Double blow to rail traffic!

[Note of Sans Nom: In Germany’s seventh largest city, Düsseldorf, located in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, the “Angry Birds Commando” has been making headlines regularly for several years. In August 2024, for example, it claimed responsibility for a fire involving railway signaling cables in Mettmann, adding to its previous acts of sabotage against rail traffic: one in Düsseldorf in January 2024, and five others in the same city claimed in May 2023. After generously sharing a manual entitled “Burning Cables for Beginners” in the fall of 2024, it revisited its own vision of collapse in its Communiqué No. 4 published in January 2025, then claimed responsibility for the sabotage of three new telecommunications antennas in June 2025.

In the middle of summer, the “Angry Birds Commando” has caused yet another disruption just days before a huge rush: on the night of Wednesday, July 30 to Thursday, July 31, on one of Germany’s most important railway lines, between Duisburg and Düsseldorf, where more than 620 trains pass daily (excluding freight trains) and just a stone’s throw from the airport, a double simultaneous attack was carried out on the cables along the tracks. The first damaged nearly 60 meters of cable near a signal box, and the second, a kilometer further on, destroyed five fist-sized cables, each measuring 20 meters in length. Responsibility for this sabotage was claimed in Angry Bird Commando’s communiqué no. 6, published on July 31 on de.indymedia, which we have translated from German below.]

Railway sabotage – Communiqué No. 6
Switch off the system of destruction

The Rhine-Alpine corridor connects Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Duisburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Mannheim, Basel, Zurich, Milan, and Genoa, some of Europe’s most significant economic centers. In the Duisburg-Düsseldorf-Cologne region, this corridor encounters one of its many bottlenecks. Any disruption to rail traffic at this location has direct or indirect repercussions on this economic area due to the rerouting of the impacted trains.

Enbridge Sabotage: Disruption of Service on Line 9B (Canada)

The boreal forest is burning, the water is being poisoned, all the trees are being cut down, and the treaties are being betrayed. The mirage we call “liberal democracy” bows down to the oil lobby. There is talk of new pipelines that will cross the country like scars, new gas projects that will disfigure the land.

Our history has always been that of an extractive colony founded on plunder and dispossession. It’s up to us to put an end to this disaster.

Last night, we attacked line 9B. This pipe of death snakes through lands stolen from Indigenous peoples, transporting the world’s dirtiest bitumen through waterways, cities and our lives. We hit two control valves, destroying the electronic equipment before vanishing into the night.

Labège (Haute-Garonne): Before daybreak (France)

IAATA, June 2025

On the night of the 25th, a cell tower in Labège, south of Toulouse, was set on fire. A humble contribution to the global resistance effort against the war effort of states and industrialists here and abroad.

The intensification of digital capacity within and outside of Europe is one of the many projects for the war efforts of the countries in the transatlantic alliance. The aim is to establish a digital stronghold.
